Someone told us about this gem but we didn't realize how great it would be. The slope has three main trails, one rope tow and one 2-person chairlift. It is perfect for novice skiers. My kids absolutely loved it. By the end of the week they were going up the chairlift own their own. It really boosted their confidence and it only costs $12 a day. They also have night skiing which the kids thought was super cool.

Me, Ben, James & Molly all played here on a Sunday morning. Just on the foothills of the White Mountains so you get the tee box elevation on various holes. Some very beautiful views of the White Mountains from elevated tee boxes and a few elevated greens. Wide open fairways and greens that were all in great shape. The favorite was #10, Par 3 with elevated tee box & beautiful views. Don't be long or you'll be down the hill & pitching up a steep grade. All the tee boxes were in great repair and well marked. There is a restaurant attached with a nice view from the outside patio tables. You can view the short Par 3 10th hole from the patio which is entertaining. All the Staff were great and it all combined for a fantastic experience.

The only downside to the cabin was that it was really cold in the living room area. We could feel the chilly air coming through the windows and ice was forming on the windows within the cabin. We bundled up and made the best of the cabin at night. But the freezing weather didn't damper our experience, we're definitely recommending the cabins to our friends and will be back in the summer! Each little cottage has its own character, and each is cleaned impeccably. You'll have all the things you need to have a wonderful time, don't worry because they've remembered every detail! It's quiet, and charming here, in the summer there is even a pool to take dip in. They provide firewood to have a warm, cozy fireplace. I promise if you stay here, you will be very happy you did. In fact, were it not for the presence of some "watch out for black bears!" signage and the large host family camping down by the entrance you would pretty much just be camping on the side of the road in the woods. Oh, and there is a fire pit on your site, so that's one thing. The nicest thing about this campground is the presence of the river running directly behind the sites. It was very nice to climb down a short hill and be overwhelmed by the beauty of NH teeming with frogs, fish, and dragonflies. Another nice aspect is that it is dog-friendly and nearly all the campers present at the time I visited were taking advantage of this. In general I wouldn't recommend this location though unless other, better campgrounds are sold out. The sites aren't far enough apart for a really rustic feeling, but you don't get the comfort or friendliness of more developed campgrounds. There are other options in the area and if I find myself in the White Mountains again soon I plan to look elsewhere.

Late in the early afternoon, a man is very meager clothes (unclear if he was homeless or the host) came by and told us we had to move our tent, out of the clearing with pine needles and into the center which is dirt and gravel. He did not identify himself as someone w the campsite but was aggressive and angry. We moved it, but apparently not enough. The next day he came by and dropped off the rules, then came by at 830 at night in a pickup truck w the brights on demanding to know whether we would move our tent, claiming 'they will fine you.' Hostile, aggressive, unprofessional. I was also yelled at by someone at the host facility to make sure I broke up my wood, and had police patrol cars driving by our campsite looking in while we are cooking breakfast. What a despicable way to run a camping facility. Everyone is there to relax and not get bothered by random people that can't properly identify themselves. Also, the campsite is directly next to a T-intersection of main roads, so you are hearing loud car vehicles throughout the stay. We will not return under any circumstance, and suggest you avoid as well.

That said, this stay went far beyond "old." Both toilets in our room were leaking, the bathtub was patched with black tape, and there was no hot water the following morning. These are basic maintenance and comfort issues that shouldn't happen at any price point. In addition, we rented a room for our hockey team dinner. I was quoted $150, but was instead charged $600. There was no staff, no food. Just an empty room with broken windows. Despite reaching out, the hotel has refused to refund the overcharge or resolve the issue. Between the condition of the rooms and the unresolved billing problem, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.
