She creates an environment that is unseen in the Cinco and Katy preschool / Montessori school circuit. These decisions of where to put your child to give them the best opportunity in Katy ISD are daunting. But now I don't have a single worry when I drop my son off. I know that every day he walks through those doors and every afternoon that I pick him up he will have grown and felt cared for and loved. As a parent it's the only hope we can have. Parents, read this before you consider Brain Balance…read more My experience with Brain Balance specifically with Frank Amuto,was stressful, dehumanizing, and completely unacceptable. I chose to cancel after realizing the program is not covered by insurance and is not recognized as evidence-based care by insurers or standard clinical pathways. That was not made clear upfront, and it should have been before any financial commitment. What followed was worse. After cancelling, I was given information about my financing and the bank that did not match what the bank later confirmed directly. There was constant back and forth, conflicting information, and I was being pressured about money I did not owe. At one point, I was told that if I did not pay additional money, I would not receive my financing back. Let that sink in. Frank Amato's behavior escalated the situation. His communication was rude, dismissive, and condescending. He crossed a personal line by questioning my judgment as a parent, including making comments about why I chose to have a child with my child's father. That is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Nothing was resolved until I escalated and brought the bank directly into the conversation to force transparency. Only then did the information finally align, the refund get processed, and the loan get closed. This entire experience created real fear around my finances and my credit -- something no parent should have to deal with, especially while caring for a child with ADHD. For clarity, my child is now doing well and receiving therapy that is evidence-based and covered by insurance. Be extremely careful. Verify everything directly with your lender. Get everything in writing. Do not rely on verbal assurances.

Advise for those looking to enroll in the program ask the following questions to assist you with the rates (it is not cheap), nor is medication. 1 - Ask if the assessment fee be applied toward the program cost if it is determined the program is a good fit 2 - Are there any discounts you can offer you? We were able to save 1500.00 off the program as to they stated there was a beginning of the school year special 3 - If you pay in full is there a discount? We were able to save an additional 10% on the program as well. Also, I have seen some centers offer specials of $85 for the assessment or even a Groupon for them. See if they will work with you because your child is worth it!

School is a place for the kids to have fun and learn. If your child is falling behind, it'll negatively impact their attitude towards school. Honestly, this place has had immense value in helping my child in math. She actually failed her…read moremath class in 2nd grade and we had to find a math tutor to help her not only understand math class concepts, but also to strengthen areas overall. The other goal was to get a better grade. She went from low C's and F's to B+. My child is now going into 5th grade and has consistently gotten B's and the occasional A+. Ms Preti runs this tutoring facility. She is a gracious and kind person. She tested my child (and other children who come to seek tutoring) to see where she was in math for second grade and to assess her strengths & weaknesses. Ms Preti, as well as the tutors she hired, helped my daughter immensely. They're pretty patient and will keep at it until your child understands! It's 2 days a week tutoring; minimum 40 minutes at a time. I've had it where my child was there for two hours. The tuition per month is DIRT CHEAP and of great value. When I say dirt cheap, I'm not trying to diminish what they do there. It has tremendous benefit for the small amount of tuition required each month. This tutoring is year round and it doesn't matter if your child is with Katy ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD...or even home schooled. They will work with you! Expect homework and class corrections sheets to be sent home to do. You can also request extra homework to be sent home to. Ms Preti also gives tests and re-evaluates to see where your child is through out. Recommended for any child who needs help in math.
