She would come home with poop in her underwear due to not wiping correctly and no teachers helping or watching her go poop. That last straw for me was when I went to pick up my baby not a single teacher could tell me where she was just that she was on the playground somewhere and I found her on the playground being STRANGLED by another classmate!!! With not a single teacher in ear shot of my baby screaming trying to get away from this child. I had to run to my babies rescue and rip this other child off of her!!! This place is to not be trusted. Who knows what could've happened to my baby if I didn't show up when I did.

Yes, probably. I do NOT have a problem with any of the staff at this location. We were pleased with our child's teachers. The Director and Assistant Director always seemed nice and friendly, but I had overheard them on a few occasions talking about other parents, staff, etc. when they thought no one was listening... I can get past that for good daycare, but it is unprofessional. My issues lie with company policies. Sunrise/Tots Unlimited seems to be very much about their bottom line. You will find this with a lot of these daycare centers, unfortunately. The idea is to spend as little as possible and reap maximum profit. That's just how capitalism works, unfortunately. However, it is ultimately why we switched to another child care... My child's room when she was enrolled had a few children with special needs-- I liked this because I want my child to be in a diverse group and know how to treat other children. However, in a room with 18 children and two adults, which is within the legal ratio for the age group, having three children with special needs seemed to stretch the teachers very thin. I was pleased with my child's teachers, but you could tell that they just did not have the support needed. There need to be additional staff for children who require a higher level of care; or ratios need to be lowered. I did also have concerns about sanitation. Pink eye did run rampant here when my child was enrolled. My child contracted it twice. I understand that it is common in daycares, and knowing how little support staff had, I am sure that ensuring all children properly washed hands with soap was not possible. I did also notice the room over legal ratio on a few occasions. I get that this happens, but once again, they need a couple extra staff members who can float from room to room to keep within ratios AND support children who have higher needs.

Also I was not aware that daycare's "suspend" toddlers. I was under the impression that they would work more with them instead of sending them home due to being understaffed and small behavioral issues especially considering a child at 1 and 2 are still learning and trying to communicate as well as regulate emotions. My son started in the one-year-old classroom, and from early on I became concerned about the way…read morehe, and other toddlers, were being treated. The first incident I witnessed was a teacher, Ms. Jen, using her feet to push children into their chairs. I immediately brought my concerns to the front office because I do not believe that is an appropriate or acceptable way to handle toddlers. Unfortunately, I felt those concerns were dismissed. Not long after, I saw the same teacher use a spoon to stop my son from doing something. Aside from being inappropriate, it was unsanitary. I also witnessed teachers picking food up off the floor and giving it back to the children, which was extremely concerning. About a month later, I picked my son up with a busted lip that had dried blood on it, a knot on his head, and hives covering his body. No one contacted me about any of these injuries, and when I arrived, staff could not locate an incident report. After about 20 minutes of searching, they finally found it, but it was so poorly written that it was nearly impossible to read. Another issue occurred during water day. My son was placed in a different classroom and allowed to participate in water activities even though he was not scheduled to be outside for water day at all. He was allowed to play without a swimsuit, sunscreen, or water shoes, and spent time outside soaking wet in the same clothes I had dropped him off in. No one contacted me beforehand to let me know he had been moved or to ask me to bring the appropriate items. Ultimately, we chose to unenroll him early after receiving conflicting information regarding tuition and scheduling as he transitioned into the two-year-old classroom with an additional day. Let's just say, If they're teaching children the same math that they use to calculate payments, you do not want to bring to your child here! Throughout our time there, it became apparent that communication and organization were lacking. Staff members frequently provided different answers, and concerns were often met with explanations rather than meaningful resolution. As a parent, I was deeply disappointed by the overall lack of professionalism, cleanliness, accountability, and organization. I never felt confident that concerns were taken seriously, and there always seemed to be an excuse instead of a solution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this facility. That said, I do want to recognize the teachers who made a positive impact on my son's experience. Ms. Megan, Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Morgan, and another teacher; a Black woman with glasses who was usually there midday, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember were all kind, attentive, and genuinely cared for the children. They were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience.

They do so many fun activities and crafts. The teachers are patient, loving and kind. My son is not easy going and they handled him with grace and professionalism. They are equally as wonderful with parents. The director Nicole is a gem and the company is lucky to have her!! They have photographers come multiple times a year, making it so easy to get proves pictures of your kids.
