Great campsite for climbers. It's pretty close to the crags. We stayed at campsite ABC and shared the site with other climbers, paying $10 per person per night. It's a pretty clean, family friendly campground. There is an area with swings, volleyball court, and a communal fire pit. Each campsite has their own picnic table and fire pit too. It's also right by the river. Our campsite was a close walk to the bathrooms. As mentioned by another Yelper, there is a rotten egg smell in the bathroom. I just didn't realize it is from the water. Even though the campground was pretty packed this past July 4th weekend, I never had an issue waiting for a bathroom or shower stall. Do note that if you are going to shower around 8pm, the water will be cold! Be careful and make sure you do not drive over 5mph. We got yelled at for going too fast. You have to watch out for people walking around. I do not think they implement quiet hours because you can still hear folks talking and playing music in the wee morning hours.

I like Baker River. Nice and quiet for the most part. Some of the sites are not as private as one would like but still easy to separate yourself. We had three tents and three cars with our group last time and just parked the cars to create our privacy. There are sites with water and electric. Then there are primitive sites also. The sites near the bathroom tend to be a little sandier. Bathrooms are good with two showers, three toilets, and two sinks in each. Hot water. Dish sink outside the bathroom. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Off the main road so fairly quiet with regards to traffic. Cash only. There is a climbers rate and a communal climbers site.

Campground is gated and they give you a pass to get in. Off the main road so you may hear traffic during the day but it's super quiet at night. Close by to grocery store. The beach access was the highlight. The private access we had was amazing. The sand felt like it was imported from FL. We brought a canoe for the lazy river. They have horseshoes and a large bin full of play toys, bats, frisbee etc to use. Our site was spacious and private. Where we stayed a tree dropped purple berries and occasionally an acorn so you may want to expect acorns possibly hitting your car. Overall, our favorite campground!

I had the owners unplug my extension cords (on an electric site that I PAID for. I had my tent rummaged through, water dumped on my campfire, and was treated differently than the owners preferred guests. The bathrooms aren't well kept, the showers are metered and not well kept either. It smells like mold in some areas from other campers that are run down and need to be removed. Not a horrible place to stay but not my first choice. Pricing was also changed during my stay and was way more than should have been. You could lay the same price at a different camground that has all the amenities and clean restrooms and showers.

My favorite campground in New Hampshire! This is the place to get away from RVs and trailers and…read moreloud noises. OK there are a few spots for groups and you could probably get an RV and trailer up there, but I have yet to see it. The campsites here all have the basics for tent camping: picnic table, fire pit/grill, peace and quiet. Most of the sites are spaced far apart so that you don't turn your head and make eye contact with a neighbor. Some of them are almost completely isolated, and a few have lean-tos (you're near the Appalachian Trail after all). The fire pits are kind of annoying though, they're basically three-sided iron boxes with sliding grates on top. You'll stay warm and can easily cook on them, but not everyone is going to have a great view of the fire. There is garbage on site, pit toilets, potable water, and lots of hiking nearby. In fact, the hiking is probably one of the biggest draws. You could get a spot here and then hike to one of the other campgrounds in the national forest (those are obviously hike-in only), or just spend a few hours in the forest. We saw lots of moose droppings, but no moose. Maybe your luck will be better than mine. The river is nearby and there are several parks and access points to get to it. I saw quite a few people fly fishing last time I was here. You've got to drive to Maine to get here, and then head about 5 miles along a dirt road to cross back into NH. Stock up in nearby Gorham and bring plenty of firewood. You'll want to stay at least two nights, and you'll definitely want to come back.

I can't state strongly enough how impressed we are with Neal and Monique. They run a fantastic park! We're planning to come back when we pick up our class A. Tons of space make it very easy to maneuver in the park and everything is spotless clean. The property is well maintained and everything you could need will be delivered to you in what seemed like mere seconds. The small park for the kids was very clean as were the swimming pool and onsite facilities. Proximity to local attractions and great restaurants was also very convenient. Usually I like to offer some constructive critique for improvement, but I honestly can't think of one thing I would change or do differently. The only "problem" I have are my now high expectations of other parks. I feel like we need to make another trip somewhere else to see what the downsides to lesser parks look like! Thanks again Neal and Monique for a great first experience! Also, your breakfast recommendation at the common cafe was a winner! Thanks!

The owners, Neal and Monique, are busy working on it all the time and are sooo great. Just over their little hill is the river where people go tent and pop-up camping and float down the river. Sites are EXTREMELY spacious and perfectly level. Everything is well cared for and the little shop is well stocked. The first day we were here, the lady who was in the office bought my daughter some candy to help her feel as welcome as we did. It seems like a bit of a hidden gem too, because although the weekends seem to fill up pretty well-during the week it isn't busy at all, which is kinda fun for full-timers to have the pool and park to ourselves a bit. :)

The bathrooms are old and dirty, with walls and doors that clearly need to be scrubbed of built-up grime and feces. The showers are quarter-operated, but unreliable and some without temperature control. The amenities listed online are also misleading. The "playground" is really just a small baby jungle gym, and the area that should be a playground is a complete waste of space. Across the street, they have a so-called swimming beach but it is nothing more than a mosquito-filled pond with a sunken paddle boat. The train is nice and freshly painted, but the swing set is in terrible shape and really needs to be removed before someone gets hurt. The water wheel advertised on the website doesn't work and doesn't look like it has in quite some time. On top of that, there's no WiFi service. With some updates and proper upkeep, this place could be wonderful--but as it stands, it's disappointing compared to what's advertised.

The beautiful Pemigewasset river. it's no saco river by it's a close 2nd. Tubing at the campground down the beau river is hassle free. Depends on the amou of rain and how high the river is. you could float from 15-45 minutes and your still in the campground! if you want a longer trip you can go up river and get out at the campground. Or get in at the campground and get out at the cover bridge by farm to table. The kids will love the pool! as well as all the FREE fun activities. That a lot of other campgrounds charge for! Star gazing with Pedro or on your own is absolutely breathtaking. Pedro is a great guide to the stars and has a fun lesson to teach! The view is so panoramic when you lay under the stars it feels as though you are in the center of the earth and can see from side to side! the view of our galaxy's own milky way! The weekly games, crafts, tie die, movies, flash light candy hunt, candy bar bingo, And the all famous WAGON RIDE! are some of the things you don't want to miss! i just named a few! True camping and a real family friendly campground is not for everyone! That's ok! Everyone has different needs. My kids play outside all summer like it's the 80s dirty and riding bikes! When you arrive it's time to slow down roll down your windows and pay attention as you drive around natures speed bumps!

Everything is an up charge. There is no water view in sight despite every photo of the cabins showing water. Absolutely NOT worth $1,044 for 2 nights. We camp 15-20 times a year (both tent and cabin) and love the outdoors, but that isn't at all what this is. So sad to have been deceived by their posts. I hope you can save yourself the disappointment. Update- Well over a year after my initial post, Boris, the business owner, finally responded. It is disappointing that after such a long delay, the choice was made to imply I simply didn't "thoroughly review" their photos. Claiming "transparency" while marketing every single cabin with a water view--when in reality, my $1,044 stay consisted of a small cabin on wheels sandwiched between parked cars with zero privacy--is the definition of misleading. Labeling a cramped, overcrowded layout as "community-focused" doesn't change the fact that the actual experience does not align with the curated, secluded aesthetic advertised. My issue isn't a misunderstanding of "glamping"; it's a rejection of being overcharged for a misrepresented experience. Instead of discrediting guests who have spent significant money at your business, I hope you use this feedback to provide more honest marketing. I'll continue to support reputable spots that value transparency over defensive excuses.
