We stayed in the motel portion of the hotel and not one of the cottages. The room itself consisted of a queen sized bed with a chair, refrigerator and flat screen TV. It's heat came from a wall unit which had the controls on the wall. Overall I thought that the bed was comfortable although I can't say that I slept too well. That was due to the person in the room next to us who was constantly on the phone including outside the doors at 7 AM and then again from 11:45 until 2 AM. So from that you can probably guess that the walls here were thin and i could hear him both talking and walking around opening doors and whatnot. Anyways, the best part about staying here was the Saturday night bonfire that they do. From 7 PM - 11 PM on Saturdays only the owner of the inn makes a nice bonfire which all of the guests are invited to. It was a relaxing evening complete with s'mores and music and was a nice way to meet some of the other guests. The bottom line for me is that I would probably stay here again in the future. Granted I would pay the extra money for my own cottage but I did think the owner was nice and both my wife and I loved the bonfire.

Considering the service provided for a fee, is the ability to sleep over, you would think a bit more attention would be paid to sleep comfort. The owners are nice, and comparatively young. The main part of the house is very small but nice with little stocking of the beverage "amenities". First impression of the room was disappointing for several reasons but the main first impression was that it was not cleaned well nor do the owners care if it's cleaned well. The bathroom was the first real impression where a filthy shower mat hung on the towel rack, the hand towel had crust on it and a dried, unwashed blood stain on the comforter. iTrip, who is "managing" this place was very prompt about returning my emails UNTIL I responded to THEIR email asking about my stay. Crickets. I'll include photos. There are plenty of other gorgeous places to stay in Lincoln....don't give your money to Red Sleigh Inn.

Please read about the changes…read more We booked the Red Sleigh Inn seven months ago because we were planning a trip to the area and we love B&Bs and have stayed at many. What attracted us to this facility was its outstanding reputation. However, exactly one week (7/11/22) before we were supposed to arrive, we received an email that Red Sleigh was under new ownership and there were going to be changes. We could not cancel because it was less than 30 days. Here are the changes: 1. Nobody would be at the facility to greet you. Nope, no personal friendly greeting to welcome you like we were used to in the past. They sent you a passcode for the front door and your room. You have to call a property managing company if there is an issue. 2. You receive ONE set of towels per person for stay. We stayed three days and originally only got one washcloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel per person, until we complained and we each got a second set. 3. NO BREAKFAST ANYMORE!!! I guess they left off one B in B&B. They did give us a voucher of $20 a day for the Moon Cafe to get a small breakfast. I do not know if this service is going to continue. We got it because we booked before the change. The room was clean. There was a coffee station and candy station which were kept full by attendants who showed up daily to clean vacated rooms. If you like the AirBnB experience while sharing the facility with other couples, then by all means enjoy. We prefer the true B&B experience with the home cooked breakfast and somebody there to greet you.

There was a beautiful fireplace in the middle of the house with gentle music playing in the background. The room was cozy and clean. The owners, Troy and Christina, were very friendly and provided clear communication prior to check-in. I was lucky to meet them on arrival as I got there a few minutes early before check-in. Otherwise, you will be provided with instructions on how to find your rooms in their email communication and the instructions on the chalkboard in the kitchen upon arrival. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, along with the common areas of the home. I highly recommend booking room 5 if it's available as it has a private bathroom, personal entrance from the deck and is located on the main floor. It's near the kitchen and faces the parking area, which you may hear people as they come in when they're arriving for the night (it didn't bother me). Breakfast is lovely and you'll have an opportunity to chat with Christina and Troy as they're very hospitable and down-to-earth. The location is safe, quiet and easily accessible to the highway and a short drive to many hiking trails. You will have to drive around though to get to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking to be in the White Mountains area. Tip: Book room 5. Start in the kitchen and refer to the chalkboard for your room when checking-in.

The owners/mgmt was very helpful and quickly responded when I had a concern. The pool and hot tub looked inviting. The only downside was the proximity to the roads. It was very busy and very noisy. Weirs Beach and the boardwalk was charming. if you don't like LOUD motorcycles, do stay away from the area. It will be the 100th anniversary of "Bike Week" and is expected to be very crowded.

She thought of every amenity possible to make this a luxurious experience. The house was beautifully decorated with many fine antiques...it was very cozy and extremely comfortable. We had a large suite in the 3 rd floor ( of course no elevator, but what would be the charm in that?). We had a peek a boo view of the lake across the street. The large soaking tub was a welcome relief for this weary traveler and she even provided bath salts and bubble bath. I felt like I was in heaven! I would definitely make this a get away if we didn't live 3000 miles away. Small caution on our room. My husband is 6'3" and he conked his head in the declining ceiling more than once (I think it is the first time I heard him cuss in 46 years....but he is over it and wants to book the same room next time....consider yourself very lucky if you are able to land a reservation
