***THIS COMPANY HAS TURNED OFF ALL REVIEW CAPABILITIES ON GOOGLE***…read more This 5-star review is for the incredible women who worked at COA Fulshear. They cared for our children as if they were their own and truly became like family to so many of us. The teachers and staff created a loving, safe environment that my family trusted every day, and I will always be grateful for them. What makes this so heartbreaking is that on June 16, families and staff were notified that the school would permanently close on June 26--giving everyone barely over a week to prepare. Families are now scrambling to find childcare, while many dedicated employees are left facing uncertainty about how they'll provide for their own families. While I have nothing but appreciation for the teachers and front-line staff, I am deeply disappointed in the decision by COO Tammy Dagey and company leadership to handle the closure this way. A decision of this magnitude deserved far more notice and consideration for both the families who rely on this center and the employees whose livelihoods depend on it. The staff deserve 5 stars. They were the heart of this school. This review reflects my gratitude for them and my sadness and frustration with how this closure was handled. My heart breaks for the children, families, and employees affected by this decision.

I enrolled my daughter at this Montessori school and removed her approximately 3.5 hours into her…read morevery first day because I was extremely concerned by what I personally observed. While watching the classroom cameras, I observed teachers spending extended periods engaged in conversation with each other instead of actively engaging with and supervising the children. I observed staff members on their phones, a teacher leave the classroom while children remained inside, and a teacher sitting at the desk while there appeared to be very little engagement or instruction taking place. Most concerning to me was watching an older child repeatedly swing at a smaller child while I did not see appropriate intervention from staff. When I arrived to pick up my daughter, I also personally witnessed teachers sitting on the same table where the children were eating their lunch. I saved the video footage documenting what I observed and sent the videos directly to the director. Despite providing that documentation, I have not received any meaningful follow-up regarding the safety and supervision concerns I raised, nor have I received a resolution regarding the full refund I requested. When I requested my refund, I was referred to the school's policy requiring 30 days' notice in order to receive the deposit back and requiring the child to remain enrolled during that notice period. I understand having a 30-day policy for a normal withdrawal, but this was not a normal withdrawal or simply a change of mind. I removed my daughter approximately 3.5 hours into her first day because of what I personally observed. There is absolutely no way I would leave my child in an environment I no longer felt comfortable with for another 30 minutes simply to satisfy a policy, much less another 30 days. What is particularly concerning to me is that the school's own policies also state that staff members are not supposed to be on their phones, yet I have video footage of staff using their phones during the time my daughter was there. I find it difficult to understand how the 30-day policy can be strictly enforced against a parent while the concerns I documented regarding staff conduct and supervision have not been addressed. I believe the circumstances surrounding my daughter's immediate withdrawal should be taken into consideration when determining whether the standard 30-day withdrawal policy applies. My daughter's safety comes before a deposit or tuition payment. I am sharing this experience because other parents deserve to know what I personally observed and how my concerns were handled so they can make their own informed decision about where they leave their children.

When I first started, I was a little hesitant being this was my child's first childcare but I was greeted by the amazing management team Claudia, Tina, and Linda. I would come in, and Linda would always assure me that it might start off rough but it would get better. Her constant checks on my daughter eased my worries. Unfortunately, today I have been informed that she is no longer apart of the building, which is so sad to hear. Certainly she was not fired for anything if she was allowed to continue the full work day, which I feel is very unprofessional and even the hardest thing ever for her. This quickly changed my view on this Lighthouse. They have no care on how things affect people, parents, or children. They also do not even care how we the parents feel when making drastic decisions to our children's lives, when we are the ones keeping the business afloat.
