Eight years later, we currently have a 7th grader, 4th grader, and 1st grader at this amazing school. The bedrock of this organization is hand down the TEACHERS! Of the 20+ teachers and numerous coaches that have taught or guided my children, each one has been a blessing to my entire family. The leadership and staff love the Lord, and work to disciple each individual student. Whether my child is having a phenomenal day or in need of guidance and discipline, we feel like the teachers see our children for who God created them to be. My husband I are incredibly thankful that we are able to partner with this school in providing our kids with a rigorous, Christ-centered education. Our children began at BCA when it was just a K-4th grade school, but now that we have a growing upper school it is very fun to be able to add sports. My kids are athletic and competitive, and I cannot wait to watch them participate in the flourishing athletics program under coaches that are focused on glorifying Christ through hard work and sportsmanship. It's truly an amazing school and I pray it blesses the community of Katy for generations to come.

From the moment you walk through the doors, there is a true sense of community that makes everyone feel welcomed and valued. Parents are seen as essential partners in the educational journey, and the school actively encourages family engagement through regular communication, events, and volunteer opportunities. Academically, Berean holds high standards and inspires a love of learning through dynamic, challenging, and personalized instruction. My boys are thriving in an environment where teachers not only deliver an outstanding curriculum, but also cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and a desire for lifelong learning. Students learn the values of kindness, empathy, responsibility, and respect. There's an emphasis on guiding students to become individuals of extraordinary morals and strong beliefs. This foundation shapes not only confident learners, but also thoughtful, ethical citizens who are prepared to lead and serve. If you're looking for a school that nurtures the mind, heart, and spirit--where children are not just taught but truly inspired-- Berean Christian Academy is a place where your child will thrive. I can say from personal experience that this school has been a blessing to our family.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE OF A SCHOOL!!!! My toddler was enrolled…read morehere for THIRTY days! I should have read the poor reviews before considering this school. From the very beginning it was chaotic. At orientation the principal announces that the pre-k teacher was no longer employed, and they were putting in two interim teachers who had been with the school for years. School started the following week so of course by this time it's too late to find your child a different placement. First week of school both interim teachers quit in the middle of the week, which led to two pre-k classes being combined and being taught by the teacher's aide. They then hired an uncertified "pre-k teacher" with only a high school diploma. Of course I wanted to meet her so I walk my child into the classroom and the new teacher just stands there, not even attempting to greet me or my child. After standing there for several minutes I decided to go ahead and introduce myself and my child. Second week of school I notice my child's lunch keeps coming home untouched, which was odd because I packed all his favorite foods. I then realized the school was not assisting him in opening the containers, so he was going from 7:45am-5:45pm with no food just a snack. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they denied not opening the containers, however, after that conversation I noticed his containers would come back with the food eaten. The following week I noticed when he would have toileting accidents, he would come home in someone else's pull-up even though I would pack additional underwear and pull-ups in his backpack. One day I picked him up from school and he reeked of urine. When I changed his clothes, I noticed he had on a dry pull-up, was put back in the urinated pants, but his change of clothes was still in his backpack. On his fourth week, the school had the audacity to call CPS on my family with claims of physical abuse. On this day I went to the school to pick up my child and was approached by a CPS investigator. Two nights prior my toddler decides to climb into my infant's activity chair and gets his legs stuck inside causing a bruise on his legs. Thank goodness I have cameras throughout my home and was able to share the video footage of the incident from start to finish with the investigator where it shows how it took me five minutes to pry him out of the chair, and me putting ice packs on his legs to try and reduce the swelling and bruising. The investigators statement was "this was just a boy being a boy," (my exact thoughts). However, the thought of what could have happened had I not had that footage is devastating. Not to mention both my fiancé and I hold professional state licenses working with children. The issues this could have caused us professionally had we not had video proof is insurmountable. To add more to the embarrassment and humiliation the investigator had to do her due diligence of contacting my nanny and other friends of the family for statements. If you are a parent looking for a nurturing, positive learning environment where your child will flourish and has a low staff turnover, I recommend finding a school with trained, certified, and professional staff.

They are still owned by the same people it seems. Back then there was already a high teacher turnover rate and my experiences here ultimately pushed me away from religion altogether. I endured relentless bullying after 5th grade including from staff's children and older students, while teachers looked the other way. I also dealt with derogatory name-calling and shaming from both peers and staff. In 7th grade I was pressured into signing a contract without my parents' knowledge after administrators decided I wasn't "the kind" they wanted at their school. What triggered the contract in the first place was my MySpace at the time. I had a tank top on in my profile picture that supposedly accentuated my chest mind you I was 12. Eventually I was expelled, for something as small as kissing a boy on the cheek, while far more serious behavior from other students were overlooked. Looking back, I wish my parents had never paid tuition here. I found more peace, acceptance, and quality education in Katy ISD public schools than I ever did at this private school. Save your money, and if you are set on private school, try anywhere but here. They don't advocate or empathize with their students. You either fit their mold or you're an outcast.

The experience varies tremendously based on each teacher for elementary but we've been very fortunate with excellent teachers. The math program is very good. Students are given the opportunity to skip grades it capable. Class sizes are very small (often 10 or less per grade) and kids receive plenty of individual attention. However, like any school, parent involvement is still important. The facilities could use upgrades and the restrooms would benefit from being kept cleaner.
