Eight years later, we currently have a 7th grader, 4th grader, and 1st grader at this amazing school. The bedrock of this organization is hand down the TEACHERS! Of the 20+ teachers and numerous coaches that have taught or guided my children, each one has been a blessing to my entire family. The leadership and staff love the Lord, and work to disciple each individual student. Whether my child is having a phenomenal day or in need of guidance and discipline, we feel like the teachers see our children for who God created them to be. My husband I are incredibly thankful that we are able to partner with this school in providing our kids with a rigorous, Christ-centered education. Our children began at BCA when it was just a K-4th grade school, but now that we have a growing upper school it is very fun to be able to add sports. My kids are athletic and competitive, and I cannot wait to watch them participate in the flourishing athletics program under coaches that are focused on glorifying Christ through hard work and sportsmanship. It's truly an amazing school and I pray it blesses the community of Katy for generations to come.

A certain snotty school pretty much passed on us because of my child's needs and I was forced to accept that we might need a "special" school. Sad and nervous, I set up an appointment for a parent tour the next day. Whether we get in or not, I can honestly give them five stars for the work they are doing. Where we've never felt like we fit in, there was a school where we could. This school is K-8 and just off of Montrose at Chelsea. Their goal appears to be to give children the ability to learn and develop skills in a safe environment with the intention of getting the kids back mainstreamed. It was crystal clear immediately that these people have the best intentions and the knowledge to fulfill those intentions well. This place is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but it is clear where the tuition goes. The ratio of teachers to kids is incredibly low and the children and staff alike seem happy. Ah, I forgot what that looked like. Best of all, the school was filled with kids just like mine. He was very relieved to finally be in the class and not stick out like a sore thumb. I don't know whether we'll be here in the fall, but I would highly recommend Joy to any parent whose child's needs aren't being met in a classroom setting due to ADHD, Tourettes, Autimism or the like. Check it out and cross your fingers

Sure there can be issues at the school, but compared to having you children in one of the fully…read morepublic schools this is so much better. The public schools are glorified babysitters, they don't teach critical thinking or how to make it in life. They only teach how to graduate and make the school money. Aristoi is so much better than this. I have had 4 children attend through middle school and then go to public high school. Each one comes home saying how unprepared these kids are. Aristoi requires parents to be involved in their kids education, which is the key to children success. It is a difficult school, but worth the 10 mile drive there and back we make every day.

I wanted to like aristoi but every interaction i had with staff did not end well. First occurrence,…read morewe went to pick up car tags but nobody was there. There was an emergency so the lady had to leave. I let that go because accidents and emergencies happen. Second occurrence, we had issues with setting up the school cafe and was told a contact to reach out to. We reached out several times and got no response. When i called the office, i was told they received a lot of calls like this but i was the one who was the most upset. I was told my child would be fed regardless of the school cafe issue. Well guess what, he wasn't. He was eating his snack at lunch then had no snack at snack time. It took me writing the dean to finally get the issue fixed after 2 weeks. The teacher wrote a new behavior report every day. Never once did she try to contact us to create a plan on how we can work together. She would send him to recovery every single day. We then got a call to speak with the head of elementary. while on the phone, my son somehow cut his finger. THREE adults were in the room at the time and not 1 could tell me how he cut his finger. At the meeting, there was no plan on how we can work together. During the meeting, they wanted my 5 year old son to sit in a room by himself while we had our meeting. This upset me because why make a 5 year old sit in a room by himself?!? We were asked what other options we have considered. We made the decision to withdraw from aristoi. It is clear that they do not want to work with students who have a hard time transitioning. Rather than understand the student, they rather cast them away. 0/10 would never recommend.
