Scooter, Ollie and Lily. Khala's FAVORITE clients.

We called Karma Dog Training to help transition from two dogs to three when we rescued our third miniature schnauzer. Khala was our trainer and we were incredibly happy with her. She is incredibly personable and a pleasure to interact with. We've worked with trainers in the past, both good and bad, and we immediately saw that Khala was very knowledgeable and understood dog behavior very well. All three of our dogs adored her and had so much fun working with her (as did the humans!). She answered all our questions and concerns in detail. We never felt stupid and always felt like she went above and beyond to not only answer our questions but help us understand the theory behind what we were being asked to do. We had three at home sessions with her and plan to do some reverse board and train to fine tune a few issues. 10/10 would recommend Khala in a heartbeat (15/10 if you ask my dogs).

Being first time dog parents of a German Shepherd, my husband and I knew we couldn't train our puppy alone. We knew all of the things we didn't want her to be and we were sure of the things we wanted out of her. We wanted to be certain our pup Luna was able to come with us wherever we went and be obedient to us, her keepers, but that she also was very social and able to get along with other dogs and humans. Karma dog training was seriously our saving grace, specifically Pilla Osborn. We just completed our last training session with Pilla and we are so thankful to have been paired with her to train Luna. She was so good with her and really was able to be the communication between our pup and us! Pilla was extra kind with Luna but knew exactly how far to push Luna in her training. Amongst Luna simply being more obedient to us, she has learned all of her basic commands (Sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, place, kennel, fetch, heel, and shake) at 5 months old. Most importantly, Pilla gave us the proper foundation to teach her anything we desire! Luna is such a friendly dog that she likes to bark at other dogs for the simple fact that she feels like she needs to meet them. We, as her parents, could do without the barking! For our last training session, Pilla brought her own dog to help us train Luna with barking at other dogs that Luna has yet to meet. We met at a quiet bark park and got to work! This was the perfect environment for Luna to work in and know that she doesn't need to bark at dogs she has yet to meet. With all of this being said, I highly recommend Pilla Osborn for your personal training sessions. She used each minute of training wisely and as an end result, we now have a well tempered, social and obedient puppy!

I have a one and a half year old Rottweiler/American Staff mix rescue (Django) that was quite unruly. Key word here being "was." I contacted Karma Dog Training after seeing their great reviews to help me get a better handle on my little boy because he had some anxiety and aggression towards people. They got back to me pretty fast and in no time I was contacted by Khala. Let me just say that Khala is absolutely amazing. She was super patient with both Django and I. Khala came up with a personalized plan for us and was super thorough when teaching the both of us. She even provided detailed follow up emails with a recap on what we covered, what Django and I should be working on during the week, and resources such as videos and articles to help out. I really appreciated that because I forget everything. She also makes herself widely available if you have any questions before the next session. After the first session and a few days of applying what we'd learned, there was already a noticeable change in Django's behavior. He was much calmer, way less destructive, and much easier to manage when he acted out. I can't say that every dog will make as much progress after the first week as he did, as every dog learns at a different pace, but you won't regret getting help from Karma Dog Training. This whole experience has been fantastic and not only made Django and I feel more confident in ourselves, but improved our relationship as well. In short, Khala is an awesome trainer and without her help, Django and I would be totally lost. This isn't just a learning experience for your dog. Your dog's behavior doesn't just change from one day to the next. Training your dog involves YOU taking the time and effort to reinforce what your trainer has taught. If you need help managing your dog's aggressive behavior, I would HIGHLY recommend Khala and Karma Dog Training.

But Pilla has kept in contact with me over the weeks to make sure I'm repeating the fundamentals with my dog.

I told her that would be fine. After I get back I have her start providing housekeeping services as well. She wanted me to sign a document for maid service. She seemed really nice, and I trusted her. She later tells me I am locked into a 1 month contract. I do not believe she ever told me that it was a long term contract. I decided to say nothing, and continue on with the service, but just never use her again after the 1 month was up. At a certain point into that she tells me that her relative with dementia also stayed there when I was gone during the pet sitting visit. She also says that she brought her dog along as well. She said the dog did not get along with my cat. I found like maybe 15 opened spaghetti packages in my pantry after my trip. They were not used, just opened lol. They were bulk packages in plastic from Costco, and thought maybe there was an issue with the store. After she told me about the family member with dementia that was there, I wonder if it was caused by her. After this I never wanted to use her for pet sitting. I have since found a couple of really great pet sitting companies, which I am really grateful for! I have been using them exclusively since then. I had tried out a few freelance maids, but never had good experiences. I decided to try out her services again. I thought that if I just do not sign any contracts or let her be alone in my place, it will be ok. I felt she did a good job cleaning before. She came over, and while she was cleaning my bathroom it started leaking around my faucet. There had been an ongoing issue with the faucet leaking, but it had stopped after a plumber tightened it several months back. I asked her to not use a toothbrush or abrasion to clean any other places that have caulking. I normally just use alcohol and a towel. I never told her that she was responsible or got upset with her. She then got upset, and used a disrespectful tone to talk to me. I just ignored it. I had also asked her to not use scented dish-soap to clean as I have sensitive skin. She never used these cleaners before when she cleaned. She suggested vinegar instead, and I told her that I had some. She then started cleaning with vinegar. Later on she said that I should not really use vinegar to clean because it can damage things when used longterm. Why would she suggest it then, if she thinks it will cause damage? It seems very passive aggressive. Is she in intensionally trying to damage my things? She then went on about all of these problems in her life. I had asked her about coming everyday part way through the visit, but after the visit was over I just felt drained and gross. It was way too much bad energy. I later see all these brown specs in my toilet. I try to use the toilet brush to remove them. I notice they were lower in the bowl as well where stuff should not stick. I then see that they are divots with rust. I have never had this happen to any toilet in any home I have ever lived in. The toilet is less than 2 years old, and a high end brand. I paid almost 1k to have it installed. She claims she only used dish soap to clean my toilet lol. I believe the damage was intensionally caused by her because she was upset that I asked her to not use a toothbrush to clean my caulking. She could have a very successful business as a housekeeper and pet sitter, if she just acted normal, and did basic things right. Honestly, I am just happy I never have to see her again. I would gladly pay 1k to get this person out of my life, so I guess it was a bargain to have my toilet ruined lol. I have learned my lesson. I am going to stop using freelance maids from now on. I have had too many bad experiences. I am going to instead use a cleaning company, professional organizer, prepared meal service, and a laundry delivery service. I am sure it will cost a more money, but is is worth it knowing that there is a company managing and vetting the employees.
