Excellent place to get stuff done! I am studying for the NY Bar Exam while working full time and I knew before I even began to study that it was hard for me to get stuff done at home. I began looking into coworking spaces but the costs were far too prohibitive, especially if I only needed entry at night and on weekends. I came across Park Slope Desk in December and am happy to say that I've been a member here ever since. The space is exceptionally suited for hard, focused work. The coworkers here are respectful and quiet. The space is lofty, sun-filled, and open from 7AM-1AM. I currently rent a larger sized desk and there's usually a space with an external monitor that I can use. They have external keyboards and mice I can borrow too so I can feel like I am working at a desktop. By far the best part about this spot is the Chief Coworker Cosmo, who is more than accommodating to weird scheduling requests and will help you use the fancy coffee maker, if need be. He's super responsive and is often on premises to answer any questions you might have. The space is kept in great shape and super warm, even on this very cold January day. I am going to be really sad when I don't have a reason to come here anymore, but I want to spread the Park Slope Desk love to those in need of an awesome coworking space. read more

Sometimes a change of environment can really help in increasing productivity. Park Slope Desk is the work space I've been searching for. As a writer with a day job I needed a space that I could use after-hours and on weekends, and was quiet. Other shared work spaces I looked at were not specifically quiet-only spaces. They usually had music and/or the hum of conversations in the background. That was not going to work for me. Whether you like working in a cubicle, out on an open desk, near a window or in a corner - Park Slope Desk offers that variety. And all the chairs, which tilt, swivel and roll, are comfortable. So be ready to sit your butt down for hours of work! Keyboards and laptop stands are also available if you need more ergonomic options. These extras illustrate Lee's attention to what a serious worker needs! Plus he's friendly, helpful and very accommodating when he can be to special requests. I have been a member of Park Slope Desk for three months. Going to work at Park Slope Desk has transformed my work life. The minute I walk in I feel focused on the work I have to do and all the noise of my other responsibilities diminish considerably. This space is VERY QUIET!!! The gorgeous light coming from the beautiful floor to ceiling windows, the high ceilings and the lovely wall colors (and wall hangings) help me relax and enjoy the day...this is a welcome departure from a noisy cafe or library where you have to lug your laptop to the bathroom! because of changing clientele. Park Slope Desk has the best of home without the distractions. The chairs are comfortable and adjustable. I feel homey also.... There is a lovely kitchen with great coffee making equipment and tables to sit at and eat. Other members are respectful and collegial. You can't beat the location...near the subways, R G and F. and two blocks from Prospect Park. Cosmo is a wonderful manager and has a warm and professional presence, ideal for getting work done. Park Slope Desk is an excellent spot to get things done. It has all of the conveniences, and the area is very clean, tidy, quiet, and spacious. Cosmo has been really helpful, friendly, and professional; I really appreciated the free coffee, printing, and the kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need to have your meals reheated and kept in a fridge, among other things. There is also a secure lock that only the app can unlock. There is additional space in front of the office for sitting and working outdoors, or just eating lunch. I had a great time utilizing this workspace and would strongly suggest it to anybody looking for convenience and room to work. Other members are likewise quite professional. Park Slope Desk truly is an absolutely quiet place to get things done. I so appreciate having my own desk and not having to share a table like other co-working spaces. I have a small sized desk, but I can spread my things out a bit and organize them. The space is in a nice neighborhood - near food, coffee and a lovely block to walk around if you need to stretch your legs. The other members take the silent working mandate seriously, but are never mean if your phone accidentally goes off or if you have to answer as you are walking out the door. There is a kitchen downstairs and phone booths as well, but I typically eat lunch and take phone calls in the little yard right out front. If you need quiet but also enjoy natural light and fresh air occasionally this is the place to go. read more

There are many reasons I recommend Park Slope Desk over other similar places or public places: 1) Quiet, distraction free time is taken seriously here. 2) Strong, reliable wifi. 3) LONG hours; try working at the Brooklyn Public Library at 7am or at your local coffee shop at 10pm. 4) All needed amenities (I used to work at the BPL a lot, but good luck leaving your laptop and papers unattended there for every snack or bathroom break). 5) It sounds kind of kooky, but being around other serious people doing serious work is inspiring (even though you don't know them or speak to them). 6) Add-ons like external monitors and printing. Park Slope desk is great. My productivity has skyrocketed in this space and isn't that the bottom line for this kind of service? Highly recommended. read more

What a fantastic place to be productive! As a 4th year medical student, I have been grateful to have found the Park Slope Desk. It is a productive place, that actually facilitates get work done -- far better than home, cafes, libraries, etc. Its members are respectful, and keep the environment focused on work. The price is very reasonable. The hours of operation are convenient hours--and include being open late, which is fantastic for professionals or students with day jobs. The space is appealing, sunny & bright The chairs are ergonomic and very comfortable . And the space has separate phone booths to keep phone calls from disturbing members. For months I had been struggling to find a truly QUIET working space that was affordable, centrally located and not crowded. After a job interview came up, I was forced to seriously search for a good work space. I stumbled across PSD here on Yelp and its truly a hidden gem. I've been using it for a week now and I only wish I had found it much sooner! The space is clean, quiet and everyone is respectful of house rules. Need to print? There's a print station. Hungry? There's a kitchen stocked with coffee and a microwave. The owner, Cosmo, is one of the most down to earth people you'll meet and he is very accessible should you need anything. Park Slope Desk was a great resource for me. I needed a quiet place to answer emails and write. Park Slope Desk is pretty straight forward. No talking (excellent). They have a phone booth (like the old days) if you need to take a call. Clean bathrooms and tea. It's really all that I needed! I would happily go there and write. I've been working on several projects but one of the projects was a movie script which I finished at Park Slope Desk and I'm now happy to say I'm directing in the coming months. I was preparing for my National Board exams and as a student mom I needed quite space to escape distractions. Accidentally, while strolling my baby I noticed the Study Hall- park slope desk. I am beyond thankful for having this opportunity to have park slope desk as an office and hideaway. Affordable, Clean, quite space surrounded with nice people and working professionals. I was hoping a co-working space would open in the South Slope, and my wish was granted! This place has plenty of outlets, phone booths with desks for privacy, lockers so you don't have to schlep everything everyday, and every other amenity I need. They even have a lamination machine! This is the perfect place to get things done. The place is very comfortable. There's a kitchen with a fridge and microwave for you to use if you want to bring food. There is also free tea and coffee.
