Coach started PD walks a little over a month ago, and we have had the greatest experience with Elena and her son, Nick. My work schedule can be a inconsistent and PD walks has been so helpful and flexible when we need it. Not to mention, Coach loooooves her and is so tired after a long play day. She sends updates when they are en route to and from my house and always lets me know when he is safe and sound at home. She also sends pictures and videos from his day, so I know he is taken care of and loved. They have been the best to work with, and I would recommend to anyone! Elena is not only the best dog sitter we've ever had, but when our older border collie mix started having some serious separation anxiety issues, Elena stepped in to offer the most well thought out advice. We brought our pup to her so she could evaluate what was going on, and when he came home, she walked us through a step by step process that allowed him to be confident being home alone again. I was seriously concerned that we wouldn't be able to leave him alone ever again, but Elena knew what to do, and encouraged us to patiently stick with the program. Why I love PDWalks so much..... Elena, Nick and Jason have been taking care of my two idiots for over a year now while I work 10-18 hr shifts running a restaurant. Last week I noticed a "bump" on my youngest Dane Moose's paw. Of course he went to the vet to get checked out. But today he somehow ripped it open while he was at the park w the Nick. Bleeding everywhere Elena text me letting me know what happened and before I could even say I had septic powder at home, I'll meet Nick there, she told me they already put some on his paw, cleaned him up and just wanted to keep me in the loop( all the while sending me pictures so I could see how bad it was). I can't tell you the countless times over the past year they have saved me getting stuck at work, or a last minute "I need you to watch them this weekend" , or the unforeseen accident like today. If disorganization bothers you, then look elsewhere. What I did *not* like about PD Walks: -inconsistency with walkers -inconsistency with reports (they usually send a text and picture update, but not always) -prepaid walks (use them or lose them in 1 month) -disorganization with the whole process (many times did I have to correct Elena on how many walks we had used and when) A major issue we ran into is that one of the dog walkers did not put on my dog's harness correctly, resulting in her running into the middle of a very busy street. Thank goodness nothing happened... Elena apologized (although kinda tried to blame it on my dog) and I was just thankful nothing happened, but I should have been way more upset than I was. Little things after that kept happening, the walkers couldn't follow simple instructions (like please leave the bedroom door closed) and then the final straw was them losing my apartments keys. Elena acted as if it was no big deal and said she'd find them (it's been months now and who knows where our keys are). What I've learned from using PD Walks is not to trust just anyone with your dogs. If you want to use a semi-cheap dog walker and don't care about consistency with who walks them or what time of day, then try them out. I seem to be the only negative review so maybe we just got unlucky. read more

I strongly recommend PDWalks because they are reliable, patient, and persistent. Heidi the dachshund is very difficult and stubborn to walk during bad weather. They have been extremely patient with this issue, even changing their schedule to walk her at a more favorable time. Our other dog, Davis, is untrusting of strangers. PDWalks managed the problem by using a consistent walker and reminding us to use a leash extension if there was a substitute walker. I was working in HTX for 2 months and needed a concierge pup-sitter service that could pick them up in AM, watch them during day and drop them off at night. PDwalks came to the rescue. They are great about communicating with you when they are on their way to walk your dog and they give you a report shortly after every walk, often containing a picture of your dog from that walk. Due to my variable work and travel schedule, I have needed various levels of help at different times. At some points they have given Zoey a midday walk 7 days a week plus petsit her 3-6 nights per month. At other times they only walk her or petsit for her a few days a month. I'm only giving one star because giving zero stars is not an option. They charge walks in packages ranging from 5-25 walks a month. I signed up for the 10 walks a month because my husband has a rotating work schedule so our schedule is constantly changing each week. They didn't accommodate our schedule but I was desperate so I regrettably signed the contract. They have various walkers come in so the person who walks my baby is always changing. This is not something I like but I agreed, again regrettably. The dog walker was over 30 minutes late for the first visit (gave times of walk between 11am-1pm) and didn't stay for the full 30 minutes. I only know this because they provide a sign-in sheet that all walker complete after the walk. Then for the second walk, they were late again after I expressed concern. My pup was 5 months old and I leave the house at 5:30am. To arrive after the designated times and not stay for the full time is unacceptable. I called the owner and told her I was looking elsewhere because I wasn't satisfied. She yelled at me...extremely unprofessional. She called me names and from that moment, I never trusted her or her walkers in my home again. What would they do to my baby? Hurt her? With a personality like that, I don't trust her. I started searching more and found another walker who is flexible with our schedule, the same person walks my baby, and a nice person. Also, the owner wouldn't give me my money back because I signed the month contract. Her lawyer contacted me and we came to a deal. She ended up charging me for the "complimentary" visit. So for 2 walks, I paid $160. Stay away from this company if you care about your pet. This company will trick you and is in business for all the wrong reasons! They are untrustworthy, disrespectful liars. read more

I've used PD Walks for 6 months now and I'm really happy with the service. They have a monthly membership and come walk my dog everyday during lunchtime. I love that I get a text message when they arrive and they also send the occasional picture or video. When I'm out with my dog and she sees one of the walkers her tail always starts wagging and she pulls toward them to go say hi. An amazing dog sitting experience!!!! I'm writing this review after Elena at PDWalks dog sat for my little Yorkie, Cuddles (5-lb. female), while I went to Mexico. Two days before I was leaving for Mexico, a family member backed out of dog sitting for me. I had no back-up options, had done no research and was leaving to Mexico in two days for a 5-day vacation. I found Elena through the amazing Yelp reviews and she lives up to the 5-star rating. She did a thorough debriefing over the phone and asked all the right questions. She was able to take Cuddles on extremely short notice and she picked up Cuddles the next day at my house. She stayed at Elena's house for 6 nights. Cuddles has only been around a few other dogs and was a little scared at first. Elena put her at ease and clearly loves her job. She sent me pictures and/or videos every day. She updated me on how Cuddles was reacting to her new environment. Elena quickly recognized that Cuddles had been primarily a lap dog and helped ease her in to meeting new animal friends. Elena introduced her to a cat and helped her become comfortable with the new interaction. She provided regular updates regarding pick up and drop off time. I have had my dog walked by PDwalks every day of the week for the past 3 months. So far, it has been a pleasant experience and it has given me a peace of mind throughout the day. It was necessary for us as my spouse is always out of town and my work schedule is highly variable. To this day, PDwalks has always delivered on the promise of taking my dog for a walk everyday while I am at work. The pricing is fair in comparison to all other options we have looked into and I can pay for a month or two in advance so I don't have to think about it. I get daily notification when the walker is on the way, when he/she arrives, a picture (or more and of surprisingly good quality) of the walk/play accompanied by a little report. My dog appears to be getting a good work out (judging from her tongue touching the ground on the pics I get) and she get to stay in her environment. PD Walks has been an extreme help in raising my puppy Nala. We started out getting walks once a day during the week, and Elena went out of her way to call me and propose a plan which included dog park visits every week for a low additional cost. This helped get Nala the much needed playtime she deserved and kept her from trying to wiggle out of the crate and destroy the furniture. PD walks has employees who truly enjoy walking the dogs, go out of their way to ensure the pups get enough water, love and treats while they are there, and you even get a lovely update of your dog's walk and a nice photo to help brighten your day. Update- 9/29/17: I had an out of town work lasting around two weeks and phoned Elena to see if they could accommodate Nala in their walk schedules. We had moved further away (in the Spring Branch area), but Elena did not hesitate to work with her schedule of walkers to facilitate the two weeks worth of walks for Nala. Each day you get an update of the walk with a nice summary of the walk, anything in the house such as refilling food or water bowl, and best of all you get a lovely picture of your pup happy out on their walk. It's great to know that we always have a reliable, friendly, and hardworking group to help us when we need to get Nala walked while we are working long hours. I absolutely love PDwalks!! I was so nervous to go out of town and leave my pups in someone else's care but boy did Raymond calm every fear before and during my trip. Before I left he repeated the routine to me and addressed all my fears; he let me know when he arrived, sent pictures and gave detailed updates. There was never a lack of communication and when my dog started acting out (tore up a book from the bookshelf) Raymond immediately thought to block it off with some chairs and offered to give longer walks so as to tire my pup out.
