Holy poo in all of my years owning cars, I've never had an experience like this. This family owned business is incredible. My check engine light came on and they ran a test (for free!!!) to find out it was because the had cap was loose. They reset the engine light and I was on my way. I also need a new muffler and both brothers did a thorough check to see what is needed. They checked my tires, exception from emissions (I drive under 5,000 miles a year), and so much more. Scheduled my muffler appointment for a couple of weeks from now because they're so busy. There's a reason for that!!! They're honest, more than fairly priced, knowledgeable, professional, and all-around incredible. So thankful to a coworker who referred me. I will never get my car serviced anywhere else. This place is a hidden gem-literally! Tucked away on a street called Mathews even though GPs takes you to Mellon...you'll find it. The brother that work here go above and beyond to explain anything and everything you would want to know, easing my secret fear of car mechanics taking advantage of me. They give you options and NEVER pressure you into getting more work done than needed. They're also not patronizing whatsoever which is a comfort to my lack of knowledge about anything car related. I will probably never chance going to a different place. They have a loyal customer for life. Be warned they are usually slammed with appointments. They will always make time to look at your car and see what's wrong, but might not have an opening to do any work. Always call ahead before you go! Unless it's on Monday...Ive never been able to get through on a Monday for some reason. If you do get an appointment you will not be disappointed!! read more

Brunos garage is by far the best auto garage we have ever been too. The two brothers are very friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of their customers. They never overcharge and their work is always perfect. Advice- Appointments are difficult to get (usually 1 month wait) so plan ahead! read more

Definitely recommend!!! Bruno's Garage has been running for 3 generations. Mike is so nice. His service is professional, and the charge is very reasonable compared to others I inquired with. He was considerate to provide everything I need while waiting for him to repair my car, and was so patient to show me the problems of the car and answer my questions. After I went back home, he called and told me that he was still worrying about the weird sound of my engine. So he made a call to Honda to testify it, and told me where and how to solve it. This is perhaps the best mechanic shop in Pittsburgh. It is ran by two brothers and may not look like much but they offer excellent service, honest work and great pricing. Recently I brought my truck in after another shop said I needed a litany of repairs. At Bruno's they did only the necessary work and even fixed the ignition switch which had worn out and only charged me for the part. These guys are great, but they are usually backed up with work so you may have to schedule in advance. read more

Absolutely amazing people! Not just at fixing cars, but also as people. We had lived in Pittsburgh for about 22 years prior to moving here, and always relied on Mike and Greg to fix our cars! We have recently moved out of Pittsburgh and miss them. In particular when my daughter called recently and mentioned that her brakes were making some sound, I told her that if we were still in Pittsburgh I would have simply dropped off the car there and they would have taken care of it! They generally have a backlog, so you do need to schedule appointments ahead of time. But there were quite a few times when I had unexpected problems, and they did their best to accommodate me. Bruno's is by far the best garage I've ever taken my car to, either here in Pittsburgh or in Los Angeles where I used to live. I drive a 2000 Saab, so believe me, I have A LOT of experience getting my car repaired. The two brothers who own Bruno's are great. They are very knowledgeable, they're very willing to help you and, above all, they're honest, which I've found is a rare commodity when it comes to mechanics. Their work seems to be ok so far the problem is over promising and under delivering, which is a problem for most auto repair places. I took my car in Monday morning to have a gear shift cable replaced. A two hour job that ended up taking 4 days. They were waiting on a part to come in from the dealership. I even offered to go pick up the part myself, but they kept saying it should be on its way. That left me renting a car for 4 days, adding almost $200 to a $360 car repair bill totaling almost $600. Also, the arm rest had broken off while in their possession. This had happened before, so I was not upset about that. What concerned me was that they did not put it back on, and said they needed to get some glue, which they could have done before I came to pick up the car. Now I will need to find time to go back out there, so they can put the arm rest back on, which will take less than 1 minute to do. I assume they are busy cause they do good work, but that comes at a price. Rather than taking care of the customer, they are trying to get as much work done as possible. read more

It is the best mechanic shop I have been to in Pittsburgh. I went there every year for inspections and every time my car had a problem. Absolutely excellent service!! The most valuable things that I have found about this shop is the honesty and great price, as other people mentioned in their reviews. The brothers who work there are very nice and honest. They are always ready to help. There are a couple of times when it was just a tiny problem with my car, they fixed my car without charging me, and even refused to take my tip. They always explained to me what problem my car had, gave me recommendations, and found the least costly way to fix it. The only thing I wish they could've done better is setting up voicemail function for their phone, as the phone doesn't work sometimes. However, they are always in the shop from Monday to Friday when I drop by, even after I get off work at night around 5. It's not easy to find trustworthy mechanics. I feel pretty lucky. Definitely recommend to those who are looking for a good mechanic shop in Pittsburgh. read more
