This was the only Vodka option available. It is $9 for a handle- 1.75 liters.
    Buddy S.

This is an overall review of Whale's Tale. There are two major water parks in the state of NH- Water Country and Whale's Tale. To be honest, if we're going solely on the water rides, amenities/attractions and their customer service, Whale's Tale is far better than Water Country. That said, they fail in a significant area- their bar. I went with a couple friends for the day on the 4th of July. I had approximately one drink for every hour I was in the park. I originally asked the bartender for a Tito's and club soda with a splash of Cranberry. She told me they didn't have Tito's and that they only had their house vodka. I had no other choice since that is all they offered. Keep in mind almost all their "specialty" cocktails were vodka based. Towards the end of the day I actually watched her make my drink. This is when I realized they were literally using the cheapest vodka known to man. I wasn't really happy about it. But what's done is done. As I looked it up online I found you could currently buy a 1.75 liter handle of this vodka at any NH liquor store for $8.99. You can do the math yourself. They charge $12 for any drink with vodka in it. $12 is not unreasonable for a basic mix drink at a venue of any kind. Some places may even charge up to $15-$16 for one. But those places will also use a reasonable mid shelf vodka like a Tito's or KettleOne ($30/handle). Some places may use a little lower end like an Absolute ($20-$25/bottle). The only place that you would find that MIGHT have no other option but "Vanka" is the lowest of low dive bars. But usually even they offer a mid shelf option. And if you got a vodka drink with Vanka it would be $4-$5...because they are using literally 25 cents worth of vodka and still making good margins on the drink at $4-$5. Fast forward to an hour after I left the park. I have a head ache I can't get rid of. I honestly slept awful that night cause the headache wouldn't go away even with asprin. The next morning I text my friend and tell him I still couldn't shake the headache in the morning. He tells me his wife (who was drinking the same stuff). Had the same exact head ache issues. We were by no means intoxicated. We both can handle our alcohol. But we both were served the sh*ttiest vodka known to man. The place should honestly be embarrassed they serve the trash with no other option and charge $12 for it. Lesson learned- go for the park and cool off enjoying the nice mountain views in a beautiful country setting. But stay far away from their trashy bar if you want any kind of hard alcohol or you will pay the price!

Packed full of Fun - Whales Tale's is a winner with our family. The White Mtns has a lot to offer. About 2.5-3 hours away this is one cool spot. Exit 33 just of I-93 and only about a half mile off the exit and super easy to find. - Pizza place right across the street. - Go there buy your pizza and bring it back. This place is just the right size. Big enough for a few days of entertainment and not too overwhelming that the kids would get lost. Our 4 girls ran about all day from place to place and had a blast! Cost/Price $32 - Pay the same price and you can go after 3 til 6. Then go back again the next day on the same ticket from 10-6. We did this and it worked out great. The first half day they all got familiar with the park. The next full day they were ready to roll and knew exactly which rides to go on. Yes - Buy your tickets on line Free parking Have your hand stamped and exit and enter freely Free showers with liquid soap (only 3 stalls in the women's) Free Bathrooms Free plastic bags to bring your wet suits back home in Small Lockers on site - $10 rental at the gift shop. $5 cash back when you return the key. Lots of sun and shady places Free use of picnic tables, lounge chairs, sitting chairs, umbrella areas Coolers allowed with food, drink, bev (bring your own!) Bar with beer and frozen drinks - cash only Snack Shack - pizza, hot dogs, burgers, pretzels - decent prices ($3.50 hot dog) Dippin Dots - $4.00 for a small dish - ouch! Smoking allowed on site but is way back behind the slide so it doesn't bother the eaters or kids. No - No glass No pets No full restaurant No real healthy food - salad for $6.00 didn't look so great No private changing rooms - open space with benches and hooks but nothing private other than the toilets. No towels service - bring your own towels from home or buy in the gift shop. No rides when there is thunder and lightning. Everyone has to pile into the snack buildings until the storm is over - Cramped! Things to bring: Towels Sunscreen Food & Drinks Opens at 10:00 am but some rides don't open until 10:30 - Closes at 6:00 pm but check the schedule since this is seasonal. Rides: Shipwreck Island is good for all ages. There are 4 colored slides The purple are mild for the younger kids = easy slides The blue and yellow are mild The red is fast and has a LOT of twists and was a bit more severe than the Downpour because of all the spirals. There is a ship at the top that fills and completely dumps on everyone - Awesome! The Plunge is basically a full drop and you can go airborne at the top if you catch the wind just right. If you want speed this is it. For something much more mild. Go on the lazy river, Johah's Escape. I actually saw someone reading a book while floating around it. The Eye of the Storm gives you a quick fast rush before it spits you out like a marble or penny in those donation machines. The drop into the pool at the bottom is a rush. If you are alert you can catch and turn yourself to go feet first. I dropped head first so it took me a bit to figure out which end was up to swim over to the stairs. It's deep to catch the really tall people dropping in. Fairly mild rides are the ones with the rafts/tubes: Goes forward and back and the kids called it the skate board. The Harpoon Express is for two or three riders and is fun and mild if you have a light load. I saw lots of parents bring their young kids on in the front and it was fine. With two full adults (if you consider me a full adult) we tipped the tube over at the bottom in the pool and it was fun. Beluga Boggin is a single one tube ride. The lighter you are the slower and more mild it goes. The 5 year old went down and just tooled along. The life guard at the top whistles downs to the life guard at the bottom signaling a little rider so they can help. You can swim in the Willie's Wild Wave pool or hang out in a tube. There are full waves for 15 mins then a break for 15 mins. The guards keep you off the wall so no one gets hurt. Whale Harbor for the tots and younger kids has lots of fun toys to play with. There are shallow areas but there are some deeper parts for the real little ones. There are life guards all over and they are all very alert and on top of things watching and cautioning activity all through the park. They are mostly young students but they are all on top of their game and are very pleasant and helpful. It wasn't too crowded with not many long lines and when there are it goes pretty fast. It is well worth the trip to drive up and spend a day or a place to stop on your vacation.

This is one of my favorite places to go in the summer especially when it is very hot out because there's just so much and I would very much recommend it if you were coming up to the valley or if your local buying a season pass is awesome because then you can go All the time. The only thing some of the employees are very rude

Pretty average water park. The slides and lazy River were pretty fun. It's always fun to visit if your in the area.

We loved the water slides, cleanliness, and friendliness of the lifeguards and staff at the waterpark. It was so quiet mid week, we were sometimes the only ones in the baby area. The hotel is clean and affordable for our family; we wanted a space for our baby to sleep while we stayed up, so the Alcove Room was amazing for this purpose! The view from our room is beautiful, and the hotel is quiet. We loved that if we didn't want to go outside into the cold, we didn't have to. Breakfast, coffee, pizza, dinner, and a bar were all a walk away from our room. Housekeeping is great. The hotel has a texting service so if your room needs attention or if you need toiletries/towels, you can text the front desk. I would definitely return midweek for the free water park admission! Hotel room needs some TLC, but it's clean and good for a casual getaway!

The staff quickly remedied the situation and we went to a new room on the second floor. Seems all the rooms have a terrace which was nice and our view was beautiful! The second room was not as updated but was clean and smelled fine. There was no loud sound issue which was nice. Occasionally heard kids running but nothing to crazy or late at night. One thing that I didn't like was the wall air conditioning units. Like the last time we were there, it turns off in the middle of the night, ugh! The sheets were kinda scratchy as well. Standard amenities: hair dryer (works well!), iron and ironing board, safe, in room Starbucks coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotions, cable, alarm radio/clock What I like about this hotel is the attached water park and the fun activities they have for the kids. Nightly marshmallow toasting (not a smore! Marshmallow only) and fun things like movie night, pool parties, arcade, and kite making activities. Plenty of parking but far away from the rooms on the left side of the hotel.

You're right in the middle of everything, yet set back from the road, which is nice. The view out the window was beautiful. We got upgraded to a room with a little extra room with 2 twin beds, which came in handy when my hubby wanted to sleep but I was still up watching TV or reading. I just went into the other room. I actually like the 'retro' feel of this place. So sick of the cookie cutter, boring, cold feel of most hotels these days. That being said, I hope they put some care into this hotel. The sink and tub nozzles were near impossible to pull out! It was so hard to pull them out that anyone with arthritis would never be able to operate the bathroom sink and tub. The toilet was funky in that you had to hold the latch down for about 30 seconds to get it to flush. Very annoying. The indoor pool was pretty gross. There was like a black mold around the edges and you could see the dirt on the bottom .. my husband was excited to swim in the pool, but looked at it and said 'nope'!! Yeah, the parking lot is a bit far, and you have to unload and walk up stairs with all your stuff if you're on the 2nd floor, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The breakfast was good. And the price was reasonable. If you don't want to spend $350 a night for a hotel in N. Conway during ski season, this place is doable. We paid about $150 a night. You can get nit picky about this place... hopefully, the owners will fix some of the problems. Hubby wasn't a fan, but I'd stay here again.
