They towed my U-Haul while I was moving out, right outside of my apartment building. What type of person do you have to be to tow a U-Haul outside of an apartment building. Absolute scammers with no hearts. Left 5 stars so these idiots can see it and read it and hopefully makes them sad. read more

If possible I would leave zero stars. every single person I spoke to was absolutely RUDE. Mind you, I'm the one who got the car towed. I was just asking where I can enter the premises at. the Guy said yeah it's supposed to be that way. And u have to wait outside the gate till they are ready for you. it was 100 degrees today. the man inside the gat said wait in your car. what car I had to get dropped off by u er bc I have only one car! read more

This company just towed my daughter's car on Halloween night. She stopped by briefly to pick up a friend and her friend told her to park in her permitted parking spot. Next thing you know, they walk out to the car and it's gone. They want $500 to release the car. This company must circle around college students apartments looking for cars to tow. Very unethical business with predatory towing tactics!! read more

Gina (front street location) is a nasty rude person, clearly miserable and unhappy in life (I can see why). All we wanted to do was simply get our car back after a WRONGFUL TOW from our condo and the entire time she was rude, had an attitude and was telling us to just pay or leave. She also refused to give us ANY information, mind you, I am entitled to the towing report under California Vehicle Code § 22658(l)(1)(C). She needs to know her CVC's and get a better attitude if she continues to work in customer service. read more

Wow I see lots of negative reviews for this company towing cars in the middle of the night from apartments as a cash grab. This happened to my daughter who was told she was not required to have a permit at her apartment (also not mentioned in the lease agreement ) and later told by, after towing, by management she was. This kind of thing needs the attention of the San Diego District Attorney and the California Attorney General's office and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She is nearly 9 months pregnant and this has caused a lot of unnecessary stress read more

this company towed a neighbors called and had no record of a towing, no automation but gave my name as a HOA as consent. I was told no cars were called or reported from the HOA? I was told at 11 years ago I was an HOA president and they used my information to consent that any illegal parking was informed by the HOA. they hire excons to work for them and I am canceled them. read more

These guys could be a lot more judicious with the people they tow for. Let's not tow from unmarked spots with no signs just because the ill-mannered owners of a failing business are upset their neighboring tenants have clients and they don't. read more

Thieves and liars Scraped bumper and rendered a part of my car so damaged that I could barely drive it off the tow lot. They gouged me for $400 after stealing my car out it's properly designated spot at an apartment complex. Had to call triple a to come remove the part before I could drive 10 feet from the tow yard as it was scraping the ground so badly making sparks. Acted like it was already like that I asked to make a claim against them. The bearded limping man that runs the yard at night said I would receive a call in 10-15 days and refused to give me a copy of the claim number or report. They also said they took a photo of how they claimed the vehicle was in spot 56 and not 55 but would not prove it to me. Said "it's a civil matter". I will take them to court and I have already filed a claim with my insurance company. GFY western towing. read more

There are low life things, virtual bottom feeders in this world. There are s..t house rats, slime at the bottom of a barrel, and the dregs of a beer glass. Then right below EVERY low life you can think of are predatory tow truck operators and the people that work there. Coming home from my daily radiation and chemo cancer treatment, I stopped to deliver a gift to my daughter at her condo building in Santee. I was there for 10 minutes. Despite it being private property AND the HOA telling these low lifes to stay OFF the property, they towed my car. Then , for a 3 mile tow, $349 !!!! $117 per mile!!!!! The hard on the eyes lady (???) in the office had the nerve to tell me to " chill" when they STOLE MY CAR and held it for ransom. Obviously these people(???) can't get a decent , honest job so they drive around preying on good, honest, hard working people. I'm not a big believer in Karma but I hope and pray something bad happens top each and every loser associated with this dishonest company Maybe some day, but I doubt t it, they can get an honest job and not rip people off. read more

I too, would only give this place a 0 star if I could. Stay far away from these crooks. This company gives tow operators a bad name and that saying something. I called AAA for a tow and they directed me to their co-conspirator. They cancelled my tow with AAA and submitted a tow bill for $690. I've notified AAA and will be filing a complaint with the BAR. read more

Worst service on planet earth. They go out of their way to be rude to you. No matter what you ask it's rejected, they don't negotiate or tolerate anything as if you are a prisoner. This company charges impound car extremely expensive. Aside from that, you will loose 4 hrs of work just to retrieve your car, meaning penalty fee $230 + storage fee $60 +$100 after office hrs pickup+ $150 for not going to work. An abomination of a towing company. This company patrols certain parking spots that are deceiving, which look like "guest" parking but are actually "reserved". My Tesla had captured this from the camera's within the car, as a tow truck pulled in just minutes after my car was parked in one of these spots. Times are either tough economically for Western Towing, or their unethical ways are just the way they handle their lives. One of the worst establishments known to mankind - if not the worst. read more

If I can leave a zero star I would. I got my car towed in the community I own a townhome in... The total cost was $398 for them to release the vehicle after driving the car home I realized the panel underneath was damaged and was scrapping my tire as I turn the wheel. I called them to file a claim and their response was there is no way for me to prove it was them and that the damages could've been pre-existing. Would give this place zero stars if I could ! I work graveyard shift and got out of work in the middle of the night around 1 am . I have been parking in red for the past year keep in mind where I park is PUBLIC street parking . They said they're only a PRIVATE property parking . I called the police too see if they where able too tow me where I was at and they said they did an illegal tow but they marked it in their system as private property . GD scammers. My families legal team will be contacting their establishment. Don't trust this company! They don't have any type of clear way to get a hold of anyone on the other side of their shady tow yard fence, so you wind up leaving and then in turn it costing you MORE money. My family members car was towed to this yard because some mall employee was paid off so this company could get another 400.00 off of a hard working citizen. Absolutely disgusting company. read more

The fact that they let an UNAUTHORIZED person who doesn't own, work for, or is even the property manager allow a car to be towed from a property she rents using government welfare checks she recieves on "disability" - all she had to do was claim she is the property manager on the phone without any proof or written consent - and they come right up and tow your vehicle. The FACT THAT I HAD TO PROVE that I am AUTHORIZED TO EVEN SEE and PICK UP THE CAR the amount of work and effort to collect the information and paperwork to PROVE that I can claim the car...took more effort than the B* that called to have my car towed. She doesn't even own a car herself. Her rent is paid for by the government and Western Towing believed that she was the property manager in charge of towing cars. UNBELIEVABLE. So what you're trying to say is that I can call any Western Towing company claiming i was the person in charge and have cars towed for no real reason? I asked the person managing the Western Towing lot on El Cajon Blvd and his response was "mistakes were made, mistakes happen, they are a part of life, you just deal with it". I called Western Towing company line to check on their towing procedure, the person on the other line did in fact verify that when they recieve calls to tow cars, the ask for authorization - SO I asked, they why was a POS redneck on welfare who doesn't even work because she collects disability, medicare, and welfare to pay her rent, allow for my car to get towed? Just because she receives money from the government doesn't mean she works for the government. What kind of accreditation does one need to prove that they are authorized to make those types of calls? All she had to say was "Yes I am the manager" so you're telling me, I can call and say "I am the manager" and have anybody's car towed at my own whim? The manger didn't have a response other than I have to talk to the person who took that call which of course, of course, of course, they were off today. read more

They came out from our AAA VIp Membership. They did not pick up our 2011 Scion because it didn't have a hook. If it didn't have a hook we had to hook it up ourselves. I am sorry we are getting more stupid people behind a wheel. We called AAA and told them to send a better knowledge person. They told us that Western Tow owes USA towing and that no one would pick up my car. We will need to provide our own services and pay. Yeaup this is correct. I am so discussed that we are now facing a monopoly with towing. This needs to stop. I own old cars and the reason why I got AAA is to provide this service.
