May 12 24 Was a great deal for the food & good selection. Customer service was on point. Id go back, and every time i find a Western Sizzle while on the road, I stop cause i know the food will be good. Its like a better version of Golden Coral, less drama and better food. Like Old Country Buffet used to be lol. oh and i am picky about my chicken liver, this place I actually got seconds. Just warning, bathroom were cramped, at 5'9" I could look over the stall door. My knees hit the door from the toilet lol. My Star Rating System, since there cant be a 0 star: 1 star - if someone else buys it I won't eat it, I would rather go hungry. 2 star - if I'm hungry, no other options are open and someone buys it - I would consider eating it 3 star - I'm ok with eating it as long as someone else pays 4 star - I will eat again and pay for it and be a semi-regular customer 5 star - I will travel for good food and pay good money and be back on a regular basis and maybe even pay for yours just so we can go read more

Food is consistently good. The servers are friendly and ready to serve. The ambiance is a typical Buffett with multiple tables and booths. For a Buffett, it really is pretty well done! read more

Ok, so this reminds me of my childhood. Definitely has an old, small-town feel. The building is older and could use a good, deep clean and update. Our side of the restaurant had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, I am assuming from long ago when it was a smoking section. The window ledges and walls were dirty with dead flies, and the booths were very squished or low. The service however, was good. Every employee was kind, and our server was fast with refills and plates. It is a buffet, but you can order steaks and meat separately, which is something I was not used to at a buffet. The prices were ok for today's food prices, I guess. $15 for the buffet for adults, but you can choose to just get salad bar for $5 less. The salad bar was actually quite impressive. Fully stocked with a large selection and very clean and fresh. I do wish they offered romaine or spring mix instead of iceberg lettuce only, but just about every other topping was available. They also had a lot of Southern style mixed salads, fruits, dressings, breads, and soup. The hot bar was not as impressive. It looked good at first but the veggies in particular all tasted as if they had been sitting in water all day. The broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, carrots, corn, etc all had no flavor or seasoning at all. Some others were ok like your traditional beans, mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese but the meat too wasn't very flavorful or tasty. Obviously, they serve the better hot food if you order the steaks separately and not on the buffet. If we ever tried again. I would stick with just the salad and soup bar. The biggest hit was probably the desserts with my kids. There was fresh Cobbler, cream pies, an ice cream station, and bakery items. Overall, this buffet is ok, but for the higher price, I would hope they would try to serve fresher veggies and hot food and update and clean the inside. This was another first for us. We were long time fans of Ponderosa and WS looked like a good place for lunch. As first timers, we were a bit overwhelmed when it was time to order, but I got the steak tips and my wife ordered the senior buffet special. She liked the salad and soup bar, but the chicken thigh she got was cold. I loved the tips. The fries were hot and crispy and well seasoned. I was surprised at the end when our server Cody told me that dessert was included with my meal. I had one of the tastiest cinnamon rolls to close my meal. I do need to again mention our server Cody. He went above and beyond to make sure that our meal went smoothly. Thank you! read more

The food was delicious. The service superb and the dining room was clean. I enjoyed the cold salad bar and a steak with baked potato.

I ordered chopped steak and FF. The fries had so much salt on them I coud not eat them. Don't they know you can add salt but it is hard to get off, especially when it's popcorn salt. I did not see the server until we were ready to leave. It was so hot in there I couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed my simple medium rare steak, baked potato and a slice of Texas toast. Everything was well prepared, the meat was tasty and light pink in the middle. I didn't have much in the way of toppings for my potato but I ordered before I realized they had a full buffet in addition. I tend to get steak at Texas Roadhouse, my current favorite steak place but I'd be willing to eat here again easily. read more

Am surprised people expect the steaks to be worth way more than you pay. They are well worth the price. We usually eat chopped sirloin as a hamburger steak with onions, peppers, mushroom gravy (on side not drowning it) and baked potato. The food bar and salad bar are good unless it is close to closing. Desserts are not very tasty unless something hot like cobbler or some pies. The quality is 10x better to us than GC competitor. No competition. read more

Went there for breakfast. Great bacon and good eggs. Big problem with the pancakes and waffles. My guess is generic Bisquick. They must have bought the cheapest mix on the market. With the prices you would think they could afford better. read more

No complaints. The food was good and there is a good selection. Service was good. The only reason they don't get five stars is their bread is not good. Just a dinner roll, not a tasty yeast roll like their main competitor. I recommend this place. You don't really need bread since there is such a selection of food. read more

This is a steakhouse??? Just had a ribeye at this location. Ordered it medium rare. It may have had a couple of pink spots in it. There was absolutely no juice in the steak and no juice on my plate when I was done eating. It was soooooo dry and had absolutely no flavor at all. Salad and baked potato were okay. Will not return to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone. read more
