Our family had a fantastic time at Storyland yesterday! Priceless memories and loads of fun! Our three grandchildren (twins age 9, and 14 year old) all immensely loved everything (except one was anxious about the roller coaster--so each of us adults took turns sitting out a turn with her. For me, the Polar steel coaster was too small and I didn't have enough leg room so knee hit the seat in front of me, then that padded bar punched me in the gut at the end. But the wooden coaster made up for that! I had much more leg room and the bar that holds you in was much bigger and didn't punch. Whew! I will say that overall the wooden coaster was more fun, though it does jerk you around more side-to-side. (I had really been looking forward to both coasters and the water rides!) The bamboo log type flume water ride was probably my favorite. I wasn't expecting that, but could have done it twice (and I'm 64)! The gentleman working the ride graciously helped me in/out of the "log" as it is moving the whole time and your feet get wet too, so it is tricky getting out. I thanked him a lot! I appreciated that Story Land provided free cubbies at each ride so we could stow eyewear and dry clothes etc. in totes/backpacks we brought along because no way would you take those on the rides. Many people brought a wagon with them and next time, we'll do that. I took a small canvas tote with a dry change of clothes, towel, and water shoes. I bought one drink and kept the cup to refill with water. I bought our whole family lunch and it was about what we spend at a full service restaurant ($150 for 7). All in we had an amazing day and I was exhausted by the end. All three granddaughters had a blast! And that's what counts. The beautiful memories. read more

Came here yesterday with a 5, 9, 10 and 12 year old. I read the reviews after the fact and I'm glad I didn't because I might have been turned off to the experience. I don't know what everyone is complaining about - I thought it was great! The Roar-a-Saurus was a HUGE hit for the older kids, and I was glad they had it, as the 12 year old needed something a bit more thrilling. (Note: That ride was pretty intense!) The Polar Express and Bamboo Chute were big hits for everyone. Yes, sure, things are expensive - but what isn't? I've never been to an amusement park that doesn't try to money grab at every turn. $18 for a photo on a ride? That's crazy, but people paid it! And there's certainly no obligation to buy it. All the rides were open and we didn't have to wait very long. Granted, it was a Tuesday and thunderstorms were predicted for the afternoon (it only rained a bit). The water park area was fantastic and provided a nice change of pace. Others complained about the bathroom cleanliness and being outdated? No idea what they're talking about - we all thought they were adorable and clean. Perhaps we went in different ones. Get your tickets online to save a few bucks. If you're in the area with kids, it's a great way to spend a nice day! And, oh, one more thing about the TimeSaver thing that someone else complained about. From cute story book themes and being very inclusive - I was amazed by the allocated sections for nursing moms, the sensory rooms, and the large bathrooms for disabled individuals to utilize. Rides for people of all ages. You are able to bring in your own food and drink as well which is a bonus. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area! read more

We had a WONDERFUL time at Storyland. Wish we'd had time to go on more rides; I think we missed 1-2 sections of the park. Hopefully we can do Moo Lagoon and the Aquarium on some future trip. We went on the Polar Coaster, the rafting ride, the dinosaur train ride, the Bamboo Chute (log flume), the ride where you shoot the water guns, and went to the building/tent with the foam balls and the air cannons. Kids loved everything. Roller coasters and other amusement park rides are still pretty new to them, but it was a really great experience for us. The storybook theme was pretty cute. We also love dinosaurs as well, so the dinosaur themes were very fun too. But the two - storybook and dinosaurs - kind of clash. But that really doesn't matter haha. read more

I didn't have very high expectations (I was a Disney kid and no recollection of coming here as a child though I might have once). But I was pleasantly surprised at come of this. My toddler was obsessed with Moo Lagoon and had a blast there. The downside is that the chairs are so packed in; it's hard to maneuver. There's no easy way to bring strollers in either. I like that all the restrooms had a baby changing room next door. The amenity could have been better but it was air conditioned and quiet which was super helpful on a scorching hot day. Didn't love that there was smoking sections near the bathrooms. The rides weren't bad! There were some that definitely needed to be updated but some that were pretty cool still. The food was better than what I expected and the kids meal was perfect for toddlers (uncrustable, Oreo, go gurt, and apple juice in a reusable Daniel Tiger box). That had a fresh squeezed lemonade in a souvenir cup that was $11.99 but had .99 cent refills all day - that was super worth it and DELICIOUS. They had Hawaiian shaved ice which my husband adores and it was super refreshing. The restrooms & changing rooms were pretty clean, if a tad outdated. Overall, this was pretty cool to make my kid to because she had a blast and I didn't have a terrible time, either. I'd go back. read more

My husband & I have been coming to this park with our families since childhood, so we carried the tradition & have been bringing our own kids here for the last 15 years, but sadly I think this is our last year. It's obvious they're trying to cash grab at this point. Half the rides are closed with no explanation, you now have to pay extra just to park in the official lot. And the TimeSaver aka FastPass wannabe is atrocious, as I just watched my kids wait in a line for 20 minutes while TimeSaver folks kept coming & coming & getting right on. My kids, who are now teens but still look forward to coming here every year, are now ready to call it quits & don't have plans to ever come back, even if they have kids if their own. We used to love this place became it was the anti-Disney but no longer, so I guess we'll be withholding our money from this place, too. In the area for a trip with my family to visit story land and we were disappointed. Keep in mind, my two kids loved it here but my husband and I did not. The park is not maintained or kept up with, the bathrooms were gross. For a place that is supposed to be for kids and families you would think that it would be kept up and clean. The trash can were full and didn't appear to be emptied at all during the day and it looks like all the rides and building were 40 plus years old and all that is done to maintain is slap a cost of paint maybe once a year. The staff was great I do have to say always staying in character. But for what you spend I was disappointed. read more

we just went to storyland this past weekend with my 6 and 2 year olds. multiple rides were closed including the hot air balloons, the pumpkin carriage ride and the bamboo chutes (log flume.) They actually closed the bamboo chutes to open the raft ride which larger people cannot ride because of the seatbelt. The food was horrible. Waited over 15 minutes for a hot dog for my son. If you're understaffed and unable to offer the experience that people are paying for, how can you still charge top dollar? It was a ripoff and I don't know that I will ever go back. read more

We love Storyland! Check their website for ticket prices, they often have discounts! Moo Lagoon is a good idea for the bigger kids, but it is VERY busy. Lots of kids will spray you, and your young child as you walk through. The water slides for young kids are unfortunately just after the platform that gets water dumped on it by the big bucket above. Not a good spot for that feature, IMO. I know several children who refuse to go into that area because of that bucket (I work at a day care and it has come up!). The rest of the park is well maintained, it's fairly clean, and the staff is very friendly. There is something for everyone! read more

If you are looking for a laid back little amusement park for kids ages 2-8... this may rank a 4 star. Staff is friendly and if you only have really littles, it would fit the bill. But it's extremely limited on rides that would entertain those much older than age 8... as in maybe 3-4 rides max for those ages 9-12.... and basically nothing for those over 12 or the more daring of 10+... it's also very old & rundown w/the exception of the new Moo Lagoon, which is a small splash pad & little kid water slides place - again, great for those ages 2-8, maybe 10... my daughter loves anything water & is timid of any big kid rides, so she doesn't mind Storyland at age 11, but it's definitely showing a lot of wear n tear & not much for those outside of the very young... read more

A truly great family experience from start to finish. The park is clean, well-organized, and full of charm. Every corner had something sweet or exciting to discover, and the staff we interacted with were all kind and helpful. It felt like a place built for families to actually enjoy themselves together. The rides were perfect for younger kids but still fun for adults, and there were plenty of spots to rest, eat, or cool off when needed. I don't remember being disappointed at all--which says a lot these days! Everything just flowed smoothly, and the whole day felt lighthearted and easy. This place was magical as a kid and even up until a year ago. I don't know if there is new management, but the feel was way different this year. The park is looking for money at every turn. They have added a "fast pass" for $50 a person. To get a family of 5 in there, it is $250 ish. The games in the park have jumped to $6 a game (each game takes about 9 seconds) There are now photo stations are various rides looking for $18 a picture . We went to Santa's Village the day before and tickets were cheaper, under 4 is free (Storyland is under 3) The games were $2 each not $6 and there is no fast pass option. The park was much cleaner, righter and rides were freshly painted, etc. Our lunch was $20 cheaper at Santa's Village for the same lunch each day. I felt sad feeling like I am also e at Storyland because I went as a child and have been taking my kids there. Next year we will only do Santa's Village. read more

I advise if going on the weekend or during school breaks to get to Story Land when they open. Park in one of the back lots & walk through the tunnel if you can. They do check bags, so be prepared for that step. I appreciate that they care about everyone's safety. What I love is the nostalgia of the original attractions. I highly recommend going straight for the Roar-A-Saurus rollercoaster; it's a quick ride but it's sooooo fun! It's at the far back of the park. They are continuing to add more & more attractions which I didn't get to see during my visit, but they are open now. We bought our tickets online for our honeymoon in Sept. '22 for a fair price. Sounds like from other reviews it's better to get tickets online. They also apparently offer 'adults only' nights. We don't have kids but our 'inner kid' came out last time we went! read more

I'm must preface this review with full disclosure, my kids have been spoiled by the Disney experience. That being said we were excited for something different and something much closer. Sadly upon our arrival we could tell right away that it would be a bit of a let down. Thankfully the kids took to the water slide area and we made the best of that area for an hour! There was a sense of nostalgia so that made for a somewhat fun afternoon, but also clarified that there needs to be some drastic updates made to the property. We stayed right up the street at a condo for the weekend, conveniently, because after about an hour or two we experienced all we had needed. Sadly we found more excitement in the airbnb we rented for the stay! There isn't a whole lot to review here. It is with a heavy heart that I rate our experience at Storyland (October 5, 2025) with a one star. Four of the toddler/younger rides were closed. Several of the food/ice cream kiosks were also closed. If you are going to advertise that you are open, please be open and operational. The cost of the tickets are $45.99 (plus a parking fee - to rub salt in a wound) per person and I felt we did not receive the value we paid for. Both restrooms I used did not have any soap in any of the dispensers. We will not be returning in the future and I hope this review saves parents the expense of going to Storyland and most of us traveling great distances. In the future we will be going to Santa's Village. A fabulous and fun day. Lots of rides, photo ops, people are so nice and accommodating. read more

We honestly had such a nice, nostalgic, beautiful day with our toddler here yesterday! Everything is just SO cute - especially in the area for small children. It's like a story book come to life! They have the three little pigs - real pigs - each in their own little house. They have a school house with an area attatched with real sheep to depict Mary had a little lamb. It's just adorable. The area for older children and adults is honestly impressive. Lots of rides grown ups will enjoy. We were impressed by the lengths StoryLand goes to keep guests with children comfortable - lots of shaded areas, numerous tents with mist inside to cool down - a "calm down room" which was blasting with air conditioning and had floor pillows, many diaper changing areas with rocking chairs etc. We were especially impressed with their inclusivity - there was a "quiet dining" area where guests that needed quiet could dine. Bring bathing suits and a change of clothes for for grown ups and for littles - there are lots of splash pads and opportunities to cool down! It was so fun! We can't wait to return! We think our toddler has many years of fun to come here! read more

This is just a barely OK park. Thankfully we got discounted prices because I do not think this park is worth the full price they charge. Also, we have heard they are charging for parking but that must be on the weekends because we went on a Tuesday and it was free. The new Moo lagoon is just OK - great for smaller kids 5 and under but boring for kids 5+ for more than 20-30 minutes. The water slides are a great addition but they feel like an after thought trying to catch the attention of older kids. I really didn't like that they opened the water area but the changing rooms were not open yet! We had to change in an unlocked family changing room next to the bathrooms that had no air conditioner or fan on a 90+ degree day. VERY bad customer service! The Daniel Tiger show is inside but not air conditioned either and completely unbearable on a hot summer day. They really need to add more shaded spots and air conditioners especially as summers seem to be hotter and hotter. We saw 0 characters the entire time we were at the park which was from 9:30-4. The pirate ship was a bust - the kid running it said the water was too low and the winds too high so he could only let a few people on at a time but that didn't instill any confidence and hearing him struggle to steer it was ridiculous. My kids are now saying they are too old for this park and I am not sad about that. We will just go to Santa's Village for 2 days every year instead. read more

This is not Disney, nor does it have Disney prices or crowds. This is a clean family friendly amusement park. It is well maintained and staffed with friendly engaging people. I came as a kid, brought my children and now my grandchildren. Spent the day enjoying the laughs and smiles on my 1 and 3 year olds. There are very few places that cater to young kids. TLDR; save your money. Go to Santa's village (which IS magical). The park has gone from magical to a cash-grabbing dump. Within the first 30 feet of the entrance you will be confronted with a sleazy timeshare company that you literally can't avoid. Behind it? A junky Dunkin kiosk. So much for a "fairy tale" experience. Need a stroller? At Santa's Village they're free (because they care about the guest experience). Storyland? 11 bucks. Take a right turn to the "classic" part of the park - you be confronted with unmaintained old installations (these are the original part of the park). Literally every one of them is in some state of disrepair, and covered in pine needles, damaged, and filthy. Most are broken. Continue on towards the area towards mother goose - you'll find more broken things and a general level of dirt and filth. There used to be an area with animals - they are no longer there, but it also looks like there hasn't been a coat of paint in 10+ years. Chipping and peeling paint, empty ponds (for the now missing ducks) and some weird dollar store animals on sticks. From there head through the "gate" to the entrance of the area with Cinderella's castle, swan boats, the now missing swan princess, the (on the day of our visit not-running) pirate ship, etc. 1. Swan boats: filthy. 2. The old large swan princess boat: gone 3 pirate ship: not running. (When it is it looks like the Temu version of a ride, with the now abandoned former parts of the aforementioned swan boat still visible and decaying) 4. The fort area - dirty and broken. 5. The carousel: dirty and broken 6. The first gift shop - features "great pretenders brand of dress-up. This used to be an overflowing awesome gift shop. Now it looks like a "going out of business sale" of a half empty store. Keep moving towards the Los Bravos mine area. This is basically abandoned and being let to rot. 1. Los Bravos Mine tour: gone. 2. Cantina: closed 3. Shooting gallery: broken 4. A weird pizza kiosk? Closed 5. The "pan for gems" experience? It exists. Moving on from there you'll enter the "center park" area. This is the "best" maintained area, but is still closer to an average run down amusement park. Bad overpriced food, and everything feels empty. 1 polar coaster: still there. Still cool. 2. Flying elephants: broken/not running 3. Milk the cow: still gross. 4. Make your own sundae: there. Open. 5. Safari ride: broken, and it looks like a hoarder made a bad Halloween display 6. Aztec water ride: this hasn't run in at least 3 years. Completely drained and empty 7. Balloon ride: not sure if this was running. 8. Former space ride/loopy lab: DIRTY and broken. (It's sad this ride is gone. Now let's head back to the newer area: Moo Lagoon: this is a fever dream of personal injury. New this year - it's seems fun. (TBH my daughter enjoyed it, but an active parent needs to be with the child. It's too much stuff in too little space. The "life guards" are apathetic, soaked, and while there I watched: - three children slip and fall to the point of relatively serious facial abrasions - life guards gaslighting children that they can't wear goggles (that they literally sell five feet away) - life guards ignoring children not clearing the slides - life guards not reacting to a diaper wearing baby literally sit and defecate - life guards caring more about telling adults they can't wear sunglasses than watching people going down the slides safely - a family lose a child (2 year old), try and tell a nice guard and ask for help and be literally ignored - such a significant language barrier that most of the attendants couldn't actually answer questions After that fever dream keep going back and keep being disappointed: - wooden roller coaster: broken - farm rides: broken - fish ride: broken Every bathroom? Filthy. Every hand sanitizer: empty Start looping back now... Bamboo chutes: fun. Clean. Working Dr geyser: 50% working 50% broken Don't forget to pas by the smoking area literally next to the mother/baby/sensory room. Nothing says "let's calm a child like some dude ripping butts outside the window fYI- if you are in a bathroom stall in this area, and someone is walking up the ramp towards the former "Heidi" cabin (which is all abandoned), be prepared that you are 100% on display through the windows. Pooping with an audience is always fun. As you exit the mostly empty final gift shop you're finally out of this sad excuse for something that used to be amazing. Storyland. These people have become thieves, charging customers at the gate twice of what it was last year ($80 compared to $40) UNLESS you are savvy and go online to their ticketing webpage and pick a date where the normal price is reflective and make that purchase on the website. They will not tell you any of this at the gate. You can even make the online purchase in the parking lot before entering. I paid full price unaware of the scam and then complained asking for my money back or at least a free ticket to co or date and the manager I spoke with was rude and refused any sort of compensation. This park is run by very sleazy business owners out to fleece anyone struggling to pay bills and trying to take their kids on a littlewho got rid of all the real animals and replaced them with fake one. read more

Had a great time here for Nostalgia Night! It definitely brought back a ton of childhood memories. All the rides were the same, lots of fun, the food was just ok and super expensive. Lots of places for photo ops to recreate your childhood photos. All of the employees, from the front gate people, to the ride operators were extremely friendly and helpful. This is such a magical spot for kids without having to leave New England. It is definitely geared toward younger kids, but my nephew (age 9) loves it, so even tweens think it's a fun place. My 2 year olds had a fantastic first trip here this past summer. There are tons of rides that they could go on with an adult, making for a busy day of fun. The little productions they put on are also great for kids- they're only 15 minutes so they work well for little ones with short attention spans. One of the few flaws is that parts of the park are much more updated than others. There's a whole section that looks like it could use a lot of love and isn't particularly exciting. The lines for mediocre food are also very long around lunchtime. If coming in the summer, I highly recommend aiming for opening time so that you can get to your favorite rides before the crowds come! read more

Great amusement park for littles. We got here after 1 pm on a Saturday and stayed til closing. There were no lines at entry and exit was fast. It's a long drive if you're coming from the Boston area, so be prepared to have some ideas for entertaining the children. The bathrooms were super clean with water bubblers at front to fill your bottles. None of the rides had long lines which meant we could go to many rides in the 4 hours. One adult, child ticket was about $80. Food variety was pretty good and in the middle range price wise. Really nice family atmosphere! read more

I see many of the reviews were not kind to Storyland in 2021. I can't imagine attempting to go to an amusement park where the mask requirements vary by area or ride, social distancing in line, etc. It just sounds awful overall. But as we "head back to normal", I can assure everyone that from the looks of it, Storyland is there too. I don't know if buying tickets in advance for certain days is a carryover from pandemic days or not, but it still looks to be required. I monitored the website closely, going back to like March to see what would happen on certain days once it all opened and we jumped at the tickets. I thought there would be a good chance each weekend day sold out if they were limiting the amount of park guests. We arrived on a Saturday right around "rope drop" and the longest lines of the day were to get in through the ticketing area, even though we had paper copies in hand. I thought there might be some kind of security check but nope, no looking around the stroller or anything so we were through the line in under 10 minutes. The crowds were either small by design or the high gas prices are keeping those away traveling from afar to keep them down a bit. I was amazed that literally nobody was in line TWICE for Roar-a-saurus when I rode it so the nice attendants let us go again if we wanted to. Yes please, because this is the most action-packed small woodie on the planet! RAS is now easily the draw for me, even as we have two little kids who love everything else. I'd spend $40 every single time to ride this like 2-3 times and still feel like I got my park's moneys worth, it is THAT good. The air time is just crazy and even though it only lasts for 40 seconds, 32 of those after the lifthill are filled with excitement. For adults and bigger kids, the log flume is beautifully themed around China so it's a hit in this half-Chinese family. Dr. Geyser's was fun, it was not above 75 that day so I'm happy that you don't get too soaked in parts like some others who have this ride. Polar Coaster wasn't super thrilling but reminded me a wild mouse even though it has a train design. The Glockenspiel theming is some of the best I've ever seen and on par with what Disney would offer. Antique cars and the tractors were a huge hit with my two year old who could drive both. The digging area outside of RAS was also a big hit and good to see wasn't an upcharge. I think we ALL enjoyed the ball area where you shoot them from cannons the most, even my one year old loved seeing them fly. They couldn't harm a fly so that was good to see, they really are almost lighter than air. And good luck getting toddlers off the slides and other areas to play around in from the front of the park. Prices on food were a bit steep for what you get, really my only tiny complaint. Plus the only thing not open that day was one of the food areas that normally serves things like burgers, causing longer lines at the only one remaining. We got a child's chicken finger with fries and I don't know if it was a mistake or not but you really couldn't decipher the amount given from a usual adult meal. They were out of containers for the $4 popcorn in the Farm Stand towards the back, another mild issue. New England doesn't have a ton of amusement parks in our area because we have a season that doesn't stretch much beyond three months to be profitable. Storyland has been going strong for almost 70 years and show no signs of slowing down or disrepair. It comes highly recommended for families with kids under like the age of 8. They will love it and most adults will too. read more

This should be called nickel and dime land. Everything was outrageous, parking fees to start the day on the wrong note. Then it seems like they do not limit entry so it was PACKED. Lines were long and slow for very dated rides. Then basic food was insanely priced. The part was decently clean, but no where as clean as Santa's Village. The employees were nice, but all foreigners compared with Santa's village's sweet grandpa and grandmas.. Santa's village is so far superior it isn't even close. It's like comparing the WNBA to the NFL. I'd easily travel 2 hours more each way for Santa's Village. This place has lost its magic and is capitalizing on parents trying to give their children a nice time. read more

Had a day trip here yesterday with the grandchildren and we had so much fun. Very clean and well organized. It actually was a lot bigger than I expected. My granddaughter did not meet many of the height required for rides but at that age, she still had a blast. We went to one of their food venues and I was sooooo surprised how great the cheeseburger tasted. The bun was warm and buttery. The meat was so dang flavorful and completely unexpected for quick service. My daughter has a seasonal pass and it was well worth the price. I went to Story Land on August 23rd. I took my children when they were little several times. Now, this is my second trip with my grandchildren. The first thing we noticed is that parking is no longer free. You have to pay to park. Also, they charge $75 per ticket if you pay there and $40 a ticket if you order them ahead of time. On a positive note, the blue and yellow flowers matching the facade are a pleasant welcome. However, the rest of the day continued with disappointing results. The old lady in the shoe was wonderful and had more energy than half the college kiddos hired for this summer. She was wonderful. There are no animals there anymore. The children get confused when they get up to the "The Three Little Pigs" or "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" only to see cardboard cutouts. This park is making about $500 a carload and this is what we get. They have these spots where you can supposedly fill up your water bottle but we checked them all and they were all out of service. Is that so we can buy water for3.99 a bottle or worse the ice drinks which probably have more sugar than a can of Mountain Due? We then waited in line for Cinderella. My 3 year old was so excited. However when she got up there she was nervous so she grabbed onto her dress and pulled it up. Cinderella (college age girl) said to her "you know you really shouldn't be llifting up your dress and showing your undergarments. It is quite improper." I watched the excitement fade from my granddaughter's eyes as she shifted on her feet and nervously looked out at all the people. Yes, children at this age can get embarrased. I was horrified that this is what she got for standing in line with anxious anticipation. I think Cinderella should work on acting like a Princess and not a Karen in the middle of a mall. The next breath she asked if she wanted a hug and gave her a fake smile. Since my granddaughter is so loving she gave her a hug in return. I said nothing not wanting my granddaughter to get upset. We then went to the photo dresk where no one said anything. We said "look there you are, what a great picture" and since we werent buying a glossy 8 x 10 I saw the cashier roll her eyes. Next up, the swan boats. We get on me, my daughter, my granddaughter and grandson. She helps us get in and then at the last second she says "don't forget to steer it." She gave us no directions and I get it, it is a simple thing but just more of the quiet quitting I saw all day around this hasbeen park. Where is all the money going that you are making? I do not see any improvements. The video when you get there says "live shows" and shows Cinderella outside of the castle. We all know both of those things do not happen. We then went to the Pirate ship where we have another quiet quitter. We get on his ship and he is sitting in the back scrolling on his phone the ENTIRE TIME. I had to point things out and try to make it a little entertaining. All in all if I am being honest, Story Land needs a new chapter. The public deserve more for their money and the employees need to act like they want to be there even if they just fake it for the three minutes that we are there with them. read more

I had not been to Storyland since around 2015. I was very excited to bring my 19 month old. My kiddos are 12 years apart, so I was ready to take a trip down memory lane. We took just the baby while big kids were away. I wanted to scope it out because I had "heard things" about its current state. But I figure a baby will be ok! So me and my husband and our baby drive off to Storyland! We arrive to $10 parking. ???? Ok.... That's new. I've never been charged to park in a businesses parking lot before like that. We walk up to a tent with two older ladies who I'm assuming are checking bags. She says "do you have any bags?" I say "No, just th-" She cuts me off "THATS a BAG" to my fanny pack. (I was already pointing to that because I was saying "no, just this" and I already had it open for her to look in) I didn't like this interaction, but I moved on. No big deal. We get to the top let counter and the friendly man tells me that the tickets are 70 something dollars at the door but $39 online. Ok... so we order online.... Why would t you charge that at the door I wonder... but ok! We are in! Can't wait. Oh wait! Where is babies hat? We look around. It's gone. Like very gone. We look everywhere. We find out that it fell off at the bag check (we were still only 15 feet away from the bag check) so the grumpy lady at the bag check gave our hat to security. We were literally right there. There were NO other families near by or entering during this time. Instead of saying "here you dropped this" they gave it to the security station? My husband looks at me and silently mouths "wtf" A really sweet older lady told us it was in security and went and got it for us. She was the only staff member we met that didn't act miserable. Now we finally enter the park! We go to the bathroom. It was a long car ride. There is puke all over the sink. It has 3 spouts but one long shared basin. Puke everywhere. The soap pumps are full but don't work. The water at my basin doesn't work..... ok. I put that aside as well and I go to enjoy this magic day with my child. We go to the first few rides. Closed after Labor Day. Ok.... I didn't realize that was the situation, even though we went on the website before hand, but. "Ok" I keep telling myself. I go to get a drink. The young lady was completely cordial but looked and spoke like she wanted to die right there. No biggy. It's late in the day. We go to 3 more rides. Closed. I take baby to the magic tree!!!! It's looking pretty shady these days... we go to the nursery rhyme area. Yeah! I'll show baby the 3 little pigs and Billy goats etc.... Nope! They are all gone. No more animals. Shitty lame wood cutouts take their place now. We keep going. The pirate ship! Let's go there!!nope. It's closed. "Water is too low". Now I'm getting a little irritated.... We go on the flying Dutch shoes. We visit Cinderella. The gem of the place. What a sweetie! She's the only star I give the place. We go on the train. The train squeals SO LOUD that I cringed half the time The guy who did the safari ride was very weird... he seemed miserable. We thanked him a bunch to see if it lifted his spirits.... Nope. We said "baby saw the dinosaurs from the train and he was so excited!" His response? "Ok?" As if we are boomers and he is a cool teenager. At the end of the safari you find "bob". Bob is a child's Jcpenny mannequin with an adult sized safari outfit on. "Bob" is tied to the tree to stand up and he has no face because he is literally a store mannequin with no face... Costume shop? Pretty empty. $70 cheap costumes. We get in line for the antique cars. Baby loves to pretend to drive! I swear to god on my life... the damn ride breaks down when we get in line.... Like dead cars on the tracks. They poured money into Moomoo water park or something? Dude this place is falling apart. Why would you add new stuff when the stuff you have is ridiculous. You have to walk through an almost abandoned looking 70s park to get to the new water park anyway. And "water park" is a little bit of a stretch. More like "extreme splash pad". Looked cool! But for kids 6 and under only. I remember Storyland in 2001. I loved it. What is the there now? It was a sad place grasping for your money and giving you nothing worthwhile back.. my inner child's heart was crushed today. Stop adding new stuff and fix what you have. What you are advertising is a lie.many people are telling you this place is dated and needs to get a facelift. Many people are saying that a lot of staff was shitty. Story Land - Amusement Parks Near Me - Glen, New Hampshire

The entrance fee is fair, (when on deal) the park is very clean and not overcrowded (we went on a Sunday) and my 3 year old grandson had a blast. I took away 2 stars based on the concessions, while I certainly expect to pay more at amusement parks, there is no need to charge $3.99 for a bottle of water that you pay pennies for. Also I didn't see any water fountains in the park, maybe I just missed them. Took our almost 3 yo son this past weekend and it was a great experience! all the staff was friendly and so were the guests. there wasn't a ton of food options (assume its early in the season) but we did find out there is alcohol in the world food tent/behind ice cream bar! you can bring coolers, def worth it for snacks/water esp if you have kids. A suggestion for younger kids/families, when you walk in the park - go to the right (towards the teacups/cinderella castle) that route is perfect to start at And then ends with the antique cars. we did the opposite, still fun, but the other side was more his age group and very entertaining for our baby. have fun! read more

We haven't been to Story Land in a few years. We used to love it (as parents) because it was so easy: just park, pay the reasonable entrance fee, walk in, and enjoy. While in the area, we decided to drop by and go in with our son, on a whim. The first surprise: parking is no longer free. Now first thing we are fumbling with our phone to pay via some online app, which is apparently the only way to pay. Second surprise, you now buy tickets from a self-service kiosk instead of dealing with a nice person. Third surprise, entry fee is now $75 per person. Wow! Fourth surprise, if you buy tickets online, it's only $60. Why??? Now we are fumbling with the phone again to go through a long workflow to save a few bucks. Can't get it to work on my wife's phone so I do it. Meanwhile we are standing in the customer service booth doing this while an employee sits idle at the register unable to help because she can only charge the $75 for tickets. Finally, I get through the workflow, buy the tickets on my dang phone, scan them and enter. $191 for three people. Holy crap, Story Land, you have really screwed up your customer experience! We will be telling our friends about the changes. It's become such an ordeal just to get in. Not only that, the one ride that my son wanted to revisit, Polar Coaster, was closed all day, even though there was a sign saying it would open at 1:30. We were so disappointed in our visit today to story land. The water park broke down for 1 1!2 hours. The rollercoaster was out of order for several days. One of the attendants told my granddaughter she could. It wear her water goggles in the water park when it reopened. They sell the goggles right there at the gift shop at the water park. We had to speak with three workers until they said itwas ok for her to wear them. At this point she was crying and was done! We went to the animal section and there pens were empty, we thought they were inside due to the heat but the worker we asked said they do not have animals anymore. There was no signage or hating off this section even though there were no animals. To top It off. We got a parking ticket on the car when we came out saying they charge for parking??!!
