I first heard from Nicholas when I posted a job for plumbers on Yelp - no hot water was coming out of the kitchen faucet. The other companies that replied wanted to schedule a visit. Nicholas suggested that the faucet had become clogged with sentiment and, most likely, all that was needed was to replace faucet. I purchased a new faucet and installed it and the problem was solved. I also explained that I had a frozen main drain plug and he suggested I soak it in WD40. Nicholas did not earn anything from me at that time, but I was so impressed with him and his willingness to share basic information that saved me money, I kept his contact information. I was not able to loosen the drain plug so I called him. He worked with my schedule, came over and he was able to remove the frozen plug so I could flush my water heater. Absolutely top-notch response and service! I had a water heater leak emergency this weekend (luckily my daughter was at my home and noticed the leak). Of course, these types of emergencies always happen late at night and on a three day weekend due to Friday being Veteran's Day! I was taking care of my parents so communicated with my daughter on FT. Tried calling the HOA management but no answer. Looked at Yelp and saw Gold Leaf Emergency Plumbers Denver and my daughter called and Nicholas picked up right away. He said he needed authorization to turn off the water to the building (of course my water valve wouldn't shut off!) because it would be a wasted trip and didn't want to charge the after hours service call unnecessarily. Finally we were able to get the HOA management, gave authorization to shut off the water and Nicholas showed up right away. He was able to do a quick fix but said the water pipes and gas lines were unserviceable and no longer met current codes and the water heater was no longer working properly-was filled with a lot of sediment (it was over 12 years old and who knew you have to flush them every year!). He was able to find a great water heater that met the specifications of my utility closet and came the next day to repair the water and gas lines and installed an awesome Bradford White 40 gallon-water heater with minimal shut off of the water to the building. His assistant, Thomas, helped with the install and removal of old water heater. Nicholas and Thomas were very professional, knowledgeable, personable and efficient. The charges were very reasonable and the workmanship was top-notch! So this guy came to my home, he gave me a verbal quote and we were good to go. I was going to give him a check right then and there. I was nice. He went to his truck to get the paperwork. And 30 minutes later he said I'm going to pass. I tried to contact him multiple times and he will not respond. He then ghosted me without responding only to say we do t work for cost in a Yelp review 2 months later. I don't expect people to work for cost at all. Emailed him late Saturday night and he responded in mid-night and setup an appointment on Sunday. The new Bradford White water heater installed on Monday. He got the job done himself and cleaned the area after that. Best price, best work, and the great attitude you can find out there. He is very on-time, professional, nice, and explains every detail so you understand what is going on. Even after a week, we needed re-inspection and he showed up right on-time and did his job and reassured us with his installation. We had a kitchen line that was all backed up. I ran a snake 25ft to clear the pipe and no luck. Tried to open an access plug further down the line. Stuck!! I gave up and requested a quote from Gold Leaf. I gave a detailed description of what was going on in the request. It was very reasonable either way, but we made an appointment for the following afternoon, on a Sunday for no surcharge. Had what we thought was a leaking pipes issue in our laundry room, and called Gold Leaf Plumbers and a couple of others. Nicholas was the first to respond within an hour (cool beans!) and popped on over to check things out. On a Saturday night at 9:30 on Labor Day weekend, we discovered that our hot water heater was leaking. Yesterday we discovered our main water pipe coming into the house was leaking water badly from inside the foundation wall into our basement crawl space. I had a leaking, ancient basement shower fixture that no plumbing supply store could identify. So I called Gold Leaf to replace the old 3-handle fixture with a modern Delta fixture and to install an inline shutoff valve.
