    Side by side tour

Amazing zip line experience. Staff was friendly, small group size kept the experience personal, always felt safe & secure. We also did the side by side tour which the boys liked (Chad was an excellent guide) but I'd rather do the zip line any day.

Today we went on an off-road experience with Dan. He made the experience even better than what it already was. Incredible views and an off road tour that was filled with laughs and fun!!!

Had an excellent time. Extreme sky zip line. The staff was friendly and I felt safe throughout the 5 zipline course. Safety was #1. Beautiful views. Walking up the 30 foot latter was a bit scary, haha. We left our (brand new iPhone) phones and wallet in the car, too risky carrying your valuables. Some brought their phones and didn't lose anything so it's not impossible. Proceed with caution. Bathrooms were clean and there are none on the mountain,so don't forget to visit before the trip.

Freaking awesome!! Did the timberline zip lining tour for $120 per person. 1.5 hours 5 zip lines. Highly recommend it!!

I went with the biggest fear of heights, I booked the highest and fastest package. What an experience, the crew were awesome and enthusiastic. Thank you Alpine for the great time,if this old goat can do it anyone can.

My partner and I booked an off roading adventure here for 10/26 in search of a scenic view of the mountains (I know, so hard to find). Anyway. Our driver was Blyde (sp?) a 22 year old super friendly and knowledgeable dude. He made the group loosen up, laugh and get to know one another. We had the most majestic views of the mountain. I would recommend this to any friend I know visiting NH. My mother recommended we go here as she does their zip line trails with her friends when she travels. Also, worth mentioning was one last thing we witnessed while waiting to load onto the truck. There was a younger girl doing the courses above us and I saw 3 different workers encourage her and treat her with respect while teaching her 'the ropes' Awesome experience.

This tour was a joke...sorry guys!…read more The guys were nice but it cost us $95 (and another $95 for my son and his gf) and they literally went up and down the sameeee couple roads all night. There was a stop at a convenience store in the middle. Convenience store was really nice (probably the highlight of the trip honestly) but they kept telling us over and over to thank the convenience store for staying open for us. Of course we were thankful but come on, they made out too since most of us bought something there and that's where the bus got its gas. Not only that, but if there wasn't a stop mid-way, we never would have took the tour. So why don't YOU thank the convenience store for staying open for YOUR tour? Also, maybe tell everyone once, not over and over like we are children??? We never saw any moose and although they state they have a 90% success rate (highly doubt that) and there's a chance you won't see any, in my opinion, they (as a business) should have offered us something. It didn't have to be money. It could have been a 50% off ticket for another tour or anything really. Think of it this way, we'll never be back. We live in MA and go to the White Mountains often. Someone asks us...we say...oh no, don't do that tour. Boom...you lost even more business. Not my problem but as a business, you might want to think through your policy's. There's not a person in the world who wants to spend $95 per couple to go on a tour of the same two or three streets for 3 1/2 hours and see nothing! The kicker was at the end when they had the gall to ask for a tip and put a flashing red sign that says something like, no tip is too big. Are you even kidding me???? Nice guys but maybe should think about their business model. Very important to know, you are NOT guaranteed to even be able to sit with your person or people you go with. Ridiculous! Also, supposedly doing this for years (I forget the exact amount but 30 plus comes to mind), and you don't know when the moose will come out (type of conditions) or do a little drive by before the tour? If we saw a moose, I'd feel the same way but at least I'd feel like I got something for my money. Meh...wasn't impressed. Don't waste your money and just go do the drive yourself. There's lots of maps on where to see moose in the area. We would have done this as well but thought we'd have better luck with the so called "experts"

The tour was ok but the business is a crap show…read more I purchased tickets for me and my two kids. We arrived on time and were given a card indicating when we would board. Our card, #11, would board last. I was told there were no assurances I would be able to sit with my kids as we would get whatever is left. As we boarded the bus, we walked down the aisle, looking for available seats...there were two seats left toward the back where my kids sat together but that was it. All seats were taken. The owner apologized and said that two people must have boarded without tickets. He then asked me to come back tomorrow rather than try and find out who did not have tickets to board the bus. I told him we had planned our entire day around this trip and I would not be able to return tomorrow. He then shrugged the shoulders like we were out of luck...not his problem. There was an elderly couple that saw this transpire and offered to give up there two seats and come back the next day so that I could ride with my kids on the tour. As much as I didn't want to pass on my problems to them, I graciously accepted their offer. I think it's disgusting that the owner of the company would rather allow two people with no tickets on board and screw up an entire day for paying customers than to take the time to find out who was on the bus that didn't have tickets. I don't understand why they just don't check tickets as people board. The way they line everyone up to enter the bus, anyone can jump in line and no one would know. This experience ruined the night for me. Yes, we saw a couple of moose roadside on the three hour tour but the way they run their company, I would find another tour that would make a point to allow you to sit with your children and your tickets that you paid for is actually yours for the night not some freeloader who is rewarded and gets away with taking your seat.

I had heard there were gorges & caves to explore different from other trails nearby along with beautiful pines and waterfalls. It exceeded all my expectations! It says this is a 1 mile loop hike but be prepared- I walk a 5k daily & this trail kicked my butt in a good way. It was moderately challenging- I went in the rain so it was a bit cooler too. The best advice I could offer is to take a backpack with snacks, another jacket just in case (although i layered up), pack rain pants to help keep me warm in the rain, and shoes with good traction. And plenty of water. Beanies may also be a good option to keep your head warm from the cold. And a portable battery. Also, if you haven't traveled with a car like me..then the Shuttle Connection is a life saver to travel in town. Way cheaper than Uber and fairly quick to transport you wherever you want to go. Also for travelers go back and forth to other states travel by bus is the perfect and most affordable way to travel. Everything is well labeled and easy to follow. They do say and I can attest- travelers who have difficulty walking or have walkers etc..this may not be an ideal trail. Also, for younger children this may not be an kdela hike because of how extensive the elevation is. You are climbing a mountain and waterfall elevation. Make sure to look up details on their trail before you plan a trip. But well worth the hike :)

The boardwalk is not only a great help to get through the gorge, its craftsmanship is amazing. The hand railings are rounded and smooth, and we were even able to chat with one of the carpenters on our visit as he installed a new section of boardwalk. The caves themselves are not really caves in the traditional sense, rather the negative space between boulders and the earth & other boulders. That didn't detract from their awesomeness as it's amazing to think that these giant boulders were moved by ice. We spent about 2 hours going through the caves and doing the extra loop through the suspension bridge. My boys tried a few caves more than once and even made it through the Lemon Squeeze! The main building looks newer, is very clean and comfortable. There isn't somewhere to sit in the shade, but we weren't there long enough to really miss that's however, if you brought a lunch or had someone in your party who needed to wait this one out, there are some picnic tables surrounding the main building.

Enter the Flume Gorge. The whole trail is well-marked and was roughly two miles of walking for us, with some occasional hills and terrain. All along the way, there was plenty of nature to appreciate, with the waterfalls being the clear highlight of the show. My inner nerd loved the various signs and placards throughout the course that either gave travelers information about the flora, fauna, or geological history of different spots. I especially appreciate that there are limited numbers of tickets that are sold within time slots. I presume that's to keep the trail from getting too loud or crowded. My husband and I caved into the strong recommendations to purchase tickets online (the prevailing reason seems to be avoiding the peril of 'sold out tickets', but when we bought ours the night before our visit, there were still more than enough spots available). There are bathrooms available at the start of the hike (and technically also at the end, since the trail is circular). The visitor center/store is connected to the restrooms, though it's implicitly recommended to enter at the end of your hike since there's no reentering the trail once you come into the store. For those famished at the end of their visit, there's also a small food court selling fast food items and a modestly sized seating area. We paid $37 for two advance tickets (which includes a dollar 'print at home' surcharge, even if there's a scannable barcode included in the confirmation email that prevents needing to print anything). Parking was fine in the private lot and plentiful, especially during the early morning slot we took. Overall, this is a nice and easy hike for those who want to connect with nature on a non-intense hike.

A good portion of the house is closed off and used as a private residence; it was explained to us that they use it for a poets-in-residency program, meaning that they select a poet to live in the house each summer as a way to give them space and time to concentrate on their work. The part of the house that is open to the public is filled with artifacts including photos, newspaper clippings, old samples of Frost's writing and even original furniture.
