She creates an environment that is unseen in the Cinco and Katy preschool / Montessori school circuit. These decisions of where to put your child to give them the best opportunity in Katy ISD are daunting. But now I don't have a single worry when I drop my son off. I know that every day he walks through those doors and every afternoon that I pick him up he will have grown and felt cared for and loved. As a parent it's the only hope we can have. The public schools are glorified babysitters, they don't teach critical thinking or how to make it in life. They only teach how to graduate and make the school money. Aristoi is so much better than this. I have had 4 children attend through middle school and then go to public high school. Each one comes home saying how unprepared these kids are. Aristoi requires parents to be involved in their kids education, which is the key to children success. It is a difficult school, but worth the 10 mile drive there and back we make every day.

There was an emergency so the lady had to leave. I let that go because accidents and emergencies happen. Second occurrence, we had issues with setting up the school cafe and was told a contact to reach out to. We reached out several times and got no response. When i called the office, i was told they received a lot of calls like this but i was the one who was the most upset. I was told my child would be fed regardless of the school cafe issue. Well guess what, he wasn't. He was eating his snack at lunch then had no snack at snack time. It took me writing the dean to finally get the issue fixed after 2 weeks. The teacher wrote a new behavior report every day. Never once did she try to contact us to create a plan on how we can work together. She would send him to recovery every single day. We then got a call to speak with the head of elementary. while on the phone, my son somehow cut his finger. THREE adults were in the room at the time and not 1 could tell me how he cut his finger. At the meeting, there was no plan on how we can work together. During the meeting, they wanted my 5 year old son to sit in a room by himself while we had our meeting. This upset me because why make a 5 year old sit in a room by himself?!? We were asked what other options we have considered. We made the decision to withdraw from aristoi. It is clear that they do not want to work with students who have a hard time transitioning. Rather than understand the student, they rather cast them away. 0/10 would never recommend.

We visited the other learning centers and quite honestly, they felt like I was going in to buy a gym membership. It was more about the pushy sales, bottom line and I felt like my child was more about there business plan to make dollars for the year. I didnt feel any compassion or true love for helping my child get through her challenges. After much research, I accidently ran across Tudor Doctor and called. The owner Parker was very helpful, extremely caring about the needs of my child and genuinely felt like she wanted to help and cared for my childs well being. We set up an in home appt and I felt the same when I wrote the check to start the sessions. This company is different. Parker took the time to get to know my child, her needs and is working to find a tutor to match her needs and my childs character. I am feeling great about this opportunity and will report back.....I just feel it had to be said! There are still people who care out there........business is second

The owner, Parker, met with us in our home to talk about my son's needs and to ask exactly what we were looking for in a tutor. By the end of the meeting she already had a tutor in mind. The tutor called me within a day or two to introduce herself and confirm our first session. She worked with my son throughout the summer and really boosted his skills. She was very sweet and kind and patient with him. She had many innovative ideas and activities to help him learn and kept it fun. If she was stuck in traffic or had any kind of problem at all I immediately got a text from her. She was very flexible and worked around our vacation and had no problem when we had to reschedule one day. Each week you receive a report stating exactly what the tutor worked on. It has the date, time of tutoring, and details of the session. With Tutor Doctor you buy tutoring hours for your family, not just a specific person. They can be used on any child in the household, which I think is a great idea. They also come to you, which is a huge time saver. If your child is struggling, give them a call. You will be pleased with the results.

FTM/nervous wreck here:…read more I remember our first visit like it was yesterday. First I called to schedule an appointment and the director was so incredibly warm and informative. When we went to visit she greeting us with smile as the Assistant Director took us around. Ms. Navalon, Ms Claudia, Ms. Safia, Ms Alice, and Ms Carolyn were so accommodating and assured me that my LO was going to be well taken care of. By the end of the walk through, we went over the plans and they encouraged us to visit other centers and let them know. They didn't force us to make a decision and I didn't feel hustled. My LO stayed for 9 months until we moved and I wish with all my heart that I could take the entire staff with me. She loved it and knew when it was a "daycare day". They sent frequent pictures with commentary on her mood, the intake log included how much of each bottle she took, when she was sick and couldn't attend (gut bug, 1st colds etc) they sent messages to make sure she was ok, and they sent home her art projects which was frequent. They have a surplus of age appropriate activities and I could tell my LO was learning. Best of all - for me at least- the staff had no less than 5 years experience. I'd say the average was 9 years with the company and location. They are affordable, the curriculum is amazing and they care for the child as well as the family. I miss their expertise dearly. My significant other wanted to take English classes and she wanted to give this School a try…read moreunfortunately it was a terrible experience and since I covered the classes she asked me to write this. She does not speak English at all so she was told to take the first level for students like her. We spent about $1150 which included 6 books they asked us to buy. This is what happened My girlfriend said the instructor spent hours talking and that she only used 2 out of the six books they told us to buy, she was stressed out and frustrated the entire 6 weeks, that is not teaching, that is not what I paid for. We reached out to the owner and he told me that she was not a kid that could speak for herself, unfortunately she does not speak the language yet thus she asked me to assist her, I did but it seems as though he ignored us. In sum, we have asked in both languages to get a 50% refund and so far the owner ignores the request. My girlfriend said they told her the owner offered for her to retake the course at no charge, that in itself implies they acknowledged that something went wrong. She said there was no way she will go through that bad experience again. Perhaps their method is very good, seems like the instructor did not follow it. The request is simple, since we did not get what I paid, we want 50% refund. This review so far is a very negative one as the issue has not been addressed. Maria Y Gerardo
