I feel like the lady masseuse was mainly pressing on my pressure points and not focusing on my muscles at all. I didn't feel relieved at all after leaving and felt as sore leaving as I was upon entering. I would not be returning and wish I wouldn't have wasted the time and money on taking my child to daycare so I could get a crap massage.

I get massages 1-2x every month from Asian places as well as higher end spots like Four Seasons. This review is specifically for Li - I got a 90 mins massage from him in the style that they stand on your back and let me tell you it was beyond incredible I have not had a massage this good in over 6 months. It was way too good and I cannot wait to go back. Massage was a decent price in a simple place where they get the job done.

I will see how I feel after a day or so. This massage was deep and slow, with pressure, Scott did explain that the type of massage is slow to let your brain stem connect and relax the muscles. Kind of makes sense and as time passed I did feel my muscles starting to relax. Mixed feelings here as I did miss my massaging part. Towards the end of my session Scott did work on my upper shoulders and neck; this was divine and made it all worth while. To address the canine part I did not mind at all, love my furry family friends, however I am surprised that this is not mentioned on appointment or discussed before the massage. Who knows, I could be highly allergic to canines. Next did not give the 5th star because Groupon was for massage with champagne. Somehow that was missed, and since my therapist (Scott) did tell me during massage that alcohol is not good and sneaks up on you and can really change your prospective in life, I was afraid to ask where my champagne was so left without enjoying any bubbles . Not sure I would go back, but yes I am glad I gave it a try. New experience always a plus.

Maisie had an unusual set up for her massage "spa" inside what appeared to be a garage room with a…read moremassage table. After getting on the massage table, I realized that there was nothing to cover with, only a fitted sheet stretched over the table itself. The room was dimly lit so I didn't mind as much and I just assumed Maisie would bring a sheet or towel when she came in. It turned out that we did the 1 hour massage undraped but since the room was pretty dark it was ok. Maisie is a very skilled and talented therapist and understands the human body quite well. She was very nice and offered me a cold bottle of water to take with me. I still give her a good review although I found the room darkness to be unusual. Nice bodywork Maisie! Look forward to seeing you again!

Today I visited Tranquility Massage Company for a 60 minute massage that I purchased via Groupon…read more Maisie is the owner, and she was very welcoming. It is located in a great spot in South Austin. The space is simple in a small shopping center, and it was very clean with nice decor and a modern feel with a cute design. This is not a fancy spa vibe, so if that is your cup of tea, go elsewhere. It was easy to find free parking. The massage itself was good. Maisie did a great job on my back and neck, which is where I asked her to focus. I liked how she used her forearms in addition to her hands to help stretch tight areas. The massage felt rushed, however, and she only used 50 of the 60 minute time slot. I checked my phone before I got on the bed, and we wrapped up in under 50 minutes. Booking with Maisie was really easy through texting to find a time that worked for both of our schedules. She sends great reminders and also offers deals on booking future massages and add-ons. I feel like if I went back to Maisie I would want a 90 minute massage for the whole experience, as it felt more rushed than I would like for some areas of my body like my legs. Her non-Groupon pricing was higher than I could afford to rebook, which was a bummer as in the past I have met my regular massage therapists via Groupon and kept booking with them. She does offer some specials though for booking in advance, so be sure to ask about that if you like her style.
