Pretty solid WeWork. I come here when I don't want go up to mine in manhattan. It's not at capacity, so there's plenty of space to grab a booth or shared area. You can also almost always book it. Nice variety on tap, including angry orchard for gluten free folks. There's a private barista, so you can order coffee at a discount. Not free though like some others. My biggest complaint is the main area gets really loud, mainly because of the staff. A few have extremely loud voices, so you have to go somewhere else to work in peace. read more

Great work space for creatives and startups. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The major perk is the beer that's available on tap in the dining / kitchen area on each floor. There's some pretty solid city views from the 6 floors and above. read more

WeWork Dumbo Heights - Shared Office Spaces Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Both stars are for the staff who keep the place the place clean, make coffee and fruit water, front desk, mail staff. I don't know who's rating this so highly or what relationship they have to WeWork but this place is really not great, folks. There is zero---zero air circulation in the conference rooms-any time of year regardless of outdoor temp be prepared to sweat in a box of BO and food smells funk. The building is overheated-period. Common areas and conf rooms will often be invaded by hordes of students from Flatiron School which is on the 3rd floor-they infiltrate the entire building and run around from floor to floor poaching beer - because well you're trying to do business in a place that's sometimes overrun by kids. And to top it off the windows are thin so you can hear the trains on the bridge rumbling thru every few minutes so loudly people on phone calls can hear them. Been to other WeWork locations and stunned by how much better they are. Avoid this one at all costs. When you bring external visitors in for meetings you look like an amateur trying to conduct a meeting by shouting over the train sweating in a stinky room because it was the only one available at the time you needed. read more

Wow... I was completely impressed with this place!I went on a weekend and again in the evening and I was able to find parking pretty quick. The check in process was quick. So I am literally giving this review based on the wonderful location AND the Girls on The Run company inside the offices. I've been here a few times and I really like it. read more

Torn on this recommendation b/c WeWork as a concept for an early stage company like ours is terrific. AND the Dumbo Heights location is good with alot of light. There are a couple of BIG issues which I don't necessarily think are WeWork's fault - but we are the victim of. 1) 1 of the 2 elevators in the Dumbo Heights building is down ~30% of the time. They're slow elevators to begin with. The amount of man-hours our company has lost waiting on the elevators here are huge. I don't know if it's WeWork's fault - as in, there are always people working on them - I guess we're just in an old building with old elevators. The staff is nice and I think they feel badly, but I don't know that there's anything they can do. 2) The Manhattan Bridge is outside the window of an entire side of the building. The noise of trains going by can be an issue - especially on calls. Speaker-phone conference calls are pretty much not an option. read more

I love working here but there are a few things taking away a star: 1. The elevators are broken a lot. I had surgery over the summer and I'm still severely anemic so walking to the 7th floor or having to walk across the street to Sands to get to my office without passing out is a bit cumbersome. They did fix the elevator a few weeks ago and there haven't been as many issues but... Much like the MTA, fixing something doesn't always mean it works. 2. The ping pong bros. Seriously... You guys play too much ping pong. I'm doing a correlation study that I hypothesize will show an inverse correlation between how much ping pong you play and the success of your business. I'm writing about this because you guys are LOUD. So loud, I can't work in my office sometimes. I'm glad you take breaks during the work day, we all do... But be respectful to the people working around you. You don't need to chug free wework beer and yell from 12-5pm every day. 3. The free coffee. Unless you are getting your coffee from the incredible Renée on the 6th floor of Sands, you are going to be disappointed. I know. I shouldn't complain about the coffee... It's there all day, it's free (sort of... I mean it's included in your rent I'm sure) but.... Can we all agree that super strong, burnt coffee is not even worth the free part? I get indigestion consuming this stuff. Finally, and this a Wework complaint overall: please stop advertising your "fruit water" as a perk. You literally fill a jug with tap water and put fruit in it; and I don't know about the rest of the weworks in this world... But the fruit water on the 7th floor of prospect is the weirdest I've ever seen. Apples and watermelon? Pineapples, peaches, and mint?? Near the end of the week you can always tell they are getting rid of their excessive mint supply by the entire plant that is in the bottom of the water. Save yourself some money wework, and just do lemons and limes. Mint is good occassionally and sparingly. Like I said... I love working here in general. Roof deck is amazing, location is awesome and the staff are super nice. If you are looking for a location for office space I'd definitely recommend it. read more

One star for the staff's friendliness. NOISY. If you need to concentrate on anything, this is not the place to work. The thin walls and echo-y space only emphasize 20s men yelling back and forth to each other, things crashing on the floor, weirdly noisy faucets and loud music (why is there music?!) This is not a place for grown ups. read more

My company currently has office space here and we love it. There can be a few hiccups when it comes to technical issues (ie. internet slow/down, printer acting) but that's life. There is great customer service amongst all the staff that I interact with. I have a few favorites, but they are all great. I love Rene, the barista a whole lot by the way. She is so engaging even to my family when they come in to visit... even my dog! I definitely think the space is worthy the money. read more

We currently have 3 offices in the Sands location and we love it. Views are amazing, plenty of light coming through the windows, layout is great, lots of clean common areas for colleagues to meet and work. The whole WeWork team is amazing but a few stand out people are Renee, Ivan, Gal and Luigi. Renee is our resident barista, and even with Bluestone downstairs I still prefer her coffee. Cappuccinos, Lattes, espressos- all on point. Always around and super quick - never a line. She's probably the biggest perk of being at this wework location! Ivan is the ultimate guy who wears multiple hats, the team always looks forward to getting messages in their wework inbox because it usually means something good. Gal is the do-er, I go to her with any questions I may have and she handles it - quick! Luigi is the Fixer - not a single lazy bone in his body, super friendly, and literally makes sure everyone is happy, no matter what the ask. Lucky to have such an All Star Team under one roof! read more

This is a really awesome and convenient space. Just a few long blocks from the 2 train at Clark Street, it's located near the Brooklyn Bridge near the Etsy building. I went there for a panel thrown by Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival which was pretty damn awesome. When you first arrive it looks like a plain gray building with glass doors. The reception area is also sleek but nothing out of the ordinary. You can tell it's a creative work space with the art on the wall to your left. The front desk security was professional, pleasant and made the line to get to the event swiftly. Once you get past security, there are turnstiles to get in and elevators to get upstairs as well as a staircase. On the 7th floor which is where the panel took place, there's huge windows overlooking DUMBO, couches, artsy wallpaper (or painted not sure), bathrooms, and a kitchen where drinks were served. Although it's a classy space it's also very warm and cozy at the same time. It's actually bigger than I thought it would be. Can't speak on using the space regularly but for a talk, WeWork was the perfect fit. read more

Note: I'm a Commons Member, so I work form the common areas, I don't hold an office here which may affect other people's experiences. Personally, I love WeWork Dumbo. It's a great work experience and a phenomenal deal as a commons member. The space is beautiful, the 6th floor common area is very well kept, and Renee at the Coffee bar kills it everyday for us. They bring in lunch daily, which means if you're in the middle of a project you can't put down, lunch is brought to you. For me, this place can't be beat. read more

I started my Interior Design firm, ALine, here two years ago and have had nothing but great experiences. I am in love with the location, staff, amenities, etc. I agree with the other reviewers that the stand out peeps are Ivan, Renee, Joel, Luigi, Pat, and on and on. (I apologize if I left someone out, there are a lot of great people). The staff has become family to me and ALWAYS go above and beyond for us. I love coming in to work seeing Ivan and Joel every morning and heading up to see Renee at the coffee bar. I don't buy any other coffee but hers if I can help it. We visit and chat every day sometimes more than once a day! She is a fun part of my daily routine. Ivan has looked out for me from day ONE. I hope he never leaves this location. I would be VERY upset and disappointed. I could go on and on about my WeWork fam but have gushed enough. P.S. Floor 4 is the best!!!!!!!!!! read more

Saleem's comment is pretty spot on. Been here since August '16, floors have only been cleaned twice (because we put in a ticket for it each time...). Dust bunnies GALORE floating around, including coming from the light fixtures. Only the trash is taken out daily. Our office is FREEZING, the ac is so strong you can literally watch the papers on our desk blowing. We ticket this often, still waiting for todays ticket to be answered while we're all sitting here in our coats. (Tweets get better responses than putting in a ticket). Rooftop still not opened. The staff is friendly, though there seems to be a pretty high turnover. Space is definitely a bit fratty and loud as someone has mentioned, drunk bros cracked the ping pong table in half...which was pretty impressive. Way too expensive for what you get. read more

I will start off by saying that I am very particular about my work space. This place and (maybe all Weworks) is super sell-y. They really just want to get you in here. Without getting into the ridiculous details of a few (well maybe 5) runarounds and oversights, I will just say this, WeWork Dumbo Heights is super unorganized! In addition, the promised rooftop still isn't open, it's always freezing indoors, technical issues like printing takes DAYS to resolve or get help, the acoustics are horrendous. The staff is extremely nice and dogs are allowed. Those are the positives. Raising the this to 3 stars only because Pat is the best Community Member ever! read more

Really frustrating experience. I couldn't print documents because they failed to grant me proper access to the internal network through no fault of my own. It took 2 months to resolve that single issue after hounding multiple community managers only to be issued ticket after ticket to no avail. I had an issue with my billing invoice that took another 3 months to resolve (simple name change). I finally had to cancel my membership after they refused to allow my company to pay by check or direct deposit (they only allow cc payments for hot desks). I've since found a different co-working space with significantly better customer service. read more

We've been here 3 months. The staff is super nice. However. Huge operational issues: our floors have NEVER been cleaned, all beer taps are empty even on Thursdays and Fridays, the promised rooftop remains closed. We've brought up these issues multiple times: staff apologizes but nothing changes downstream. The view is great, most of the staff is nice, coffee is good. read more

An incredible place to start any business. Yes, some complain that there aren't enough food options around the neighborhood - but it's gotten MUCH better in the past 2 months, and will only continue to improve. The best part of this WeWork is Renee - the cafe barista on the 7th floor. She is not only super cheerful and brightens the entire floor, but she also makes THE best lattes in Brooklyn. I've been a member (hot desk) of this location about 5 months now. There's something inspiring about working around other entrepreneurs, startups, and thriving businesses. I like working out of coffee shops too, but I feel most productive here because everyone around me is in work mode. One thing I appreciate about Dumbo Heights is how the staff sets up regular free events and workshops, from accounting tips to driving traffic to your website to happy hour socializing. Free coffee. Snacks available for purchase, plus they bring in vendors for lunch almost every weekday. They have a coffee bar too (shout out to Renee for keeping me caffeinated). read more

It's not the worst coworking space I've been to but it's the worst WeWork that I know. The problem is the noise: the acoustics are terrible in meeting rooms and communal spaces. There are few sound-dampening items so every space created unbearable echo for calls and meetings. I recently sat in a quiet corner of a communal space to call a client and they couldn't hear me at all because there were three people simply talking nearby. The tech setup in meeting rooms is terrible, with dreadful acoustics and complicated hookups. read more

I appreciate the value of working at at a WeWork space because it provides a collaborative and inspiring space to work and create. Unfortunately, I think this value is lost at WeWork Dumbo. The space has become loud, disorganized,fratty, and unprofessional--especially during work hours on the 7th floor, inside conference rooms, and the phone booths. It's difficult to hear yourself think, conduct a professional call or a meeting when all you can hear is the barista loudly recapping her 10-day vacation to Miami. I would bring this up with the Community Manager but it seems she too also contributes to the chatty gossip that exists on the 7th floor. The rest of the community team I have no complaints about. read more

I've been at this WeWork location for about five months. It has been a pretty mediocre experience. There are frequent internet outages [an enormous detriment to my business], the elevators and heating don't work right, and the coffee is barely drinkable. I'm here to work, not party. If your priorities are reversed you'll probably have a much better time. The one upside is that it is an aesthetically pleasing office, with nice furniture, great views of the city, and lots of natural light - hence the two star rating. read more

The Community Management team is this location is unlike any other - and I've been a member of 3 different WeWork locations. I love the sky bridge, the espresso bar, the amazing barista renee who makes GREAT coffee. Everything about this place is warm and has a strong sense of community.
