We fell in love with this campground 2 seasons ago, before their new amazing pool was even working. And as luck would have it, we stuck it out with them and we wound up being there in September when the pool was fixed AND open! Our kids had so much fun in the heated pool. We love their special tractor ride. This year it became my new favorite thing here. Every year we find something new that makes Branch Brook our favorite.

Branch brook campground is a family friendly place with so much to do, if you love camping. yes, it's rustic. there are pot holes or nature's speed bumps. There are children at play. if you go slow they won't bother you. They do fill them in, but they just come back. Especially with all the rain this summer! 2023. it's over 155 acres of absolutely beautiful biking/hiking trails! i do prefer biking. All along the river and all through the forest. The beautiful Pemigewasset river. it's no saco river by it's a close 2nd. Tubing at the campground down the beau river is hassle free. Depends on the amou of rain and how high the river is. you could float from 15-45 minutes and your still in the campground! if you want a longer trip you can go up river and get out at the campground. Or get in at the campground and get out at the cover bridge by farm to table. The kids will love the pool! as well as all the FREE fun activities. That a lot of other campgrounds charge for! Star gazing with Pedro or on your own is absolutely breathtaking. Pedro is a great guide to the stars and has a fun lesson to teach! The view is so panoramic when you lay under the stars it feels as though you are in the center of the earth and can see from side to side! the view of our galaxy's own milky way! The weekly games, crafts, tie die, movies, flash light candy hunt, candy bar bingo, And the all famous WAGON RIDE! are some of the things you don't want to miss! i just named a few! They are all FREE. Yes, it's rustic! To me that's camping. You want paved roads and an arcade go to yogi bear campground or some other resort style campground. Dont worry you will still have fun! True camping and a real family friendly campground is not for everyone! That's ok! Everyone has different needs. My kids play outside all summer like it's the 80s dirty and riding bikes! When you arrive it's time to slow down roll down your windows and pay attention as you drive around natures speed bumps!

Personally, we have found the owners pretty nice but firm in his rules ie 10pm quiet time. BUT this is why there are rules so ppl know what to expect and should not be surprised when they are enforced. Ok off stool and my comments as a reviewer not relative. Super nice bathrooms and showers. FREE not coin-operated Reasonable rental rates and shuttles. On time! Store has items usually needed. DRY wood. Can get a large bun delivered which saves a lot of walking down and carrying bundles back.. Tent sites on river with water and electricity. GREAT. Free entertainment ..watching crazy bridge jumpers. Right off Rt 93 so great access . Not too far from Lincoln NH ..a cool town. So I give this campground lots of positives. Behave as you should and be respectful of others ...no problems!

The site map roads do not match up to the actual roads and the campground is much smaller than depicted. We got lost. Need road signs. Also the road to the trash on the map has a gate at the end. To reach the trash, you need to drive past the office towards the park entrance to reach it. Would not recommend for large rigs due to the many trees. The roads are for one vehicle only and there are no oneways. Haven't used any facilities.

I am sure kids could easily spend a few hours playing at the campground. The main office offered hot food and fire woods during normal business hours. The campground staff came by a few times a day to check onto us. The campground location was very convenient, only about 15-20 minutes drive to Lincoln as well as the Kanc!

We stayed at campsites 18 and 19 and it was along the Baker River. They have free shower and toilet facilities, but only one shower and toilet per gender. They turn off their showers from 11pm to 7am so plan accordingly! There is also a water spout in the middle of the campground. WiFi is also available close to the check-in building. It's $10 per person, per night. Make sure to know your campsite number ahead of time. If you arrive late at night, they do not leave any notes or anything telling you where your campsite is. Also, ringing the bell does not help after hours. It's located near the side of the road so it can get annoying when cars drive past in the middle of the night. However, I don't mind staying here again. The folks here are nice. Campground is clean. It's also close to the Common Cafe and Tavern and the crags.

I can't state strongly enough how impressed we are with Neal and Monique. They run a fantastic park! We're planning to come back when we pick up our class A. Tons of space make it very easy to maneuver in the park and everything is spotless clean. The property is well maintained and everything you could need will be delivered to you in what seemed like mere seconds. The small park for the kids was very clean as were the swimming pool and onsite facilities. Proximity to local attractions and great restaurants was also very convenient. Usually I like to offer some constructive critique for improvement, but I honestly can't think of one thing I would change or do differently. The only "problem" I have are my now high expectations of other parks. I feel like we need to make another trip somewhere else to see what the downsides to lesser parks look like! Thanks again Neal and Monique for a great first experience! Also, your breakfast recommendation at the common cafe was a winner! Thanks!

The first day we were here, the lady who was in the office bought my daughter some candy to help her feel as welcome as we did. It seems like a bit of a hidden gem too, because although the weekends seem to fill up pretty well-during the week it isn't busy at all, which is kinda fun for full-timers to have the pool and park to ourselves a bit. :)

We are seasoned RV'ers and have traveled extensively visiting campgrounds all over the East Coast…read more In all the years we have been camping we have NEVER been treated so horribly. The owners are by far the nastiest people I have ever met . Our son owns a very popular business in the same town. He also lives right up the road from the campground. We were visiting for 4 days excited to spend some time with our grandkids. We were hoping to spend a couple of hours on Saturday with the kids by the pool. Something I told the owner when I called to book. He never once mentioned extra fees. He also said he would be happy to put us by the pool. It all started the first night when we had our son, daughter in law and one grandchild for dinner. They wanted to charge my daughter in law $115 to visit. I went up to the office and tried to explain that they would be there only about an hour for dinner. They said for them to visit for 4 days that was the charge. I tried to explain that they would only be having dinner that night and Friday night. The kids were in camp all day so no kids would be with us during the day. They let them in for an hour. The next morning, the husband was out by the pool, so I went over to try and talk to him. I let him know that we would probably not be there very much during the four days or it would only be for dinners. We had hoped to have the kids for a couple hours on Saturday to use the pool so I offered to pay for that. He got very defensive and told me that campers like Me didn't belong in his campground, and that he he was a small local company and they all work together in that town. I replied well, if you all work together then obviously, you don't work with certain businesses because my son owns one of the best businesses in the town. He told me if I didn't like it that he would give me my money back. I went back to the RV and spoke to my husband called my son. My son said mom just get out of there and go to my house. As I was packing up to leave, he came along with his golf cart, and his wife and I had my back to him and I turned and told him we were leaving. He had my check in his hand and gave it back to me. And told me to get out and then the wife got out and started using the F word She was so nasty that we couldn't wait to get out of there since then we've read a lot of negative reviews similar to our experience. All I can say is if you want to go camping in Thornton, New Hampshire don't go to Goose Hollow campground. If you're an outsider you will be treated like trash . We have camped many times at Branch Brook campground in Campton New Hampshire, which is right down the street. We made a big mistake choosing GOOSE HOLLOW this time. The kicker is that the pamphlet that they give you when you arrive with the map it says on the pamphlet if you have overnight guests you're allowed four adults and two children total. The extra adults would pay $10 apiece and the children would pay five dollars apiece but that was for OVERNIGHT only. Not at any time did we plan to have guests overnight. Also, we booked (and paid for) a site which would've included two adults and two children. I explained to them that we were only two adults, and if we did have the grandkids there, they would be the two children. He told me those were OLD rules. BEWARE If I could give this 0 stars I would.
