I was diagnosed with a serious neurological condition, and was in very bad shape mentally and physically. I didn't have much hope that things would ever get better for me, and when I tried to look into the future, all I could see was a dark void. I was over-prescribed with opiates, and many other types of pharmaceutical medication. I was told to go to PT by my doctor, and I reluctantly went. On my first session, I sat down with Bree, who was my Physical Therapist. She took the time to listen to me, where I've come from, what I've been dealing with, and my current state overall. She was so helpful in providing that first foundational step in the spinning chaos of my world, and it allowed me to focus on taking that second step, one after another. My doctors to that point had told me that they were not hopeful I'd ever get better, and that I might consider that THIS was the best it would ever be for me. Bree never had that mindset, and never even considered that I wouldn't improve. She believed in me when nobody else did, including myself. I dove in to our sessions, and looked forward to each of them - her sessions providing me the structure that I slowly built the rest of my week around. I truly believe that she saved my life, and I'll forever be grateful to her. Even more so, my experience was not singular. The entire clinic thrives when she's in the building, and the feeling lingers after she's gone home for the day. People - both coworkers and patients - feed off her energy. This is even more powerful when you consider that Bree has her own challenges, her own life, her own obstacles. She is the kind of rare selfless giver that never seems tire or allow outside issues effect her clinical environment. I love Bree, and I truly think you will too. She runs on a steady diet of Sunshine and Taco Bell, and can turn even a bleak situation to seem lighthearted. I've never been to a Clinic and heard the kind of laughter that I hear in her space. It's really amazing. As far as the specifics of the work done, I think her approach of using all available techniques really pays dividends. We've done the standard stretching, weight training, warm up/cool down, and exercise. We've also done stimulation with TENS units and heat/cold, ultrasound, and massage. My favorite is definitely the Dry Needling, and I pride myself on being her pincushion. She is so magical with her needling, and it stimulates the endorphin production that makes you feel wonderful, and I always feel compelled to give her a hug once my neurotransmitters are firing. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. First I am a firm believer in physical therapy. Therapist can provide a road for you to return to…read morefull mobility but most the work will by done by you. I have had dis-located ankles, knee surgery, frozen shoulder and he last torn rotor cuff along with some bone shaving. The shoulder has been the hardest to return to health as it has been bad for more than 10 years. I started therapy with Courtney at this location on Bell Rd. with a sling and no movement for the shoulder at all. Now after just over 3 months I am pain free the first time in years. If your committed to recovery and will commit to the time I whole hardheartedly recommend Courtney Baxter at this location. I don't want to leave out Jose but Courtney has been the one working at returning my shoulder to health for the last few months. He is extremely knowledgeable and listens to what you have to say,regarding my pain. Alex and CJ have assisted as well. They are both kind, curious and well trained at what they do. When you have any question about your treatment,this staff is amazing. They handle things in a timely manner. The enter staff has a positive attitude. When you are sent to Physical therapy, you are obviously in pain. This staff really tries to make this a positive experience. I would highly recommend ATI and I can't say enough about the staff. Katie was incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely caring throughout my treatment. After just 12 sessions, my pain was significantly reduced and I felt much more confident in my movement. What I like about these people is that they're relatively on time when you come in for your…read moreappointment. I like the friendly people and how they're good at showing you how to do all the stretches and they also give you good handouts so that you can continue your physical therapy at home. What sucks is how they handle insurance. It really shouldn't have costed me more but I somehow had to pay an extra $179 for three sessions despite my insurance being able to cover this. Thus, you should double check with them to make sure they would process your insurance correctly.
