Aside from their great dental work, they really seem to care about people. I know that one of the dentists goes on missions in foreign countries to help the poor with basic dentistry. They also take patients that are part of the Oregon Plan (low income folks). One of my teeth became such a problem that all of a sudden, I needed to find a dentist fast! Not only was I lucky to find someone close that could see me quickly, but it ends up that every visit since has been just great. The office staff is helpful and friendly, the hygienists are caring, and the doctor is really fun and just happens do amazing work! Even when I was super nervous, the doctor and his staff were able to help me through it all with no problems! The office staff helped me navigate my insurance coverage even though doing so was a troublesome and tricky process. I ran into an issue with my supplemental insurance and when I needed to obtain information from the office, it was a matter of continuing to follow up with them to make sure I eventually got what I needed. Now that my problem teeth have been taken care of, I can focus on preventative care. It is such a good feeling to know that if I do have any serious needs down the road, I can trust that I will receive the quality of work I need, all while sitting in a comfy chair!

I was able to get the root canal done just a few days afterwards, so no problems there. Dr. Barry is super personable and my procedure was virtually pain free. His assistants ( I met 2) were very nice and made my experience the best that it could have possibly been under the circumstances. So why the 3 stars? The 3 women at the front desk are just...cold and unpleasant to deal with. Never have I met less friendly and accomodating front office staff at a dental office. I am shocked that Dr. Barry, given his personality, allows for such attitude from the people who are the face of his practice. I am also taking a star off because his fees are pretty high. He does not offer cash discounts and almost $500 for the initial exam is just too much, in my opinion.

He and his staff are very laid back and personable. The front desk staff is quite thorough and had to search for openings on their packed schedule. Dr. Tran is very gentle. It doesn't hurt at all. He uses new techniques, tools and treatments for preventing dental problems before they happen. I wished that I found him sooner. Upon my first check out, the front desk staff gave me a choice of a black or canvas tote bag with their logo on it (no words - except discretely on the inside) I'm loving Dr. Tran being my new dentist.
