I knew I had a toilet that was running and might be causing the issue. I called Superior Mile High Plumbing after reading numerous 5-star reviews. Hector came out the same day and inspected all 3 toilets at my home. He advised that he could fix the issue by replacing the parts inside the running toilet, but that all the toilets are 10 years old and show signs of corrosion in the tanks. I asked him to replace the parts in all 3 toilets, which he did. I was very pleased with his response time, efficiency, and professionalism. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing assistance.

Hector is prompt, pleasant to work with, and seems reasonably priced. However, I urge you to read…read moremy story before you hire him. When my washing machine caused my basement floor drain to back up, I hired Hector to clear the line. When he was done, he said he could not properly replace the wastewater pipe cleanout cap he removed to access the line. A previous repair person had attempted to seal the 3-inch screw-on cap with silicone. Hector said it might leak, but pointed out that even if it did, it was just a few feet from the floor drain. The cap did indeed leak, the very next day.   When I complained via text that sewer water was leaking, he immediately called. He said it was the fault of the previous repair person who used the wrong cap. This was a fact he failed to mention before. When I asked, he said he would email a photo of the correct cap, which he did. He said would only fix the leak for a fee.   Now, after flushing the toilet, I must pour a solution of water and disinfectant to chase the sewer water away. I have a different company coming to properly install the new cap. I have taped the cap on temporarily as you see in the photo. It still leaks. So, to recap: My wastewater pipe cap was not leaking. Hector removed the cap to perform work. He was unable to replace the cap properly. Raw waste (sewer) water is now leaking in my basement. He says it's not his fault.   Hector may be prompt and pleasant, but don't expect him to go the extra mile--not even for a sanitary issue like this one.

I called another company for an estimate, and when they came in and diagnosed the problem they said I needed a water pressure relief valve and a thermal expansion tank. They quoted me a ridiculous price and I sent them on their merry way. I called a friend of mine and asked if he had any recommendations and he referred to Louis at One Stop Plumbing and Drains. I gave him a call and I must say that's one of the best decisions I've ever made when it comes to a plumber. Louis showed up and went through the process of diagnosing the problem and came up with the same as the previous plumber. He quoted me a very reasonable price and I authorized the work. He installed the thermal relief tank and water pressure relief valve in less than two hours and there was not one drip of water anywhere. He also realized that my water heater cold line was connected to the hot water side on the tank. He unconnected it and moved it to the correct side and turned the water heater around and did it at no cost. He was very professional and pleasant in conversation even though we both had masks on. Any plumbing needs I may have in the future, he's my guy and I would recommend One Stop Plumbing and Drains to anyone who has any plumbing issues. Sincere regards, Joe Dural

We then proceeded to get carbon monoxide poisoning the first night in the home (confusion, nausea, headaches, chest pain, severe drowsiness). Gas Emergency crew from Excel inspected the heater, placed a hazard tag on it, and told us the carbon monoxide were at lethal levels and shut off our gas. When we contacted Louis to fix his mistake, he was extremely rude, raised his voice at us, and told us he would "try" to come fix the issue when he had a chance (mind you we had no heat in the middle of winter). When he arrived, 20 hours after we called him, he reportedly "fixed it". As we did not trust him, we had Excel come check the heater again. They placed a yellow tag on it, stating that we could have a potentially lethal leak at any moment and that the workmanship was the worst they had ever seen. Louis is a dangerous person to allow to enter your home or business. His workmanship puts people's lives at risk and greatly damaged our own health.
