Cool little vibe on a Friday evening. The music was good. The food was just alright. I wish the salmon bites had a little more flavor. Wings were decent. Service was a little slow. I would come back though.

Came here with a large group of friends for a Saturday brunch, the week they opened because my close friend recommended them. I was a little hesitant at first because I hadn't heard anything about this place opening up and just wasn't sure what to expect. First of all the space is so cute and new! They have a large outdoor patio area with comfy seating and umbrellas. We had a larger corner area to hang out and eat in. We ordered hookah, mimosa and brunch. Our food was really good! I ordered the chicken and waffles and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't recall coming up for air while eating LOL. The mimosas were perfect, the hookah and hookah service was fantastic. But I absolutely have to give a big thank you to our amazing and gorgeous server Ariyanna! She was working so hard in the heat and she never missed a thing. Such a sweetie and just amazing service for our large group on a busy Saturday. Kudos to their entire team, we really had a wonderful time! Great spot to come chill out and vibe!

First time visiting WET for brunch after hearing from a few friends the brunch is good. I've come to WET a few times for events so I was looking forward to their brunch. I didn't expect to see the same ladies who wear booty shorts during club hours also be the ladies handling brunch at 1pm in the afternoon. We walk in and sat outside it was a beautiful and WET nice outside seating. The ladies/staff were smoking hookah so took a few minutes to get acknowledged. One of the ladies come over and give us 1 menu for a table of 6 people. Not a big deal maybe they were low on menus but there was only 2 people at another table. No biggie though we were ready for drinks and it's brunch time so mimosas. They I believe have Prosecco on tap but they mentioned they sold mimosa towers so based on cost per glass it made sense to get the tower. Tower was filled with ice which I've never had a tower with ice and wasn't good very watery to us. We were going to order a bottle on the side to top off our glasses from the tower but paying $200+ for champagne seemed excessive so we declined. We didn't get to order any food so I would love to come back. Reason being some folks in the group felt some disrespect because our waitress came to the table and took the single but never asked if we wanted to order food. She literally didn't come back. The hookah staff came by 2-3 times but waitress did not. We eventually walked over asked for the bill and left. Very cool spot & location. I really enjoyed this location during the evening events I've attended a few times but will come back again to try the food I've heard great things about. Hopefully different staff.

Probably didn't experience this place at the right time. Came here on a Sunday for brunch and it still had a heavy weed smell from Saturday night. We were the only ones in the place for an hour and we had to ask for water after 10 minutes. We ordered a veggie omelette and a three meat omelette. Unfortunately being the first customers of the day they were out of half the veggies already. My wife's omelette was also burnt. This place would probably be better sticking to the club vibe instead of trying to do brunch.

I came for brunch and it was a nice vibe. You have options for a section, and regular seating. Nice outside patio. It was extremely hot when we went but they had umbrellas in the section. Air conditioning inside. It is black owned. They don't hit you over the head with prices so that's a plus. Arianna was the best server/ bartender. Super nice. She was busy but still managed to bring us what we needed. They did have hookah on Saturday not sure about during the week. I'll definitely be back. Food was good. I had the meat lovers omelette.

Definitely enjoyed! The waitress was really nice!! Very welcoming! The food was so good! Drinks were perfect. Love the atmosphere of the place! Will come back!

Big, open and airy. Lots of seating and a few party rooms too. Loved the outdoor seating too. If it had been a little cooler that would have been perfect. They have cornhole and ping pong and just a fun atmosphere out there. Our server was warm and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We started with a few apps - the chips and onion dip and the pigs in a blanket. The chips were well salted and the onion dip was DELISH!!! The pigs were wrapped in homemade party dough and came with a honey mustard crème fraiche. They were so good!! For entrees we tried the fried chicken, prime rib dip, and the meatloaf. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so good too. The only misstep on this dish was the biscuit. Way too dense and not very flavorful. The prime rib dip was tender and came on the most crispy bread. What a great combo! The only thing that wasn't great were the fries, just nothing too special. The meatloaf dish was flavorful and came with those yummy mashed potatoes so great pairing. We didn't have room for dresser on site but we did take the monkey bread to go and enjoyed it later. Good portion size and full of apple and caramel flavor. Did not regret taking that home!! Really looking forward to this spot opening closer to home. Highly recommended

We saw multiple issues with food orders around us as well as incorrect billing which was concerning. This doesn't seem like an establishment ready to handle the volume of patrons it's built for. Some staff were great while others were far from professional or customer focused. Not a place I will return to.

When we arrived, there was a nice card signed by all the staff. The server was friendly and upbeat. Interesting choice though to seat us right next to the kitchen door which was loud and had servers obviously running in and out. Of all the spots to put us, that said a lot right off the bat. We placed our appetizer orders and upon taking our first bite of the ahi tuna, which is not tiny and you get a mouthful, the server asked us to order entrees. Timing was really awkward, irritating, and just uncomfortable. We were trying to get out our order while our mouths were stuffed from the app. So we didn't enjoy the app and were forced to put in our entree at that moment in time. He couldn't have waited say, "an extra 15-20 secs?" North Carolina Dumplings were one of the best apps I've ever had and I'll be thinking of that one for a long time. When we got the entrees, they started clearing them one at a time, even though some of us were still eating. Worse than that, I was still eating my entrée and they were pushing the desert menus on us. I literally had to say, "I would like to focus on my entree before thinking about a dessert." I'm not sure I've ever had any high-end restaurant do this. It was just so obnoxious and you could feel they were just looking to do super quick turns. I've never been that rushed and this place isn't inexpensive. The Peach Palmer was very good. He brought my father a decaf cappuccino 3/4 of the way through the dessert and then proceeded to bring the bill moments later. Clearly, the chefs are extremely talented and the servers enjoy working here, but feeling so rushed is why I won''t ever come back again. The timing throughout felt extremely off and took away from what otherwise should've been a top notch meal and dining experience. Such a shame, and one that could've easily been avoided by potentially giving us a total of 10-15 extra minutes of time to move through our meal. Instead, it seemed like the goal was to get us in and out and rush everything. Not exactly the memory you want to have on any occasion, let alone an anniversary one at over $100/person.

They have always had, in my estimation, the best French onion soup around and I was craving it, so off I went. The restaurant off East Boulevard is an eclectic sort of place, and in my memory the interior hasn't ever changed. The wood is dark, the tables a bit worn and packed together to give a slightly claustrophobic feel, and the decor is always vaguely counterculture. For people who like NoDa and Plaza Midwood (before its recent transformation), it's homey as can be. I enjoyed the familiarity of its unpretentious surroundings as I took a seat in a tiny corner booth. Delighted to note that the French onion soup is as delicious as ever, with a richly flavored broth and a generous amount of bread and cheese baked in. While the quality hasn't diminished, thank heavens, the size has gone from a bowl to a cup. As it was my upcharged side I didn't mind terribly but still. Alas. Kudos to the kitchen for letting me have my soup before my sandwich was delivered, but here is where things went a little south. I had ordered The Usual, one of their trademark dishes, a hot open-faced chicken salad sandwich on a baguette topped with asparagus, mushrooms and cheese. It too has been the victim of shrinkflation, about 2/3 as big as once it was. Again, didn't mind terribly much but the toppings themselves were scant: three small strips of jarred or canned asparagus, four slices of mushroom. Okay, everything is expensive these days, but the edges of the sandwich were burned and the filling was cool, meaning the salamander setting was off and no one checked it before sending it out or putting it down. I might have considered sending it back but that's when my server disappeared. My water glass sat empty for half my meal and was never refilled. Even paying the check was sluggish. So I give the current state 300 East a solid three with a disappointed sigh because they seem to be phoning it in. Really great French onion soup, though.

But the grits at Easy Like Sunday were completely different in the best way. Creamy with the slightest grainy texture and so perfectly seasoned that you don't need to add butter, salt, pepper or anything else. I had been daydreaming about those grits for two years. We finally made it back this past Friday and arrived when the doors opened at 9:00am. We were seated immediately. I ordered the Little Bit of Everything with eggs, bacon, those unforgettable grits and a thick, fluffy, delicious buttermilk pancake. After waiting two years to taste them again, they felt familiar and comforting, like coming home. Our waitress, Diana, made the morning even more special. She was warm, welcoming and accommodating.
