There was zero teaching and principal experience with the replacement and would barely qualify as a kindergarten teacher in the public system. They openly talk about underpaying teachers which explains the lack of quality in how they teach. The executive director is extremely arrogant and rude and criticized our student in the most demeaning way via email that would cost any public school employee their job. I would research the qualifications of the new head of school before considering West Lake. I don't see the value in paying $18,000 for a school that is run by someone that is nowhere near qualified.

They focus more on academics and they have a very diverse student body. Most teachers are great (not all) and many do have accents so if that bothers you, this school is not for you. Kids are equally treated & parent involvement is important. Mr. Bilge is amazing & any concern that I have ever brought to him, he has immediately addressed it. Teachers care about their students & staff are helpful & friendly to students (other schools typically are not). Academically it is much harder than public school but with small class size and loving and dedicated teachers, she is learning how to study and learn. Their drama department is amazing and we are delighted that she has had the privilege of learning under Ms. Cookie, who has directed musical and drama groups and inspires every child to excellence. Each child chooses an instrument and gets to play in the band very quickly. The loving spirit of the school is nurturing in every way and parents are sent notes when their child has been especially helpful and kind.
