I'm the resident manager of an apartment complex, and I had a guy who parked his car in a visitor's space and as he walked away off property, One of my tenants said "you can't park here". The guy flipped him off and walked away. This was on Sunday afternoon. The car sat until Tuesday afternoon, at which time I called estern Towing. The truck showed up about about an hour later, and the truck was a new Ford dually that was impressive! The driver was a clean cut guy with a fresh uniform and was very professional as he had me sign the tow document. He then walked around the car and took pictures in case the owner claimed damages, and then put dollies under the front wheels (front wheel drive) to pull the car out where he could properly hook it up. He then hooked it up and left the cab of the truck several times to check that the hook up was correct. This was a first class towing episode, and I don't know if I should applaud the driver or the company, but someone deserves accolades. . read more

This company just towed my daughter's car on Halloween night. She stopped by briefly to pick up a friend and her friend told her to park in her permitted parking spot. Gina (front street location) is a nasty rude person, clearly miserable and unhappy in life (I can see why). All we wanted to do was simply get our car back after a WRONGFUL TOW from our condo and the entire time she was rude, had an attitude and was telling us to just pay or leave. This happened to my daughter who was told she was not required to have a permit at her apartment (also not mentioned in the lease agreement ) and later told by, after towing, by management she was. Thieves and liars Scraped bumper and rendered a part of my car so damaged that I could barely drive it off the tow lot. They gouged me for $400 after stealing my car out it's properly designated spot at an apartment complex. Had to call triple a to come remove the part before I could drive 10 feet from the tow yard as it was scraping the ground so badly making sparks. Acted like it was already like that I asked to make a claim against them. The bearded limping man that runs the yard at night said I would receive a call in 10-15 days and refused to give me a copy of the claim number or report. They also said they took a photo of how they claimed the vehicle was in spot 56 and not 55 but would not prove it to me. Said "it's a civil matter". Aside from that, you will loose 4 hrs of work just to retrieve your car, meaning penalty fee $230 + storage fee $60 +$100 after office hrs pickup+ $150 for not going to work. My Tesla had captured this from the camera's within the car, as a tow truck pulled in just minutes after my car was parked in one of these spots. The total cost was $398 for them to release the vehicle after driving the car home I realized the panel underneath was damaged and was scrapping my tire as I turn the wheel. I have been parking in red for the past year keep in mind where I park is PUBLIC street parking . They said they're only a PRIVATE property parking . This towing company towed my car from my apartment complex supposedly for not having a permit even though I have a valid parking permit and the apartment complex has all my vehicle information. Then they are only open from 8am-5pm to pick up you car, which is most people's regular working hours. When I was finally able to get time off of work to pick up my car the old man working there was trying to lecture me about why my car got towed. The fact that they let an UNAUTHORIZED person who doesn't own, work for, or is even the property manager allow a car to be towed from a property she rents using government welfare checks she recieves on "disability" - all she had to do was claim she is the property manager on the phone without any proof or written consent - and they come right up and tow your vehicle. The FACT THAT I HAD TO PROVE that I am AUTHORIZED TO EVEN SEE and PICK UP THE CAR the amount of work and effort to collect the information and paperwork to PROVE that I can claim the car...took more effort than the B* that called to have my car towed. So what you're trying to say is that I can call any Western Towing company claiming i was the person in charge and have cars towed for no real reason? I called Western Towing company line to check on their towing procedure, the person on the other line did in fact verify that when they recieve calls to tow cars, the ask for authorization - SO I asked, they why was a POS redneck on welfare who doesn't even work because she collects disability, medicare, and welfare to pay her rent, allow for my car to get towed? Just because she receives money from the government doesn't mean she works for the government. What kind of accreditation does one need to prove that they are authorized to make those types of calls? All she had to say was "Yes I am the manager" so you're telling me, I can call and say "I am the manager" and have anybody's car towed at my own whim? They came out from our AAA VIp Membership. They did not pick up our 2011 Scion because it didn't have a hook. If it didn't have a hook we had to hook it up ourselves. My friend got my vehicle towed. I called the towing company and was greeted over the phone very politely and they answered all my questions. I went to pick up the vehicle from the impound lot (7182 El Cajon blvd) and I was treated with respect and throughly informed of the process and how long it would take. 15 minutes later, I left with my vehicle. Clerk was very nice, quick and I had zero issues. Car was not damaged. They charged $225 for the initial tow and $60 per day so it was $285 total to recover the vehicle. 8-9 years ago I remember paying more than that from another company. You need a state ID and your current car registration to get your vehicle back. My reg was in the glove box. Clerk let me retrieve it no problem. I just appreciate they made it as painless as possible and didn't damage my vehicle. I couldn't ask for more from an unfortunate situation. read more
