Dr. Lin and his team at Pacific Laser Eye Centre have destroyed my eyes and ruined my life…read more I should never have been deemed a candidate due to my underlying conditions fully disclosed to them pre-op and a very mild prescription, yet they were dishonest with me and deemed me a candidate anyway. They downplayed all my concerns and outright lied about risks I inquired about. They didn't disclose a lot of serious risks especially in my case. They promised me "vision as good as glasses or better"..Immediately post op I got all kinds of terrible visual distortions, both day time and night time. My concerns were dismissed every time and I was told it's normal part of healing and should go away by 3-6 months. Several months post op now, I have a long list of awful complications, from visual distortions to horrible chronic pain, severe dry eyes which all led to severe depression. This nightmare could have been easily avoided if Dr. Lin and his team (Winnie, Gina, other techs) were honest with me and ethical people, disclosing all the risks properly, rejecting me as a candidate based on my condition and certain measurements they've done that proved increased risks of complications in my case, something they never disclosed to me. Instead, they chose to deceive me and destroy my life for profit. Shame on all of you.

I have a long history of chronic uveitis, which has required numerous eye surgeries and treatments, including cataracts, vitrectomy, and laser for retinal tears. My vision deteriorated rapidly in the affected eye leaving me with a significant imbalance in my vision which couldn't be effectively corrected with glasses, and I had been wanting laser correction for many years. However, my retinal specialist advised waiting until my uveitis was stable, which took over 20 years. Throughout that time, he consistently recommended Dr. David Lin as the only surgeon I should consider, provided he deemed an eligible candidate. From the very first interaction with Pacific Laser Eye Centre, I was impressed by how knowledgeable and informative Tiffany was. This level of professionalism and competency continued with everyone I interacted with at the clinic. All my questions, and I had a lot, were answered thoroughly and promptly. When I met Dr. Lin, I instantly felt confident in his expertise and reaffirmed that I had made the right choice. The procedure itself was quick and painless, and the aftercare was exceptional. After removing the bandage lens, I did experience some discomfort and when I called the clinic, they got me in to see a technician and Dr. Holland within an hour. The issue was quickly identified and resolved. I've since had appointments with my retinal specialist and optometrist, and the results have exceeded expectations. Dr. Lin was able to achieve a level of vision correction beyond what was able to be achieved with glasses. I am an extremely happy patient and would highly recommend Dr. Lin for anyone considering laser correction!

I went to see Dr. Sullivan today, 1200 Burrard St Vancouver. Never experienced such an…read moreunprofessional clinic. Firstly, the receptionist couldn't answer the most basic questions like how long the wait would be in the waiting room, just got an arrogant response. Once I saw Dr. Sullivan, she was so rude and with such bad attitude it was almost laughable. I asked her a few different questions regarding my eyes and she responded by attacking me on how can I question her. She just wanted to give me a quick sypnosis as to the condition of my eyes were red and I could not ask her any questions. She even got angry and blew a tantrum when I asked her if she could kindly write down the name of my condition so I wouldn't forget. Stay far and clear from this place

My Dad just had his check up last week and once again she patiently explained in detail, that they can understand, what's going on. My dad has dementia and has trouble with his memory, but he always remembers Dr. Sullivan. He is 84 years old with a number of other medical challenges so often gets bad news at the doctor. Dr. Sullivan has always made my Dad feel great about his eyes. She tells him he has the eyes of a 25 year old (which is true!!) and he just beams with pride. My mom has had a few eye emergencies over the years and Dr. Sullivan is always able to see her quickly and reassure her recommend treatment every time. My Aunt, who is also a patient of Dr. Sullivan's, travels all the way from Vancouver Island just to see her. The staff in the office are always kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Sullivan and am thankful that she has been their eye doctor for the past 20 years.

Patients crowded on chairs in the hallway, too! They did very quick testing. Dr. Sexton comes into the room and deadpans, " You have glaucoma." I knew that I did not. So, I played along. She gave me some drops for the condition. When I returned, she said your pressure is down because you are taking the drops. I couldn't withhold it anymore. I said, "I didn't take the drops because I do not have glaucoma." She just was absolutely so deadpan, I wondered if she was a robot. No reaction. I went to my usual opthamologist. He laughed and said, " Just keep coming to see me and we will just scare it away!" lol. Would I recommend this doctor? Do I have to ask.....? This doctor and another doctor who was double billing.........! And they get away with it! Must be careful. They give the profession a bad name. I don't think they care. Nor about your reviews........... It's called arrogance.

When I told the receptionist that I was booked for an appointment on this date he briskly replied that my appointment had been cancelled. I did not receive any contact from this office to advise that my appointment had been cancelled. The attitude of the receptionist was extremely unprofessional . I left the office and only when walking away did I think of checking to ask how they attempted contact so I returned to make an enquiry. Upon returning the receptionist seemed irritated that I was back and when I asked how contact was attempted they responded " I closed your file , now I'm going to have to open it again." It was clear this was a bit more effort than this person wanted to make. In essence the email they used was incorrect, and even though they had my phone number no attempt was made to ensure contact. There were some other pieces of the conversation that I won't take up space with, however it was the condescending tone of voice and attitude that prompted me to write this review. This person was rude, condescending and disrespectful towards myself. They indicated that they would be the person performing some of the procedure I was booked for. In that light and with a strong sense that the front desk staff is an indicator of the tone of the office I made the decision to decline any appointment at this office, I returned to my optometrist who referred me to ask for a referral to another ophthalmologist outlining my reasons for the request. I have never written a review before but then again I've never felt the need to .
