Hired Andy 3 times for business needs and very Happy with his service. I would highly recommend him for all your Locksmith needs. Was able to respond to my emergency call within a reasonable amount of time given my call being during rush hour traffic. Was able to get me into my residence without having to drill through my lock. Called another vendor prior and the guy wanted to drill my lock. Beware of those scams. This business is honest, fair and does quality work! read more

Best lock smith ever! Andy is the most knowledgeable and skilled. He was the only expert who could figure out our complicated family room door, when the lock was broken. Andy was so nice to show me how to use the lock several times. Andy also made a perfect key to open up our small side door, so that we didn't have to change the entire lock. We will definitely recommend Andy to all if our neighbors. read more

Andy is great! He knows his locks, he knows his doors, he know literally everything there is know about security and repairs for all things related. He can get your required project or repair taken care of and not at a premium. He comes to the property ready to get things done and does so quickly. Arrives on-time and doesn't waste your time. Had a security gate whose lock and key were not working. Turns out it was the lock mechanism and Andy was able to repair it, rekey it and provide copies of the new keys in an hour. I don't know about other locksmiths, but I believe that many items to do would be several hours or they would charge for a new lock and the installation and more. read more

I was having a DAY. And got locked out of my house. I called these guys and they told me 30-40mins. My phone was on like 6% so FML. They came exactly between 30-40mins. Dude didn't go around announcing to the whole neighborhood that he's a locksmith which is dope. Dude also got through my lock in like 2 seconds which is dope. Then dude wouldn't let me go until I proved I was living here which is dope. Respect the protocol. Prob the most efficient experience I've ever had. I would 100% recommend. Also, if you're like me and can't pay him cash, TIP THIS DUDE. Square fees add up. I think dude's name is Michael. read more

My neighbor locked herself out of her home and had no access to her cell phone or purse. She did have a screaming toddler however when she approached me for help. I called Western Locksmith, explained the situation to the man that answered and put her on the phone. They arranged a dispatch during the afternoon commute and a locksmith arrived in about a half hour. When people call a locksmith, they usually have an urgent need. Western Locksmith came to the my neighbor's rescue and resolved her issue very quickly. read more

This guy is AMAZING. I was San Diego and needed my passport in order to go to Mexico the next day; however, it was in a locked drawer at my house in San Jose. I called several locksmiths asking if any of them could make a key based off a picture i took with my iPhone. After no's from 4 or 5 of the top locksmith's from Yelp I called this guy and he stepped up to the challenge. That's right. He made a key with just a picture. If that's not Amazing enough he went above and beyond as well making a few different versions to ensure that the key would work, then dropped them off and stuck around to make sure there were no issues. Not only were there no issues, the key worked perfectly! This guy is good. I had a friend get the passport, 1 day ship it to me, got it the next morning and was in Mexico by lunch. It was perfect. I will definitely use this guy for all my locksmith needs and would recommend him to anyone who wants the services of a great locksmith. read more

I needed a door lock and handle replaced when I realized that I couldn't unlock the door at my house. I called Green Keys Locksmith, but their locksmith had another job across the Bay, and he wouldn't be back for several hours. Luckily for me I was given a great recommendation to contact Andy Kim from Western Locksmith. Andy was able to come out on short notice and arrived on time when he said he would, which I really appreciated. He was friendly and replaced the door and lock, providing details on what needs to be done. Andy deserves 100 stars. He provides excellent service, he's trustworthy, reliable and honest. He's truly a professional and definitely has the knowledge and experience to back up his business. read more

My roommate has been doing CrossFit, so now he's super strong....unfortunately for us, that means he turned the key so hard in the keyhole of our iron sliding gate that the key broke inside the keyhole! I had him call a locksmith and he found Andy through Yelp. Andy said he would be over at noon and the charge would be $100. Around 12:15 he called us to let us know he was on his way. He got here at 12:30. Finished the job in 10 minutes, and charged us the quoted $100. No hidden costs, no BS. Great job, nice Korean man, A+. We'd go with them again for convenience and professionalism! Too bad I wasn't the one who foud him or I'd know to use the Yelp deal to save $10! read more

Needed a duplicate key made for a steering wheel lock and called about half a dozen locksmiths who kept referring me back to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, the manufacturer will no longer send out pre-cut keys and only sells blanks that need to be cut by a locksmith since Lowe's and Home Despot won't cut security device keys. I lucked out and called Western Locksmith and spoke to John, who is a locksmith and son of the owner. He was able to find a key blank in his inventory that would work with the lock and cut a new duplicate key in approximately 15 minutes. John was super friendly and professional. One bit of advice is to call ahead and make an appointment because locksmiths are usually out on calls helping clients out in the field. Pricing at $5 was excellent for the service provided. I will definitely use Western again for my locksmith service needs and will not hesitate in recommending them to friends and family. read more

After my roommate accidentally locked me out of my condo at 10:45 PM one night, I began calling numerous "24 Hour" locksmiths and Western Locksmith was the only one that answered the phone. Mr. Kim said he'd be there in about 25 minutes, he arrived just under 20 minutes later. He quickly gained me entrance back into my condo and then for a very nominal cost repaired my lock from some discovered damage and made me three new keys that would work in both my lock and deadbolt. All told he took less than half an hour. It's rare that I am this pleased with a service like this. Mr. Kim was kind, fast, professional, effective and affordable. Thanks so much! read more

After being locked out of my car for 4 hours... I thankfully found Andy on yelp. My insurance had me on hold for more than two hours to get my roadside assistance and once it hit midnight I was in desperate need of finding somebody to help me get into my car after locking the keys in there. Prior to him we had contacted some other company who took more than an hour to get to my destination & whom finalized the price at almost $100 more than originally quoted. Andy was responsive, VERY QUICK!!!!! (He arrived within 10 minutes) & very efficient and friendly. His price was also very reasonable. I wish I would've found him from the very start. Keep in mind I was called him at midnight. Thank you so much Andy for your quick and awesome work! I recommend to everybody who is in need of locksmith service! read more

Professional and Honest Locksmith! We misplaced the master key to our Yamaha cruiser. We got so frustrated after calling so many places because either they costed too much ($180-$200) or required us to tow the bike to their shop which is another cost ($200) to replace the key. Fortunately, we found Andy. He came to our house to unlock the bike and make a key at a much lesser price ($200). Since he did not have the key making machine with him, he promised to come back another day to make us two extra keys. Yup...he did come back! We are very happy with his service, professionalism and honesty. We highly recommend Andy!!! read more

Andy is awesome. I called around to get a quote on a late-night replacement for a key to my car and Andy blew the competition out of the water. I got some astronomical quotes from the other guys, so when Andy said it would be $180 it was music to my ears. He was very professional, pleasant, and timely. Thanks again Andy, will call you for any of my locksmithing needs! read more

This was the 1st time I got locked out of my house AND garage. Needless to say, I was panicking and distressed! I found Western Locksmith through Yelp, and Andy (owner & locksmith) was prompt, professional, efficient, and helpful. I called him to come out to my place, and he showed up in a quick 20 minutes. I like that he gave me options, and was informative through the entire process. He even went to Home Depot twice to find the appropriate fitting parts in the lock. He also gave me his opinion regarding the doorknob and deadbolt to my house, which I greatly appreciated. I felt that he was honest, unlike most places which would try and talk me into extra services just to get some business / money. Overall, I would highly recommend Andy to anyone I know, and I'm definitely going to keep his business card handy for future accidental lockouts! read more

I needed a replacement for a motorcycle key fast and I didn't know of any place that could do motorcycle key replacement. I quickly went on yelp and typed, "Motorcycle" and "Locksmith," and this business popped up. Thanks, Andy, for reducing my husband's Honey Do List! You fixed existing lock issues that have existed in our house since we purchased it over 4 years ago! Used Andy first time, find it on yelp and decide to try. Called few other places, find out he is the most available and easy to talk no. Just honest and fast. He is reasonably priced, came perfect on time, and very nice guy, polite and pleasant, and took off his shoe at door. He spent the time explain the problem, and did best job to fix the interlock, and told me what would be the cheapest way to fix it if next time I run into the same type of problem. A review that is totally overdue. Andy helped me out with making a key for my car on short notice--i list the key and had no spares. Considering my car was an old 94 Chevy, i wasnt sure anyone would be able to help me out the same day. Called a couple places only to learn it was going to be very expensive. Andy quoted me a price that was significantly better than the others and even when we ran into a couple unexpected roadblocks, he solved the issue and never tried to use it as a reason to charge more--something a less professional locksmith could easily do to screw you over. I will definitely be calling Andy for any future work i need done. read more

Would highly recommend. We had an issue with our machine on a Saturday afternoon, and after having two locksmiths try to drastically overcharge, we contacted Andy. He came over within 20 minutes on a Saturday, made multiple keys for us that the other locksmiths claimed were too hard to create, and gave us a very reasonable price. Also a very good person to converse with, as he is talkative but also polite and nice. Amazing experience, very skilled, and definitely try him out! read more

John Kim came out and was such a lifesaver!! I lost my car and house keys today. Called and John came right out. He was polite, followed all Covid safety precautions and worked diligently until he was able to open up my truck. When he encountered complications, he pursued and went back to the shop to get what he needed to help me out. He even went the extra mile and made sure that my truck started with the new key he made me and that I knew how to lock the truck with the new key. He was my lifesaver tonight. I start a new job tomorrow and had no idea how I was going to make it to my new position. I will definitely be resting easy tonight thanks to John. I have a garage thats detached from our condo. The previous owners did not know the code on the keypad for it, neither did they provide us the key to the manual override vault that has a string attached to disengage the lever. We used to operate the garage door using a wireless remote. Unfortunately this one evening I left the wireless remote inside the car, got out of the garage and thought of trying out the keypad to close the door (duh ?!?!?! total facepalm moment) Once the door shut I realized now i have NO WAY to get in (no manual override key like i said, and no code to the keypad) Now, what I really needed is a ""locksmith"" to help me with the manual override to which i didnt have the key Called almost 3 other locksmiths (wont name them here) and all 3 said we cant help you with what you are talking about. In short they kinda made me feel stupid saying I should call the HOA as they probably know better than me. They ''completely" discounted the fact that I had already identified the solution, and that it had come down to getting a locksmith to help!! One guy went as far as directing me to a ''garage door company" since I used the word "garage"! Andy, the 4th locksmith I called, told him garage door locked out, no manual override key available. ""HE"" asked me the MOST PRECISE and RELEVANT question that a knowledgeable locksmith would - "Does your garage have a manual override lock that looks like a straight line ? or a round/circular style lock that uses a key that looks like a elongated cylinder" -- I was like, YES THIS GUY "KNOWS" what exactly what I am talking about... Andy showed up on time, popped the manual override in few seconds, even helped me set the code on our keypad (which we were incorrectly told DOES NOT WORK), explained the garage door assembly a bit. Made us keys for the manual override. Great job Andy. I totally recommend Andy Kim ! read more
