Wow! This space is incredible. i booked with Ellie who was so fast in responding (friendly & attentive as well). The space has 12 different floors of meeting rooms- all different decorating styles. There is also coffee, water, snacks, and beer (!) on tap for guests of the facility. I would highly recommend! read more

This space is not for everyone. Though very clean and nice looking. It is a little depressive for me. It is extremely quiet which I love and the outdoor space is a charm. You don't see a lot of people and did I mention the noise level is below zero? For me, I am not into dark walls, because it makes everything darker. The receptionist is on another floor, so if you have questions, you have to go downstairs to go back up stairs to ask and then back again downstairs to the community section. I am not a fan of the area. I would have taken a walk, but the fumes and multitudes of people in this midtown prevented me. This won't be my new co-working space because no one gave me a tour or showed me around, not because I need to, but because if I were to get an office here, I would rather a little bit more assistance than what was given. Out of all of the co-working spaces which I have explored, WorkHouse NYC is hands down the best. It is spacious, clean, airy, and bright. There is a wonderful Feng shui about the space. Most notably, it starts with the staff that works there -- as they are always extremely friendly and helpful. The beautiful rooftop on the 11th floor gives it a nice touch when you want to take a couple deep breaths to take in the wonderful city of NYC. My team and I threw an event there last night and the event space was setup even before I got onsite 2 hours prior to the event. They were so mindful and attentive to every detail. Also, attendees of our events were very impressed by the beautiful space. Thank you to Sasha Ragland and team for making us feel at home. We appreciate you ALL so much. read more

Do you remember the kid at school who underachieved? The kid that, if only he/she applied him/herself, they could have been a star of the class? But, the reality was this kid was often lazy and showed little interest in excelling. In my experience, WorkHouse is the shared office space version of this kid. While it is a knock, on WorkHouse, there' are some things to like about WorkHouse. They are: - It's wonderfully clean. You could perform open heart surgery anywhere in the place. - Location: 8-minute walk to Grand Central and 12 mins to Penn Station -Amazing Outdoor Patio. You have access to two outdoor patios that are truly gems. It's a great place to talk on the phone or enjoy some of YOUR OWN coffee and take a break from your work. The not so good. - West 46th Street is pretty sketchy. For some reason, this street is home to unoccupied and abandoned buildings and retail stores. - Lack of Friendliness and being accommodating by ownership and management. The Workhouse staff is coldly professional and with a few exceptions, they are not friendly or accommodating. They always find an excuse as to why something can't be done. I have been to several WeWorks, and their staff could win "friendliness and accommodation" awards...WorkHouse will not win such an award. The company I worked for rented an open area of WorkHouse on two floors for almost a year. It was my experience that WorkHouse management rarely sees things from the eyes of their paying tenants. They do NOT go out of their way to make your experience pleasant and are minimally helpful. Here's one example: Because of the way the sun would hit the building, our area would become unbearably hot from 1PM-4PM and the sun would be directly in our eyes..not slightly...but directly.... A normal person would say, "Well let's just get some blinds and make everyone comfortable". What WorkHouse said was, "Gee the blinds would spoil the view-we can't do that.". I wish I was making that statement up, or exaggerating, but I am not! They actually said that. So we suffered from the sun in our eyes and sweated through most of the summer. Oh yeah..they refused to let us open a window because "flies might get in". (Home Depot sells screens for about $15. Blair is the office manager and was very nice, and she broke the bad and weird news to us. I have a feeling she'd be more helpful and accommodating if she was allowed to be-- but got the sense ownership had no real interest in at least trying act like they would be helpful and accommodating. If they ever do a 46th st version of a Christmas Carol, Workhouse ownership could audition for the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge. If you rent an actual office that is a bit more money, maybe ownership is friendlier? But if they are--is that something you want? Playing favorites? There is a coffee and snack bar ONLY if you bring your own coffee and snacks. Their website makes it sound like they have these items available for free --they are not. At WeWork, the coffee flows 24 hours a day and is free. Workhouse has free filtered tap water but guess what? It's lukewarm and takes about two minutes to fill a one-liter bottle, and there's no ice on the premises. So if you like drinking lukewarm filtered tap water, there's no problem there. If you can't afford or get into a WeWork or Regus, give workhouse a try as a last resort. But if you can get into a WeWork or Regus I sincerely feel you will have a better experience than being at WorkHouse. read more

Very cool modern industrial design. Huge windows and lots of space lend to an energetic vibe. Plus, the tenants and management are all fun and positive AND they listen to you and your concerns and are willing to make changes to help you out. Location is super-convenient to Grand Central, the BDFM, and ACE. I even love going to this place on weekends... it feels like home. Looking forward to the rooftop deck opening up May 1! read more

This place has a lot of potential, with a nice setup and decor for events. However, having organized many events in NYC for several years now, the management and the associates at WorkHouse are by far the most degrading and bizarre I've encountered thus far. I booked the space for a small celebratory event via Peerspace (and my contact was Olivia). Leading up to the event, I booked a time that was requested by Olivia and more convenient for her "staff". Yet upon arrival to the space extremely late due to traffic and suddenly merely 20 minutes to setup everything for guests, I found only Olivia there to represent the space, with headphones in, feet propped up, lounging on a sofa... As the bartenders and I frantically setup, we'd have to search for Olivia for any answers to our questions -- in which she'd normally just point for where we might be able to find an outlet, or kitchen supplies, etc.. Fortunately, we were able to get setup only slightly after guests started to arrive, and I amounted it all to the laughable hectic life of events in NYC. But later in the evening, when time to exit, myself and the bartenders hustled to get everything cleaned up and packed away. With an excess of leftover booze and food, and the fact that I was slowed down by a recent knee injury, we were about 15 minutes late leaving the venue. All the while, Olivia had been standing around yelling at my crew, stamping her foot, holding her purse ready to leave. It was incredibly embarrassing for my guests and crew, especially as she let the door slam on us as we carried our final load out the door and she huffed and puffed (no exaggeration) off in a fury. Again, this was *less than a half-hour* delay in leaving. Although this was pretty odd selfish behavior in the world of events -- where normally issues are resolved with professional communication and fair revision of payment amounts -- I let it go without complaint (but with a mental note to never book with Olivia!!). However, a month later I was sent a bill for an overtime rate that didn't even make sense, as well as damages for property without any proof or photos thereof, as well as an extra cleaning fee and transaction fee (!!!). This is without any contact from Olivia or WorkHouse regarding such claims. Luckily, I was able to dispute through Peerspace and the charges dropped to a reasonable overtime amount (which I'd always been happy to pay) and simple fix to a table that was "damaged" by candle wax.. Still to this day, I have never been contacted by anyone at WorkHouse regarding the situation, and my attempts to simply explain my experience to whoever is the "supervisor" was met with refusal. So, for the sake of my fellow event planners (of professional and personal endeavors), I wanted to at least share this experience here. read more

Basically like General Assembly but with more work and fewer hipsters. Interior design is fine, furniture is nice. Only downside is the proximity to Times Square, but the convenience for transportation makes up for that. Also, some of the conference rooms are very echoey; some noise-canceling insulation would be a nice upgrade. A+, great transaction, would work again. read more

Workhouse has done a great job of combining youth, creativity, and style to serve small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs. It's clear that they are very in tune with the needs of this market and have made large strides to take care of their clients. most amazing space in new york.. what work house does that other companies does not is that they add that personal touch.. all of their employees, from dennis the doorman to the mgmt team, they are each an absolute pleasure to see every morning.. there are no bureaucratic rules, the space is so well designed and the people who work on every floor are all awesome.. way to go work house.. read more
