Scooter, Ollie and Lily. Khala's FAVORITE clients.

We called Karma Dog Training to help transition from two dogs to three when we rescued our third miniature schnauzer. Khala was our trainer and we were incredibly happy with her. She is incredibly personable and a pleasure to interact with. We've worked with trainers in the past, both good and bad, and we immediately saw that Khala was very knowledgeable and understood dog behavior very well. All three of our dogs adored her and had so much fun working with her (as did the humans!). She answered all our questions and concerns in detail. We never felt stupid and always felt like she went above and beyond to not only answer our questions but help us understand the theory behind what we were being asked to do. We had three at home sessions with her and plan to do some reverse board and train to fine tune a few issues. 10/10 would recommend Khala in a heartbeat (15/10 if you ask my dogs).

Being first time dog parents of a German Shepherd, my husband and I knew we couldn't train our puppy alone. We knew all of the things we didn't want her to be and we were sure of the things we wanted out of her. We wanted to be certain our pup Luna was able to come with us wherever we went and be obedient to us, her keepers, but that she also was very social and able to get along with other dogs and humans. Karma dog training was seriously our saving grace, specifically Pilla Osborn. We just completed our last training session with Pilla and we are so thankful to have been paired with her to train Luna. She was so good with her and really was able to be the communication between our pup and us! Pilla was extra kind with Luna but knew exactly how far to push Luna in her training. Amongst Luna simply being more obedient to us, she has learned all of her basic commands (Sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, place, kennel, fetch, heel, and shake) at 5 months old. Most importantly, Pilla gave us the proper foundation to teach her anything we desire! Luna is such a friendly dog that she likes to bark at other dogs for the simple fact that she feels like she needs to meet them. We, as her parents, could do without the barking! For our last training session, Pilla brought her own dog to help us train Luna with barking at other dogs that Luna has yet to meet. We met at a quiet bark park and got to work! This was the perfect environment for Luna to work in and know that she doesn't need to bark at dogs she has yet to meet. With all of this being said, I highly recommend Pilla Osborn for your personal training sessions. She used each minute of training wisely and as an end result, we now have a well tempered, social and obedient puppy!

I have a one and a half year old Rottweiler/American Staff mix rescue (Django) that was quite unruly. Key word here being "was." I contacted Karma Dog Training after seeing their great reviews to help me get a better handle on my little boy because he had some anxiety and aggression towards people. They got back to me pretty fast and in no time I was contacted by Khala. Let me just say that Khala is absolutely amazing. She was super patient with both Django and I. Khala came up with a personalized plan for us and was super thorough when teaching the both of us. She even provided detailed follow up emails with a recap on what we covered, what Django and I should be working on during the week, and resources such as videos and articles to help out. I really appreciated that because I forget everything. She also makes herself widely available if you have any questions before the next session. After the first session and a few days of applying what we'd learned, there was already a noticeable change in Django's behavior. He was much calmer, way less destructive, and much easier to manage when he acted out. I can't say that every dog will make as much progress after the first week as he did, as every dog learns at a different pace, but you won't regret getting help from Karma Dog Training. This whole experience has been fantastic and not only made Django and I feel more confident in ourselves, but improved our relationship as well. In short, Khala is an awesome trainer and without her help, Django and I would be totally lost. This isn't just a learning experience for your dog. Your dog's behavior doesn't just change from one day to the next. Training your dog involves YOU taking the time and effort to reinforce what your trainer has taught. If you need help managing your dog's aggressive behavior, I would HIGHLY recommend Khala and Karma Dog Training.

But Pilla has kept in contact with me over the weeks to make sure I'm repeating the fundamentals with my dog.

I had to wait a day before writing this review, because I wanted to write it with a clear head. I…read morewas too disappointed and upset yesterday when I picked up my two airedales from the grooming. First off, they didn't have my appointment shceduled when I arrived with the two of them at 7:30am. But they went ahead and took them. I had made the appointment the week before, after calling around looking for a place that had experience grooming airedales. They were the first to tell me they were. In fact, shared with me that they had a couple of airedale clients they groom. Just in case, before turning my airedales over to the groomer, I told her specifically. that I liked a long beard and mustache, and not to cut them. I even went as far as to give her photos of how I wanted the "head", showing different angles. I even told them what size blade to use. All I can say is, the ears are right on both dogs. I have no idea how many months...maybe a year, for my female to grow her beard back. Or how long her hair will grow back on her face so she doesn't look like a poodle or whatever that's supposed to be. The Groucho Marx eyebrows and the mustaches....I'll have to do or find another groomer just to fix them. And poor Roadie, he has been limping on his right front leg since we got him home. I was hoping it'd be better today, but it's not. Will have to take him into his vet. if there's no improvement. Don't know what happened, but he didn't have a limp when he went there yesterday morning. And they sure didn't say anything on how he may have hurt himself or gotten hurt. One thing I will not be doing, is taking them to the Big Dog Show at Reliant Stadium , in Houston, for "Meet the Breed". In the past, I've always taken our airedales for that. It's like a "show and tell" , where people can see and touch different AKC breeds and get information about them. They do not represent what an airedale should look like. Not even as a "pet". I didn't expect a show cut, but I did expect an airedale cut from someone who claimed they were experienced and knowledgeable to do that. I have serious doubts...serious doubts that was truthful. The price....shocking...$335.60 ($25.60 was sales tax) I was told $95 each for the grooming because of their weight. Then the upcoding for the nails ($15), conditioner ($5), dematting ($10) (was told they found a mat under Roxie's front leg, I told them to just cut or shave it off..it wouldn't show anyway), they said nothing about finding any mats on Roadie, but I was charged for them.). Then an extra $30 charge for "scissor service". I wasn't told this would be an extra charge above the "grooming service". And what was the "add on pattern set service" ($10) for Roadie? That was a whole other charge...and not one for Roxie. But I guess she was so messed up, they couldn't claim that. Roxie did have a cute bandana that was so tight on her neck, we had to cut it off. Roadie didn't have one, Maybe all they are used to doing are small dogs? You would have thought they would have put some cologne on them at least, but no. Just as well, they probably charged for that. I was shocked at the price. And of course, we had to pay before they brought the dog's out. And they don't give you a receipt of the charges, either. When I got home, I had a mystery message to click some weird link on my phone from an unknown number. Nothing that said it was from Red Bluff Pet Resort. Just a link to "view Roxie and Roadie's report card" and to "click this link to get pre approved for credit". After getting on my computer, I was finally able to figure out it came from them, and the desk person had signed me up for it. First off, there was no report card. There was a place for putting my credit card information in for them to make things easier for next time (as if). And I finally found my receipt and the breakdown of charges. It was a very expensive lesson. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a groomer that really does know how to groom an airedale in the Deer Park, Texas area. Photo of Roxie and Roadie. Then a photo of how they should look. One doesn't look like the other. An experienced groomer would know exactly how to do this. They were both in a "pattern". They just needed to be cut down shorter for the summer
