I had an absolute awesome experience! I had passed this place a trillion times and decided since I had gotten a new vehicle to do a new thing and try this place out! Boy am I glad I did! Terry, Randy, and Joe were wonderful. Since I had a new car and this was my first oil change I didn't even know what grade of oil the car took. Randy was sure to tell me right away and made sure all of my other fluids were good. He checked my tires and made sure I had the air pressure I desired, which was my deal maker! (as a side note, the tire recommendation was 35psi as a minimum which most places only do the minimum. I asked for 40 so that my ride was more firm and he obliged with a smile) I love their personalities and the fact that they are local guys serving the community. We had an awesome experience here. I originally found this shop by requesting mechanic quotes via yelp (yea I didn't know u could do that either) Terry from Randy's Lube responded quickly to all of my messages and offered the best price. I had intentions on coming on Saturday but decided to head Friday evening since my bf would be with me. We got there 30 minutes before closing but terry and jay were still full of smiles and ready to help. Not only did they change our air filter, they also checked all the fluids, timing belt and some other things on the car. We also had other basic questions and they were happy to answer all of them. Also, after hearing we had too much air in the tires, terry took some out without us even asking. I don't even live by this place anymore but will drive out of my way to keep going here to get my oil changed. It's usually the same guys, super friendly and professional. You can tell they take pride in their work and are honest. It's always nice and quick too, even if you have to wait in line. When it comes to car repairs, even the most basic of services get me frazzled. My past two vehicles were leased, so oil repairs were always covered at the dealership. However, I no longer lease and finally needed an oil change. I immediately turned to Yelp when I seeking a reliable place to get the work done. Randy's was the only auto repair shop that I found with all five stars! That, combined with great reviews, sparked my interest. I called Randy's earlier in the day (a Wednesday) to find out if I needed an appointment. I'm pretty sure I spoke with Randy himself. He was extremely friendly and noted that no appointment was necessary, unless they were going to be doing other work on the car. He also noted that I could wait in the car while they did the work. They are open until 6p and he noted that the car they'd take would be at 5:45. I headed out of work a little early to get to Randy's that same day. Upon arriving, Randy greeted me with a huge smile and warm, friendly attitude. This guy is the real deal - no BS. I pulled into the bay (there are two) and Randy checked my lights, then proceeded to start the oil change. Randy had me in and out in about 25 minutes. It took him a little longer than usual to get the oil changed due to a metal plate underneath my car. I appreciated him giving me the heads up that it would take a little longer, but I really didn't mind. Wednesday is ladies day, but I guess he gives the special to everyone. Total with tax for a non synthetic oil change came to just $33 and change. I will definitely go back here in the future and would highly recommend Randy and his staff to anyone needing basic car maintenance work. read more

I went to West View Express Lube on Saturday. Yes they were very nice to me as I got my oil change. When I got home I reviewed the receipt and other than the oil change they had items checked off they did not do. On Monday I called, the person who answered the phone basically said the guys had a long day and were tired. I told him I don't consider that an excuse. He got very angry and said was the oil change done if so isn't that good enough, even though tire pressure etc was included ( which they did not do ). I asked to speak with the manager , he said not only was he the manager , he was also the owner. Here is the best part, rather than making it right with a sincere apology he told me never to come back again. This place really is as good as it gets. I got there a little late, but they stayed open and took me anyways. 15 minutes, and done. Very thorough, even though they were technically off the clock. I had a few minor things wrong with my car underneath, things that had shaken loose that would occasionally cause part of the plastic behind the bumper to drag. While they were under the car, they fixed it, free of charge. For doing such a good job, first few rounds were on me (via a well earned tip). As long as I'm living in the North Hills, I'll never go anywhere else. read more

Terry and Randy were very friendly and helpful. Explained everything they were going to do and told me right up front the price for oil change after tax. No gimmicks. Randy for a huge rodents nest under my hood, called me over to show me and gave me a few tips on preventing that happening again. Pulled in for a lube job today after reading the reviews here. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with no appointment. These guys completely exceeded my expectations in every way. Randy and Terry are not only complete professionals but they have somehow created a different kind of customer service experience. It's hard to put into words but from the time I got there I was made to feel like my friends (that knew what the heck they were doing) were working on my car as if it was their own, instead of going to some anonymous chain. This business does a great job at oil changes, which I have experienced for a year or so now. However, my experience with repairs they have performed (Brakes and Transmission/Motor Mount), have not been so good. So, use them for your oil changes but I would definitely leave the repairs to Service Shops, that have facilities and Techs that are better suited for that type of work. read more

Great, local place with a very, very quick and thorough oil change. They also check your tires, fill your washer fluid, etc all for free. All this for less than most of the other places. I have been there twice now and won't go anywhere else. I'm actually happy to see there are other services provided and plan on keeping that in mind for the future. read more
