First visit to Roadhouse in Ft. Smith for family reunion. Arrived about 630, place was just getting busy. My wife and I arrived early, sat at the bar where the bartender took great care of us. Nice start. Our party of 6 was shown to a nice table where our server, Savannah, made us feel welcomed right away. Our guests of honor, both a young 85 were well taken care of. Table ordered mozzarella sticks which we all enjoyed, followed by warm yeast rolls. My order of fried catfish was excellent, really enjoyed it along with the green beans. My wife had the sirloin steak and baked potato all done to her exacting standards!! Our guest of honor was not happy with her dinner, we informed Savannah, who immediately addressed the issue professionally. The order was recooked and manager made sure it was removed from the bill. My compliments to this server, sounds like this effort should be "normal" but other experiences say otherwise. Roadhouse is lucky they have someone of that caliber on their staff. Next visit to Ft. Ordered a ribeye medium rare. Not complicated a very common order. It came out well done waited for 20 minutes for a replacement it came out raw. 20 minutes for them to bring me a steak that was in the grill for a max of 5. I sat there for almost an hour for this. Tasty steaks and great appetizers! Good drinks - cokes are mixed super well and the sweet tea is awesome! The ribs are good and the sirloin tips and sirloin is good as well. Baked potatoes and the sweet potatoes are also great! The service is always great and they keep a clean restaurant even a clean bathroom! The prices are good and this is a place where the wait starts early - especially on the weekends - you can call ahead to join the line(using their phone app) which I recommend if you're not there pretty early on the weekends! read more

So we are visiting family and needed dinner. We chose Texas Roadhouse cuz it is near the hotel, and on the main road. I arrive, Husband drops me to go find a parking spot. Check in *no waiting* ok maybe 1-2 min max! I admit I was getting hangry before arriving. Grumpy lady walks into the Roadhouse orders our usual.. only down side, they were out of their chili. Up side we have alternatives already picked full baked Potato with butter. Fill me up! My unsweetened tea was filled, with a repeat of "no sugar." Everything we ordered was spot on tonight! OK, Husband says, 'hunger is the best spice!' Rolls were crisp but fluffy with the take-me-away honey butter - not shy with the butter given either. The restaurant was busy and moderately loud, but a lot more den of the crowd than music & yellin' - ok there were a few Birthday yells but all in fun. I had a very disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse. My family and I waited an extremely long time to be seated, even though we noticed multiple larger parties being seated before us. It was frustrating and made it feel like there was no fairness or organization in how guests were being handled. We were patient, but watching bigger groups come in after us and get seated first was upsetting. Customer service includes making all guests feel valued, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. I hope management takes a closer look at how seating is handled so other families don't have the same experience. read more

We felt as if she were undermining our waitress bc while our waitress was doing her job the manager was almost micromanaging her and also we felt as if the manager was a bit judgemental towards us. We had a great server, Eli. He was attentive and honest. Everyrhing csme promptly, food was good!!! They have consistent quality and gourmet touches like salt crusted potatoes, outstanding sweet potatoes. I had the steak salad. Perfect! Party of 9 on a cold, rainy night. We had made arrangements for a table for our large party several hours ahead of time. Our entire group was present and waiting at our prearranged time. We were told it would be more time because the tables they were going to put together were still in use (we ended up in a completely different section in the end BTW). Then we were forced out of the building by management into the cold to wait. Their porch "waiting area", with plastic wall covers and overhead heaters available, was not using either even after I requested them because of our elderly family members. No one ever came out to address that even though I was told by the manager that they would. After an additional 30 minutes in the cold, wind, and spray from the rain, we were finally seated. Our waitress was the one silver lining in the whole experience. I understand this is generally a busy place, but the level of indifference from the staff was unacceptable, especially after we specifically asked for weather accommodations. I was lied to and no apologies were given. This just reinforces my belief that, even though the food is ok, the experience we'll get just isn't worth it. There are plenty of other steakhouses just as good or better that don't send you out in the cold rain. read more

I eat at Texas roadhouse all the time with my significant other and I know that this one over in Fort Smith didn't try to pull what they pulled..... since I don't eat red meat. I ordered the grilled chicken salad..... OK cool no problem... I get to go pick it up. They gave me a Styrofoam half full of salad..... so the young lady at the to go I made her take the salad back and refill it properly and then after it was done, the manager comes and brings me out some more chicken for the salad and this shit is a joke.... The salad when you eat it is more than enough for two meals.... I don't know what this is they gave me. to stay away from Gabby is clear she doesn't give a damn more than likely doesn't belong in management. read more

Well we called at 1pm on Saturday 3/23 and asked for a table for 10 people for a 2pm reservation. They took our name and said no problem, we got there at 1:50 they said we called and cancelled our reservation. Not a single person called and cancelled our reservation from our party. They said they would clear a table for our party of 10, it would take 20-25 minutes. After 45mins we left and went and ate Mexican at Zapata Mexican Grill. Food was good and our service was good however the poor table next to me of three took way too long to get service and I was surprised how no one except their server checked on them. We had same server and he made sure to check on us. So many servers were bustling around however when we walked in I should have known service would be spotty. The two people acting as host were playing and it took me three tries to have them understand I used waitlist and was not just walking in for a table. Staff was proactive and friendly. Food came out quick and spot on. The biggest drawback was the bussers standing in the aisles right by the customers talking and spinning dirty rags through the air. My my daughter love the food. Tonight by far exceeded our expectations when it comes to the service we got. It was extremely busy and we had to sit at the bar if we wanted to avoid a 60min wait. I don't know if her section is too big for her to effectively manage or if shes really new. Ambiance Texas style steakhouse, complete with country muzak playing. Food It's okay. Odd how the locations vary so much. The cooks have no business deciding how we want our steaks cooked. Mine was no where near how i ordered it. Second attempt failed as well. Add to that the shrimp was brought out cold. It was replaced but where is the quality? Where is the pride in what they do? Overall NOT IMPRESSED. Can't say it was the best tonight. I've definitely had much better steak. The kabob my wife had wasn't impressive looking. The meat almost looked like processed meat and not steak and the rice looked like rice with a brown sauce poured on. My sides were pretty good though. Won't be in a hurry to go back. This place was simply amazing. We were looking for a good bbq place that wasn't a chain. Everything was home made. The server recommended the club house sandwich so i took his suggestion. Portions are huge! But when the sandwich arrived, it looked like every other club I've eaten, and i immediately regretted my order. It has ham, Turkey, and bacon, layered high but it looked like packaged deli meats. Boy was i mistaken! One bite and the smoked flavor just burst in my mouth! The Turkey, han, and even the bacon was smoked for hours and hours, sliced thin ( resembling store bought) but man was it an outstanding sandwich. I got a side of green beans cooked with chunks of bacon. I talked my wife out of the 1/2 pound baby back ribs and had her order the 1/3 size. That was a smart move as it came with 4 large ribs. She got corn and potato salad. I didn't try the corn but the potato salad was incredible. It was served in a normal small cup but it was a HUGE mound that dwarfed the cup. Mustard/Mayo based, with chopped pickles, just the way i love it. Fall off the bone rib goodness seasoned just right with a wonderful rub and a bottle of their signature sauce at every table.
