The front office and billing at Westside Endo is reprehensible. I got a root canal retreatment here that failed. I believe Dr. Singh when he said that maybe my tooth was unsalvageable. But this is Dr. Singh's practice and he is responsible for managing the overall operations of the office. Due to the root canal failure the whole procedure had to be re-run through my insurance as a different service at a lower cost. Both their former and new manager were egregiously wrong in their explanations to me about why I shouldn't be (partially) refunded and failed to understand the most basic idea of debits/credits in accounting. It took more than 6 months to receive my refund. This was hours and hours I had to spend calling and detailing how they needed to resolve what should have been a simple accounting task. Ultimately, I get that mistakes are made and it shouldn't be the end of the world, but this office, even when they realized their error, never so much as apologized for the delay or miscommunication or for my time. They *never* responded to any of my emails, though I know they were received, and I never once heard from the doctor. I felt compelled to write this due to their utter lack of basic courtesy. I will never return here and caution anyone who goes here to understand your charges ahead of time, keep all your paperwork, and be prepared for frustrating conversations if anything goes awry. read more

Have had 3 root canals over the years and the referral is always to Dr. Singh. Have never experienced any post root canal problems. Truly a gifted surgeon with a very pleasant personality. Both he and his chair assistant do everything possible to make you feel at ease with as little discomfort at humanly possible. Look no further for a caring specialist dentist. read more

I have horrible teeth and have needed 10 root canals in my life so far for various reasons. Dr Singh has done every single one of them. He is absolutely amazing and has taken such great care of me over the years. I went to an emergency dentist, they told me I needed the tooth pulled, well Dr Singh was able to save and fix my tooth without having to pull it. Even my regular dentist showed me the X-rays and complimented that Dr Singh did the perfect root canal. I highly recommend him and even when I couldn't afford treatment he helped me with a payment plan. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do a root canal on me but him! read more

I would give 10 stars if possible! Dr Singh worked magic on my root canal. I first went to emergency dentist in Vancouver who had zero chair side manner. Awful! This is why dentists have such a terrible reputation! I've been in the dental field for over 10 years and I've never come across such an outrages billing system like what they have at Westside Endo. My husband went in for an exam code 0140 (Limited Exam) and a 0220 (Single X-Ray) this is typical for any new patient with a tooth ache. He thought the office and Dr. was fine, Dr. even recommended a implant because he didn't think he could save the tooth. We appreciated his honesty. About 2 weeks later we get a bill for $259.00 They added a code 0460 (Pulp test) For all the non dental people, this is a bottle that they order for about $14 called (endo ice) the dr. sprays a tiny bit on a Q-Tip and holds it on the patients tooth, to simply tell if the nerve is alive or dead. They are charging $110 for this! This is 100% OUTRAGEOUS! Again, this is THE reason dentists have such a bad reputation. I'm in dental marketing, I LOVE dentists and usually try to defend them and make people see that they do good. However, when the office manager is billing patients these kind of fees for simple tests that should be included in their Exam I'm going to say something about it, in hopes to spare someone from going there. I knew that they were not IN Network with our Aetna Insurance, that's fine. I was prepared to pay what they didn't for our Exam and Single X-ray. But to find this ADA code added to our bill to benefit the Office Managers bonus at the end of the month is WRONG! Christine Johnson if your going to sign your name at the end of these bills you send to patients you better be ready to receive some questions on your moral ability to run a front office. Some dentists don't really know what and how billing works in their own offices so I hope that Dr. Steven Singh is aware of what you charge his patients. Please do LOT's of research before going to this office. To me the front office biller is almost as important as the one doing the clinical work. read more

I took my Daughter who is a fearful patient in for the first of 2 Root Canals. Dr. Singh and his Assistant were so nice, and patient as my daughter was anxious, and very much afraid of needles. They took their time and walked her through every step. Once they got her through the numbing she did great, Not only is Dr. a great Endodontic he is also a very nice Guy and his assistant is very knowledgeable and very kind also. We will be back next week for the next Tooth and my Daughter will be less anxious due to the positive experience she received yesterday. After being in excruciating pain for about a week and a half, I was referred to Dr. Singh for a root canal. I arrived completed exhausted, in pain, and likely looking like something resembling a zombie following little food or sleep for a week. Dr. Singh immediately assured me he would take the pain away, he very quickly worked on doing a couple of tests on the tooth and made it a priority to numb my mouth to give me the relief I needed. He completed the root canal efficiently and quickly, making helpful commentary along the way so I knew how things were going. It was completely painless, and after such a long time with searing tooth pain, the root canal was about the most pleasant thing that happened to me this week. Dr. Singh (and his assistant, I think her name was Briar?) was so comforting, friendly, and really attentive to my issues. I will never get a root canal anywhere else. My Dentist Dr. Alan Montrose, referred me to Dr. Singh for a root canal. I had to get in right away, and was in the chair in an hour (okay, some luck here). The staff there are professional and friendly. I was in and out in 30 minutes, same for the follow-up. He's a terrific person and outstanding professional. His equipment is state of the art as well. I had a tooth that cracked and had to get a root canal. My general dentist sent me to Dr. Singh. I was worried about the procedure since I never had one before, but knew that Dr. Singh has a great reputation. When I got to the office the staff was professional and ready to take me back. They assessed my case quickly and got to work. The procedure was painless and very quick! I was worried that it would be a bad experience and happily surprised that it was so easy. Dr. Singh obviously knows what he is doing! And it is a good thing I was in an expert's office because he showed me the roots in the x-ray and it looked complicated! Very happy with the experience and would go back in a heart-beat if I needed another root canal. read more

You would think after working in the dental field for 27 years, I would be the last one to think that I would need a root canal. I was right, I didn't need a root canal, I needed 3! Our office has referred several hundreds of patients to Dr. Singh and I would always hear how awesome the overall experience was. I didn't hesitate to refer myself when the time came. I was impressed! Dr. Singh was very caring and compassionate and definitely is an expert in his work! His staff is amazing. A very professional office! So- according to my daughter the dentist was awesome. My problem was with his staff- namely a billing woman named Christina. When a provider does not accept your insurance its nice if they tell you up front that you are going to have to pay for their services--nearly every provider does this. They knew before my daughter saw the dentist that they were not in her network. He saw her for less than ten minutes and we ended up with a bill for several hundred dollars and insurance won't pay. I called to see if they could negotiate the bill down? nope-- they won't. I asked why they didn't tell her her insurance wasn't accepted? not our problem- you should know about your own insurance- true, but it starts to look like a set up. They knew going in we'd have to pay, said nothing, then charged us over $400 for ten minutes of his time. Christina had total attitude--would not admit fault, culpability, did not seem to care about our plight, so although I would say dentist is great, office staff is abrasive and belligerent. Unless you are independently wealthy- go elsewhere, or make sure you are covered there upfront which you probably aren't since they aren't on any insurance panels. That would keep them from charging exorbitant prices---and they aren't willing to do that. It's all about the money here and Christina is abrasive and unapologetic about their billing practices. read more
