He explained everything to me and frequently checked in with me to see how I was doing throughout the procedure. He was attentive to detail, thorough, and so proficient. His assistant was also amazing. She was cheerful and calming. She reassured me along the way which was comforting. She, too, explained parts of the process helping me feel like there would be no surprises. The front office staff was also amazing. They were cheerful and engaging. They never made me feel like my many questions were ever a bother. They explained the whole payment process and after care instructions thoroughly. The entire office helps you feel like an individual and not a number. They all conduct themselves in such a way that you feel they are ready and happy to help you with the problem you have. The entire process, from making my appointment to leaving the office with my after care instructions, was phenominal!

She explained everything in-depth before the procedure and throughout (informing me before a noise or feeling the pressure). She was extremely gentle, reassuring, and efficient. She told me that I should've created my account before the appointment. I told her I was unaware, I was sorry and I really appreciate her doing this. She wouldn't even look at me. She told me I always mention that on the phone when you make your appointment you must've missed it. I work in HR. I am a very organized person. I made the appointment in my office and had a pen and paper in hand to record all details. Payment was not mentioned during that phone call. I am aware I should've asked when I booked my appointment but my previous office said everyone has care credit and I shouldn't have any problems. She said in a nasty tone that she would need more my ss#, I said no problem I'm ready when you are. She would wait to ask me questions when I was walking away to grab my ID or a tissue. I eventually asked her do you need more information from me or are we good, so that I can talk to her face to face. The whole energy in the office was so off. It felt like an angry older sister that was screwing with me. Saying very polite sentences in a passive aggressive tone. It's really all confusing and unprofessional. I am very scared of needles and was on the verge of tears the whole time I was in the office. I was polite. I don't understand why a person would treat someone so cruel. I will die of a tooth infection before I would ever go back. I can't trust the doctor if the receptionist is going to treat me so poorly. I'm reconsidering my main dentist office now because they referred me here. Such a horrible experience. My fiancé called the office afterwards to talk with the practice manager and it was the same receptionist who answered. She hung up on him twice just for asking that question. Now she won't answer the phone. My fiancé was not rude or hostile with her at all, but she continued to hang up on him. I have never had a medical office knowingly hang up on someone, multiple times, and then refuse to answer when they are just asking to speak with someone. This is the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed from a medical office! Truly an insane experience. There are plenty of endodontist's around. Look into other offices and don't blindly take a referral like I did.

On Friday, May 23, knowing we are about to go into a three day holiday weekend I was panicked…read morecalling around, trying to get in to see an endodontist because the day before I had gone to an emergency dentist for some really bad pain and they told me I needed a root canal to treat a broken tooth. I had never had a root canal or anything like this before so I was navigating this very painful and very scary thing for the first time. I must've called 20 different offices trying to get some relief because Friday morning when I woke up, the pain was excruciating. I called the Oregon Endodontic Group and I was lucky enough to get Emily in the office on the phone. Knowing they had a packed schedule, heading into an extended holiday weekend she put me on hold two different times in attempt to help me. She was unable to guarantee me anything, but told me she would take my Information and call me if someone canceled. After many more calls, my phone rang and it was Emily. She told me she couldn't guarantee me a root canal, but that she would figure something out and told me to head down and that they would try to squeeze me in, in-between appointments. As I called many places desperately seeking help, I didn't get anyone to give me the time of day, but she (Emily) had clearly put in extra work and care to help me. As a result, she was able to get me in a chair and eventually evaluated by the Endodontist. Dr. Tarsa suggested I have the tooth extracted as she felt like there was a good chance it couldn't be saved. I actually had an appointment with another endodontist to have the root canal done on Tuesday but Dr. Tarsa clearly had my best interests at heart which I viewed as showing honesty and integrity. She doesn't do extractions so I was worried about having to wait through the weekend again as I would need to see an oral surgeon for this. Emily was back in my corner calling surgeons trying to get me in. Finally, she got an oral surgeon across town to agree to squeeze me in which was a miracle. I went across town to Three Rivers Oral Surgery and they got me in right before they closed (they stayed late for me). In a world where it is sometimes a challenge to find someone that truly care's for the customer, Emily was my savior. I could tell during my first phone call to the office. She wanted to help me. I don't actually think anyone canceled, I think she continued to advocate for me after my call and promptly called me back. If it wasn't for her, it would've been a painful and rough weekend for me. Instead, I had a pain-free wonderful weekend with my family. Words can't describe how much I appreciate her care and efforts to help me. If everyone in the medical industry had office personnel like her the world would be a better place. From the bottom of my heart Emily, thank you.
