Should be called "WORST" Towing & Roadside Assistance as they are responsible for a "hit and run." Business address per Yelp- :8721 Troy Street, Spring Valley. On May 17, 2024, a Best Towing & Roadside Assistance tow truck, driven by Rwad "Roger" Thouzen, was in the lane right in front of me and in heavy traffic in Spring Valley. I watched a large piece of steel fell from his truck bed just above the hitch area and went under my car. Unfortunately, I could not stop or it would've caused a severe rear end collision involving many cars and I was unable to move to either lanes next to me due to the heavy traffic. After the steel object came out from under my car, I was able to chase down the tow truck. The truck stopped and I informed Mr. Thouzen that a piece of steel fell off of his truck and under my car. He quickly looked under the front of my car and said "your car is fine." He gave me his business card and said "Don't worry, I will take care of it if there's anything wrong." He kept asking where his steel object was and clearly was more interested in getting his object back that damaged my car than in me or my car. I gave him the specific location where he could find the steel object that damaged my car. He made a quick U-turn and went back to that location to retrieve it. I drove a few blocks to my home but notice the car was very loud. Approximately one hour later, I called Mr. Thouzen at the number on his business card, 619-456-5360 as I was just leaving my house and again heard a very loud noise coming from underneath my car. He didn't pick up the phone, but I left a voice message saying there's something wrong with my muffler and I needed to have him call me right away with insurance information. I let him listen to the very loud noise in my car via the voice message so he could hear that there was definitely something wrong with my car. He never returned my call. I called two days later to the same number and spoke to a "Danny" who apologetically said he was aware that there was an incident with my car. He promised to have Mr. Thouzen return my call. He never did. I brought my car to the car dealership who inspected it. They said my muffler and exhaust system was punctured. The total bill was $1535.07. I forwarded a copy of my bill to the phone number Mr. Thouzen's telephone number and asked for a return call. He never did. Then, I eventually hired a private investigator (PI) to help me communicate with Mr. Thouzen and Best Towing and Roadside Assistance to resolve the bill or secure their insurance information for my vehicle. Around the first week of July 2024, the PI sent Mr. Thouzen a letter, email and contacted him telephonically. Mr.Thouzen was given the option of paying for the damage or providing his insurance information so we could file a claim. Mr. Thouzen said he wasn't responsible for any damage to my car and that the company Best Towing & Roadside Assistance was no longer in business. (These were both lies. As days later, several pictures were taken of the tow truck towing cars, furniture, etc.) Mr. Thouzen told the investigator that he would call the investigator back by the end of the day to provide insurance information and cooperate. Mr. Thouzen failed to call back as he said he would. Numerous telephone calls were subsequently made by the private investigator and messages were left for Mr. Thouzen. He failed to return any voice messages. It was determined also that the business didn't exist anywhere if you googled it except for Yelp and the business address in Yelp was not valid. I urge you NOT to use the service of Best Towing & Roadside Assistance or Roger Thouzen as they are unethical, irresponsible, criminal and unscrupulous. If anything ever happened to your car while they were dealing with it, you're on your own for any and all damages and they/he will lie through his teeth. Clearly, professionalism, honesty and integrity are not a part of their value system. I will say, however, that a part of my value system is a belief in KARMA. This company won't last long nor will Mr. Thouzen as his criminal behavior (hit and run) will come back to bite him eventually. It always does. read more

I was broken down in lemon grove with my two boys, ages eight and ten. I called this horrible company who was three hours in coming to my rescue. This guy who said his name was roger informed me that he was the owner of this mom and pop organization. I don't know but when he arrived he was more interested in my sons. Asking me to arrange a play date with his young son(wierdo) who does that? And he gave both boys candy and tried to convince me of his love for children! I BET! Stay away people, our children are precious, and tow truck drivers aren't. read more

I got a flat tired coming onto base on Saturday. called Mazda roadside and they sent Rodger. He was professional and honest. I had a tow scheduled for date and time that never made it by the time I needed. I spoke to Roger about it and he was sincerely apologetic about what had happened. A few days later I decided to try again as I believed that he was sincere in his apology. Sure enough, Roger made it right! You don't see this kind of service anymore. Driver made sure he communicated where he was and what time to expect him. Right on time and got me to where I needed to go with no issue. Thank you for the great treatment Roger! I needed towing service to get my Jeep to a mechanic. My insurance company counted Best Towing and I'm thankful they did. In fact, if I ever need to get towing or roadside service in the future, I'll be sure to call Best Towing first. Andrew was on time and very communicative. He made sure to perform a couple of checks prior to hooking up to ensure it couldn't be avoided and save me the trip. Roger is the best, most professional, and most careful tow truck driver who has ever towed one of my vehicles. He also has an amazing immigration story and is a true American patriot. I was in need of an urgent tow for my low race car, which was parked in a steep underground parking garage only accessible via alleyway. I watched in amazement as Roger maneuvered his flatbed truck down the alley, positioned winches to pull the vehicle out of the garage, carefully used wood planks to prevent scraping the bottom of the car, and raised the car onto his truck. The guy is super busy, but well worth the wait if you have a sports, classic, or exotic car you care about. Thanks to Roger, I was able to resolve my electronic issue timely and make it to Chuckwalla where I took 4th place in my race. He was the real hero of the weekend. read more

If I could give this less than 1 star I would! Can't be a very good local towing company when you don't answer the phone..This company is literally two blocks away from my home and I needed help with a lock out. I had a truck on its way but they where going to be over an hour before they would arrive, I figured I would call someone local. I aw this place was open at 4:44 in the morning and just down the street. Call twice and both times I got a personal voicemail! Thanks but no thanks.. needed a live person.. I don't know who came to rescue me but he was so confused. He said I needed to get my car in neutral to tow it, but my car was dead. He didn't have jumper cables and that was the only way he said. He had a girl with him which meant I wasn't getting a ride home even after they confirmed over the phone I could ride in the truck. So I called a friend and he called his boss. Boss told him where the cables were. He said I didn't need a tow anymore after turning it on. I said yes I do...my car had died 3 times that day!!! We made it home where he kept tripping while unhooking my car. Then he left my keys inside! As soon as I got home my son took a screw driver and put it in neutral in a matter of seconds. I'm just glad my car and I made it home. I won't be calling this place again. read more

We have used Best Towing & Roadside for our customers for over two years. They have towed everything from smaller RV's, Porsche, Classic cars, and more for us. They are affordable, reliable, and trustworthy. All of which is very important when choosing a tow company. Roger is usually who helps us. I recommend asking for him. The company has always been five stars for us. The only thing I'd like to see more of from them is a bigger truck for larger RV's. read more

Not sure how this guy came up with the name. I called to check in after 2 hours of waiting, eta was 105 min max, said his person who went up North never checked back in and went MIA. I mean how does that happen? That person better not have a job after getting back to the office. C'mon, get a grip and better people to work for you. Thankfully I wasn't stranded on the side of the road or else I'd be toast. I STRONGLY recommend changing your name to just "Towing and Roadside Assistance". My husband's motorcycle broke down and needed a tow. Roger from Best Towing arrived and he was excellent. He was helpful and got the bike to our house without incident. Andrew was excellent. Called me to let me know when he would pick my car up. He's professional and a pleasure to work with. He was efficient and very thorough. I thought my parking brake was off. Thank goodness he double checked, because it was on and that would have been an expensive error on my part. He took us and the car to the dealer. Showed us how to drop the keys off, so my car wouldn't get stolen. Then he took us home which was another 6 miles in the opposite direction of his home.
