She always gives me exactly what I ask for and she is super funny and friendly too. I'm a bit picky about my nails and she puts up with me with a smile and executes my requests perfectly. I'm always so happy when I leave here! I think Westwoods' prices are fair and comparable to other nail salons I've been to in the past. Absolutely horrible customer service with INSANE prices... I called and asked how much it would be for a full set, almond, French tip. They said around $65-$70... okay sweet! I came in, waited for a minute. Got my nails done. My thumbs are crooked. My middle finger is looks "fat" with how fat the acrylic was layed. They look like shit. Guess how much? Almost $90!!! One nail already broke. And they are already lifting. Came back to get my nails fixed, they said the only person that can is the manager, SHE WAS THE LADY WHO MESSED THEM UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. Since this shop in West Arvada was sold 2.5 years ago it's sadly changed. Went there for 15 years. NEVER AGAIN. The Manager speaks no English, and has no business running a business. She employs a nail tech named Tony. He totally ruined my nails and caused 3 weeks of pain. He's lazy and used the electric grinder till it burned every nail!! I was telling him it hurt several times. He grinded my real nails down to the nail bed... they are so thin you can see the blood underneath the frail nails. I went back a few days and they took pics of the broken shellac nails broken, split and tender. Moving on. Manager/Christine said she would personally fix them and a new set put on. My Nurse/friend said one looks infected no nails... just get them off. Went back yesterday. The Nail beds were so damaged and sore it took 2 hrs. To remove. She- Manager- then said it would be $25 of the $45 she was refunding to do a regular manicure!! I clearly Asked her, " you're not serious right!" My patience was at end. I told her I wanted nothing for their damages but!!! Reporting to State if CO. Licensing division. Sadly, The old Westwood Nails is gone. CAUTION! read more

Been here many times before, and usually really enjoy our experience. Unfortunately today, I had a new gal (her first day) who was using a brand new cheese grater, and cut my toe. I watched the incident happen. She looked away, and as she looked away, the cheese grater took a nice big chunk out of my toe. It took the staff forever to get it to stop bleeding and we worry, a less than sanitary job. The picture shown is in our kitchen sink immediately after going to the salon, hoping to prevent infection. Both my mom and I got a deluxe pedicure, and they charged us full price for the pedicure, only taking $20 off for using shellac so I could clean it. Sadly, we will not be back any longer, and hopefully there is no infection after this incident. We know it was an accident, but, not a relaxing pedicure. Usually it lasts for my many about 5 days and for pedi about few weeks, but I've been told it will not last more then 2 days. My manicure started peeling the next day, so on vacation I had to reapply a color myself. For luxury pedi I didn't have massage as at other places. I wish this place were better. I have gone here several times and have never been impressed. Pros: It is close to my house, reasonably priced and they can always see you right away! I also appreciate that they have everyone wash their hands when they walk in the door. I just get gel manicures and pedicures and they turn out great. Cons: It's dirty, that's a big one! They don't clean their nail stations well between clients and it is just dirty. Two of the times I have been here the nail technicians have cut my cuticles so short they have started to bleed. There are definitely pros and cons, but hardest part for me to deal with is that the place is dirty. read more

Terrible experience - I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! I went in for a pedi and dip nails. I give two stars because my pedi was enjoyable, but my manicure was by far the worst I have ever received. My nails weren't cleaned, my nails were shortened and then they added dip powder. It looked absolutely terrible. Plus there were lots of indentations throughout! I was in tears. I went up to pay, but I just couldn't because they were just awful. They did re-do them for me, but then up charged me for not only adding length, but for them to be cleaned and my cuticles cut. This should have been done in the first place! They should have never uncharged for that! Two of my dip nails popped off within 1.5 weeks, which I read is an indication that my nails weren't prepped correctly - just awful. I go here for my dip regularly and they do decent usually. My mom and I have both had the same guy the last time we went and were less than impressed both times. He made us bleed with the drill and it gets so hot that it burns your skin. That's never happened with another tech before. I was supposed to have a different lady but she said she couldn't do the star for the 4th of July like I wanted so they put me with someone else, who evidently could not do it either. Technician was VERY rough with hands and nails. While filing, my nails felt like they were on fire. 4. They didn't take off previous nail polish all the way 5. Nail technician didn't communicate that the polish I chose would look clear (on the sample, it looked soft pink) 6. The person doing my nails was very rough and did not care if there was still little bits of nail polish on my fingers. Most of the time services are good but you need to make sure you pay before your service as they have on multiple occasions decided to charge a different price than their price sheet. Also be aware if you bring your younger daughters (under 12). They have kid pricing but if you don't tell them they will charge them as adults and add-on fees without asking or perform a service you didn't ask for then charge you.
