Bae and I are returning from the ATL and decided to crossover Interstate 431 to Top O! There is a wait and these folks just opened the doors. After 20 mins, we were seated by the window on the Coosa River side. Beautiful! But, we here for this food. Our server is Aly! Girl you nice and efficient. You are top tier here. We glad we have you. Of course we got greens, pickled onions, coleslaw and cornbread to start! This stuff here good. Bae got the seafood platter, with lots of stuff. I got the river market catfish special. It's a 1lb of catfish with hush puppies and a baked potato. And, I still ordered a side of onion rings. I'm too full too quick. This stuff here good. Y'all already know, we come back all the time! When I'm happy, I show back up!

Every table comes with a cast iron skillet of cornbread, slaw, and pickled cabbage. The waitress was attentive to our table's needs and checked in regularly. I had the ribs, which were fantastic! My husband got the ribeye, ordered mid rare. His steak was more than 3/4th gristle; he may have gotten 8 bites that were good. When our waitress came around I stopped her and showed her the steak, my hubby will generally let it go. Brandy was the absolute best waitress I have had in months! She immediately took his plate and showed the manager and came back to let us know that the cook was making him another steak. There were some of my ribs on his plate, so, in a little while she came to our table and brought a new ribeye, 2 loaves of bread and a side of baby back ribs. Thank God for Brandy! It's wonderful to have someone go so far above and beyond to make something right. Longhorn should be proud that they have someone who still actually cares about people and the service they receive! Brandy is who Longhorn should be ecstatic to have as a representative! Give that lady a raise!

And for one of the very rare times, I wish I could add a sixth star to this place. I think my bartender was Erica, nice older woman. At least that's what it was on my ticket. Top notch hospitality. Place was super clean, they had sports playing on one TV, and had enlightening music playing on the other. This is the way all of America should be. I'm on my no carb kick, so I ordered two grilled pork chops with a side of their signature Brussels, and turnip greens. Hold on for a second, I just got done eating about a half an hour ago, and I just had to wipe the saliva off of my mouth while writing this. First of all, my entire meal was under $18. How these Alabama restaurants give you insane portion sizes, and still make a profit is beyond me. The rest of these restaurants in the country need to take note. My plate was huge, and even though it was my only meal of the day, I was still able to take a portion of my second pork chop back to the truck to enjoy tomorrow with my breakfast. The bartender told me that they hired her son as a cook. If this kid keeps slinging these skillets the way that he is, No doubt he will end up being legendary. My brussel sprouts were super good, my turnip greens were OFF.THE.CHAIN. I make collards at home, and this is the very first time I've actually had greens better than my own. I'm actually considering going in there and buying a quart to have on the truck with me. My pork chops? mannnn, If you know me, you know I cook, and these pork chops were nothing short of amazing. Crisp and crunchy on the outside, super super juicy on the inside, seasoned to perfection. This is the food that dreams are made of ladies and gentlemen. I wasn't going to have supper here tonight, because I still have leftovers from last night, but this is the south. If you have a little bit of intuition, you got to go all in, and then thank yourself later. One of the best meals literally that I've had, since early May. I hope this place keeps cranking out the caliber service and food they have, and I certainly hope I'm back in this part of Bama, Because I will definitely be returning. Five stars, just isn't enough. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. The baked potato was not fully cooked and chunky hard. BUT... the black eyed peas were great after I added salt, pepper, and vinegar to them. We came across this nice restaurant and decided to give it a try. We arrived just before the restaurant opened and had to wait, but it was well worth it. I ordered a cup of gumbo along with the shrimp and grits, and I thought I was dining down in New Orleans. It was some of the best gumbo I have eaten outside of Louisiana. There are times after a full day of travel when you don't feel like putting on real pants, so you…read morelet DoorDash do the heavy lifting. That's what we did. The order showed up with a double cheeseburger and fries, a fried pickle burger, kids' tenders with onion rings, and a salad. Credit where it's due--the cheeseburger was solid, the fries were hot, and the kid who ordered the fried pickle burger attacked it with the enthusiasm of a Labrador finding an unattended steak. The little one cleaned her plate too, so the tenders passed the toughest food critics in America. The salad, however, looked like someone whispered the word "vegetables" over a bowl of lettuce and tossed in a little shredded cheese for moral support. It wasn't bad--it just wasn't much of a salad. Then came the part that made me wonder if common sense had taken the night off. French fries arrived without ketchup. That's not an oversight; that's a misdemeanor in at least twelve Southern states. A burger without mayo is enough to have St. Peter squinting suspiciously at your résumé. But the real masterpiece? They sent a salad...and not one plastic fork. Now, I don't know who they think orders salads through DoorDash. Maybe they assume we're all carrying silverware in the glove compartment next to the jumper cables. Perhaps they envision us spearing lettuce with a pocketknife like Daniel Boone. The food itself was mostly good, and I'd order again. But somewhere between the kitchen and the delivery bag, somebody forgot that people generally need utensils to eat a salad and condiments to enjoy fries. Those little details are the difference between "pretty good" and "I'll be back tomorrow."

Neither of us had eaten here before, but both had been wanting to try this place out. First and foremost, don't come out in your Sunday's finest, this place is the true definition of Dive Bar. Come as casual as you want and you'll feel comfortable. Only one other person in the place we were able to grab any seat we wanted. The bartender was quick to our table to get drink orders and give us menus. I went for one of the four Grenades they offered - no not a drink it's one of their signature dishes. Think Nachos but with French fries instead of chips. They had a steak offering as well as ground beef, chicken and pork. I went for the Fresh Prince which came piled with steak, grilled onions and bell peppers and queso (added some pico on the side). Really good dish. Flavor of the steak was that of a classic philly cheese steak. Generous portion for the price. Hard to go wrong here, really the hardest decision is which of the four to order. My fiance had the Porky - which simply put was a loaded burger, but it was oh so much more. Topped with slaw and smoked pork, smothered in bourbon BBQ add some cheddar, lettuce, tomato and fried onion straws and you're in burger heaven. Again, the portion was more then generous and full of flavor. Prices are right on point. Service was good and even though they got busier the longer we stayed, we continued to get checked on through the meal. While you wait for your food, the pool was free (not sure if it's that way all the time - but Saturday afternoon it is). We wouldn't hesitate to come back and try this place out and some of the other menu items. Really great food. Great Staff. Great Prices.
