Hank was the light at the end of a bad weekend. I had my car broken into and my detective recommended western auto glass. The price was 1/3 what safelight quoted me so I got my windshield (chipped in an unrelated incident) replaced as well that same day. He had everything in stock and the appointment only took about an hour and a half. In the lobby, they had TV going a ton of magazines and the comfiest couch you'll ever sit on outside of your own living room. I had a crack in my windshield that I tried to have filled but I had to have to windshield replaced. I was referred to Western. I gave them a call and spoke with Hank. He gave me a great price for replacement. He was a pleasure to talk to over the phone. His personality is phenomenal. I went to their location to have the windshield replaced. There was another customer there that had a dog. I'm afraid of animals and he had her to have the dog taken out of the waiting area. I was thankful of that as I was standing outside. Hank said it would be 90 mins. I went to my moms house who wasn't far away. Hank had offered to have his wife take me. How awesome is that!? I'd already arranged for a Lyft. Surely enough 90 min later Hank called. He gave me all of the do's and don'ts for the next 24 hours. Most importantly I couldn't do any stunt driving. . The repair was was phenomenal. I've not had any issues. The repair works was done 8.10.18. If I ever have any glass repairs that need to be done I will definitely go to and recommend Western Glass! A rock hit our windshield and we got a chip and small crack. We went to Western Glass to have it filled in with resin (or whatever they use). I think they did a great job. It's only been a week, but the crack hasn't spread and I doubt that it will. Ask for Hank. He was super helpful and nice. You never want to pay to replace something that you didn't expect to break, but if you find yourself in that undesirable situation, this is the place you'll want to sort it out. Our window was smashed in and we needed to get it fixed quick. We came here on the recommendation of Woodbridge neighbors. Not only was Hank helpful and straightforward, he went out of his way to get us a part that cost less than $100 used instead of a new one for nearly $600 (we have an unusual model). I hope to never need to visit him again, but if you need someone to replace your auto glass, come to Western and see Hank. I had a "bruise' on my windshield. I waited too long to take the car with the chip damage in....Hank was GREAT. He explained the repair process and, with the spidery (my word) crack already occurring, the best we could hope for is stopping the spread. Great work for $45. Cracked windshield on my Jeep, called in to them, got a great price and the work was done quickly and done very well. Any glass work I need will be done here in the future. I'll also add here... they fixed an issue that I had when I replaced the windshield a few years back... that last company went the lazy route causing water to come in and rust to form... Western fixed that as part of their install no extra charge..... and even put my oil change sticker back in place on the new windshield ..... can't say enough good about them! read more

A miracle from a mess- Hung out Friday night and found that some fool had broken my passenger rear window and it's the middle of 4th of July weekend, Safelite couldn't see me until the following Tuesday! And their cost was $419. 00 (07 Acura MDX). Henderson glass quoted $380.00... Believe me, I was soooo skeptical about patronizing a Detroit establishment. I lived here all my life and I have a life time's worth of disappointments (go to ANY fast food joint), but I took a chance because I was desperate. I am so glad I was led to dial the number for WESTERN GLASS Co. Hank answered the phone and looked up the parts/window needed to repair my truck. His computer was acting up so he asked could he phone me back in 5 minutes. I said 'sure' and he did call me back, quoted his price... and because he needed to call me back 'HE' said that he would pay my tax for my inconvenience in him having to phone me back (who does that?) His price was also $100.00 cheaper that the other more well known auto glass places. That fool who broke out my window did me a favor, I now have a place in Detroit that I can tell people with confidence that it is a great place to go in a trying time. We recently had an ice storm, and as I was backing my car OUT of the driveway to avoid damage to it, a tree branch smashed my windshield (yay!) I was hesitant to check with any of the big-box windshield providers, so I asked a friend of mine who he had used when he recently had his rear window replaced. He immediately recommended Western Glass to me, raving about their prices and service. I gave them a call and talking to Hank about my issue was like talking to an old friend. He was down to earth and knew my situation, made several jokes to make me feel comfortable, but also kept the conversation professional and had a "customer first" attitude. He quoted me way under what I was expecting to pay for a windshield replacement, so I eagerly brought my car in the day after I called. The service I experience in person was amazing, and exceeded my expectations. Hank is a great guy who runs an honest business and passes savings on to his customers. I HIGHLY recommend Western Glass to ANYONE who has auto glass needs! The "customer first" mentality is something that is being lost in our current society, until someone complains. The other reviews are very true and spot on. After having my side glass smashed out by some hoodlums, I called Western. Unfortunately they were too busy to service me that day (last hour left of them being open), but Hank told me to come first thing tomorrow and he would be glad to serve me. I got in around 3 the next day, and Hank remembered me from our prior phone call, told me told me the option of new or used glass, and 45 minutes later I had new glass installed, the interior of my car shop vac'd clean on both sides to remove all the Detroit diamonds and more that were on my floor. The best part though is when you are in the waiting room and you get to meet Hank, and you know right away the guy takes care of his customers, and satisfaction is most important to him. He is a very honest and reliable guy, and very knowledgeable in his field. Would not hesitate to come back. read more

Hank was very friendly and quick. I called and he said I could come right in. The window was fixed in less than an hour and at an extremely reasonable price! It was $129 to fix my window. The other places I called quoted me at $180 and $210! So saving money was awesome!
