This is my favorite library. It has beautiful light, a fantastic collection, and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Ordered 3 drinks and a pizza. Here's the rundown:…read more White Chocolate Mocha - Barely lukewarm and totally undrinkable. Chai Latte - Same issue. No heat, no flavor. Mocha Frappe - The consistency of water and overly sweet. No coffee taste--just sugar and disappointment. Pizza - Dough was raw. Not undercooked--floppy, wet, bite-into-slime raw. We spent nearly $40 on this. We don't live nearby, so coming back wasn't easy but the quality was so bad, we felt like we had no choice. When we returned, we were told we couldn't get a refund without a receipt (which we were never given). Their solution? Complimentary food. As if we'd want more of what we couldn't even eat or drink the first time! This wasn't a cash order, and we were back within the hour--should've been simple to locate in the system. Instead, the employee seemed reluctant to do the work. He ripped a long string of receipts (presumably meant for other customers) and tossed it aside before heading to the back. All the while making it seem like WE were the inconvenience. After some pushback and attitude, we were finally refunded $30 of the $37--and they definitely made a point to take the food back like we were trying to scam them. Service: 0/10 (real training needed) Drinks: 0/10 (no coffee flavor) Food: 0/10 (just -- ick) Not worth the drive, the money, or the hassle. There are too many decent spots to waste your time here. You could even just drive to another Caffè Nero but consumer beware at this one.

I like this location a lot, tucked into an old (but still active) train station. It is very cozy in here and you almost wouldn't know it is a big European chain. I got a double espresso and it was excellent. Although I did not get it on this trip, their chocolate cake is amazing. It was a busy weekday afternoon and there was a line and a full store, but the staff was still very friendly and treated each customer very well.

I drove by here for over a decade and never had the chance to stop but I stopped today The vibe…read moreinside is aged comfort. Marble tables with mismatched chairs and beat up old leather sofas. Chandeliers that have to harken back to much older tenants in this space. The food is good, I had a ham egg and cheese on croissant and it was wonderful. The croissant was surprisingly fresh. The cappuccino was rounded and smooth and didn't taste at all burnt. Service was ok. Polite but not engaging, my cappuccino was forgotten entirely and I had to ask for it again but it was then made promptly. Regulars that came in behind me had a completely different experience. Service was bright and engaging for them. Again, there was nothing BAD about my service, it was just milquetoast and the baristas seemed disinterested. This is definitely a place where people come and linger and there were folks sprawled about the sofas and typing away at the tables. If I lived in Waltham, I's probably make it a staple in my routine. But I did not linger long, I ate my sandwich, sipped half my coffee and took the rest on my way. I have a feeling this is the kind of place that just grows on you overtime, that said, if you need a coffee or tea and a snack on your way, this may be worth a stop.

Just as I said last time--you'd have to be a real Scrooge not to give this place high marks. If you have a little gem like this in your town, you should support it. Also.
