My husband purchased the Living Social deal as a Christmas Present to me. We were able to get a date in March. I hadn't been snowmobiling in too long and was very excited to go. You check in at their location in Lincoln. Both ladies were very friendly and it was quick to complete the paperwork. They explained the waiver thoroughly and offered insurance to protect us in case of an accident (we decided it was a good idea). We were offered the use of the bathroom as there were no facilities at the actual location (very good to know!) and sent to the location (one exit down). We had a tiny bit of trouble finding the location, but we don't blame the directions we were given. I think we were too excited to listen carefully. We called from the road and they got us to the gate. I had brought my own gear as I have snowmobiled before and have my own helmet. The rentals were typical rentals...I would suggest a bandanna or a thin hat to wear underneath, but that is just me. They were in good shape and looked clean. The sleds we were given were very nice. They were in good shape and started right up. They were nice Polaris 500-550s, which I felt was a perfect size. The suspension and clutch setups were perfect for the sort of riding we were doing. Our guide Travis was nice. He gave the other couple a brief overview of how to operate the sled. My husband and I had ridden before multiple times. I would suggest that the guides spend a little more time going over how to ride for first timers and make sure they are fully set before taking off. Luckily the other couple picked it up fast and did well. Our guide was awesome about making sure everyone was ok, he was always looking back to check. He would point out "hazards" on the trail, like particularly rough sections. It was nice we got to stop for photo ops as well. Obviously as i have ridden before I would have liked to go faster, but it was definitely a reasonable speed to promote safety without being boring. We will definitely pick Outback Kayak to rent snowmobiles again (the owner met us at the end of our ride and said if we were to come back, there is another set of trails we can go on so its not the same ride!). We want to check out the kayak and ATV adventures again. I'd suggest the 2 hour ride as you spend the first hour getting comfortable with the machine.

Had a blast on the ATV's... I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun time!

Just went on a trip here and we really enjoyed the kayaking! Peter was a great guide and we had a nice time! Kelly cooked at the barbeque and was very accomodating!

After reading all the negative reviews I was weary to book this company with my two boys. I called for pricing and hours and spoke with Kelly. She was friendly, warm and was completely patient with me as I asked 100 questions. We arrived in Lincoln later than expected and I called Kelly to set up a time to ride the ATV's . We already had tickets to another attraction the next day and she was happy to accommodate our available time. We met Madison at the store, where we were greeted by name as she efficiently provided me with our paperwork. Once at the ATV's, Madison thoroughly went through the mechanics, rules and safety precautions of the ATV's. Vincent was our guide, he was wonderful! He was friendly, relaxed and personable. The ATV's were in great condition. The trails were a variety of wooded trails, a few straight aways where you could gain some speed, mud ditches (yes we were dirty!) and some sandy dunes near the lake. Half way through our ride we stopped and chatted. Vincent was interested in our vacation and was happy to take pictures for us. Although our allowed time was an hour, we by far exceeded our time limit! Our ATV ride was the highlight of our busy and fun filled vacation. We can't wait to come back in the winter to ride snowmobiles! *Note, this is the only company that will allow ATV "drivers" without a license. My boys are 12 and 15. It provided them a completely different experience rather than just being a "passenger". Our experience was fantastic!!! Highly recommend!

We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. After we finished we were escorted back to the truck and took the van to the main facility which was a mild ride compared to on the way. We dropped off our equipments and left the facility. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and had a great time. Everyone was nice and accommodating made us feel safe. It was also nice that we were only ones there because we got a private session and full attention during the experience. Definitely would recommend for those that enjoy or beginner who would like to try zip lining. My partner who can be la little anxious about these experience enjoyed it and was perfectly fine throughout the experience. The experience was a bit on pricier side but I think it was worth it.

The car ride is very bumpy, and it for the faint of heart. If you have back problems, this is not the car ride for you~ apparently during the summer, guests have to hike up rather than use the trucks which seems like a moderate level walk in my opinion. We were the only guest since it was spring off season~ plenty of mud but it was great! We prepped with our hiking boots, layers, and hats are a must. Gloves helped our hands stay warm. The staff seem close and look like they enjoy what they do~ really great experience filled with views and good happy adrenaline screams!

    * Review from August 2025 *…read more My husband and I had a great time on this tour! I thought our guides were very friendly and informative. Yes, you do travel the same roads all night but there's very good reason for that and the guides explained it to us. Maybe I'd feel differently about that if our tour hadn't been successful? However, I know they can't guarantee sightings and the reasoning for traveling the same areas made sense to me. We were able to see twins!! It was so cool, especially as a couple from the far south being tourists in the northern US for the first time! I also didn't feel like there was much else to do in the area at this time of night so you might as well go moose tracking! Make sure that you're there at the time they tell you to be for check in. At check in, you receive a card and that determines the order in which you board the bus. So, if you care about choosing your seat, you'll want to be there on time for a good boarding spot.

This tour was a joke...sorry guys!…read more The guys were nice but it cost us $95 (and another $95 for my son and his gf) and they literally went up and down the sameeee couple roads all night. There was a stop at a convenience store in the middle. Convenience store was really nice (probably the highlight of the trip honestly) but they kept telling us over and over to thank the convenience store for staying open for us. Of course we were thankful but come on, they made out too since most of us bought something there and that's where the bus got its gas. Not only that, but if there wasn't a stop mid-way, we never would have took the tour. So why don't YOU thank the convenience store for staying open for YOUR tour? Also, maybe tell everyone once, not over and over like we are children??? We never saw any moose and although they state they have a 90% success rate (highly doubt that) and there's a chance you won't see any, in my opinion, they (as a business) should have offered us something. It didn't have to be money. It could have been a 50% off ticket for another tour or anything really. Think of it this way, we'll never be back. We live in MA and go to the White Mountains often. Someone asks us...we say...oh no, don't do that tour. Boom...you lost even more business. Not my problem but as a business, you might want to think through your policy's. There's not a person in the world who wants to spend $95 per couple to go on a tour of the same two or three streets for 3 1/2 hours and see nothing! The kicker was at the end when they had the gall to ask for a tip and put a flashing red sign that says something like, no tip is too big. Are you even kidding me???? Nice guys but maybe should think about their business model. Very important to know, you are NOT guaranteed to even be able to sit with your person or people you go with. Ridiculous! Also, supposedly doing this for years (I forget the exact amount but 30 plus comes to mind), and you don't know when the moose will come out (type of conditions) or do a little drive by before the tour? If we saw a moose, I'd feel the same way but at least I'd feel like I got something for my money. Meh...wasn't impressed. Don't waste your money and just go do the drive yourself. There's lots of maps on where to see moose in the area. We would have done this as well but thought we'd have better luck with the so called "experts"

I had heard there were gorges & caves to explore different from other trails nearby along with beautiful pines and waterfalls. It exceeded all my expectations! It says this is a 1 mile loop hike but be prepared- I walk a 5k daily & this trail kicked my butt in a good way. It was moderately challenging- I went in the rain so it was a bit cooler too. The best advice I could offer is to take a backpack with snacks, another jacket just in case (although i layered up), pack rain pants to help keep me warm in the rain, and shoes with good traction. And plenty of water. Beanies may also be a good option to keep your head warm from the cold. And a portable battery. Also, if you haven't traveled with a car like me..then the Shuttle Connection is a life saver to travel in town. Way cheaper than Uber and fairly quick to transport you wherever you want to go. Also for travelers go back and forth to other states travel by bus is the perfect and most affordable way to travel. This trail offered amazing views, great photo ops, and plenty of additional trails to explore. They also make sure to keep everything maintained and safe for hikers exploring. Everything is well labeled and easy to follow. They do say and I can attest- travelers who have difficulty walking or have walkers etc..this may not be an ideal trail. Also, for younger children this may not be an kdela hike because of how extensive the elevation is. You are climbing a mountain and waterfall elevation. Make sure to look up details on their trail before you plan a trip. But well worth the hike :)

The property is not very big, but nonetheless it is quaint and charming. A beautiful mid 19th century farmhouse situated on a quiet, rural dirt road with woods behind the house and breathtaking mountain views from the front porch. You can definitely understand why Frost loved spending his summers here with his family. A good portion of the house is closed off and used as a private residence; it was explained to us that they use it for a poets-in-residency program, meaning that they select a poet to live in the house each summer as a way to give them space and time to concentrate on their work. The part of the house that is open to the public is filled with artifacts including photos, newspaper clippings, old samples of Frost's writing and even original furniture. There's also a barn on the property where they hold a variety of workshops for poetry and the arts, and have poetry collections from some of the poets they've hosted for sale. There is also a short trail in the woods behind the house featuring signs reading some of Frost's works. There is a small, reasonable admission fee.
