Once we met them and could see how much love and care they had for the kids we knew this was where we need to be. Mrs Stoetzel runs a tight and organized ship. Both of my boys were loved and cared for and they had so much fun while learning so much to be prepared for kinder. I feel that they not only learned what they needed academically but also learned important skills of loving and caring for others as well as their community. The church is also very supportive and collaborate with WOL Preschool to put on family events several times a year. We will definitely return during summer breaks for VBS and summer camp.

Both my special needs son and my daughter have attended since they were 18months old. They put on family events each month for fall festival, Christmas, Water Days and so family picnics. These events are great for the kids and adults. Very blessed to have found such a great Christian preschool for our little ones. Will miss them when my youngest goes into kindergarten next year. My little girl loves going to school and is going to be well prepared for kindergarten. She knows her alphabet, counts almost to 30, knows all her colors, does crafts daily and even learns to love Jesus through music, prayer and church time. All the old reviews are from previous management that no longer exists so I wouldn't give them a second thought.

This means I have now experienced childcare in 3 different rooms at this center and at different stages of my child's development. I chose Wirtzies because when we walked the center the assistant director at the time acknowledged children with their names as we walked through. She showed that the staff there would care about my child and treat them like a little human and not just a child. My gut felt that this would be a good place. They offer an inner generational program where the children have time with the elderly adults in their day program. This also was something that was of interest to me. My gut was right. They care about my child. My child has learned so much from them that he wouldn't learn at home. I get pictures and updates from them regularly. There have been incidents where he is hurt or hurts someone else. But you would be hard pressed to find a parent who watches their own child and never gets hurts. You can't watch your child 24 hours a day and neither can they with a state ratio of 5 to 1. They have addressed each incident appropriately. They care about my child and that is worth anything I need to pay them but they are affordable. I know they also offer state subsidized care if needed. My child is happy there. He loves his friends and his teachers. He even loves the ladies at the front desk.

Knows how to follow directions at home. I now love watching her sing and dance by herself. She is excited to go to school in the mornings and gets sad on days she doesn't have school. Andrea and Vanessa have made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Outstanding teachers/caregivers are very rare. Hats off to Andrea! She just knows what my daughter needs (as if she has known her longer than a few months!) Vanessa with her kind smile, is there to help my daughter feel secure that she can wear her backpack till she's ready to take it off. Seriously, the teamwork that has been developed in this class is what any parent would hope for. The kids always enjoy their teachers, and they have a lot of fun little extras. The school office is now designed with locking doors and is very secure. My child has progressed from being just an average student to reading 2 grade levels above the rest of the class. They are doing more complex math and science than at the Dysart schools. They also have a lot more FUN! They have field trips, assemblies, and field day. The school we came from didn't have any of those things. School has to be a well-rounded adventure or the kids will just become drones. Most of the teachers are very nice. There are always exceptions, but where isn't there the same issue? The principal and asst are very approachable and are very interested in making Carden the best it can be. Carden is a Performing Plus school as well. If you like the idea of smaller classrooms, student based learning, and fun opportunities for your child, come to Carden.

Another incident had transpired where another student was touching my child inappropriately & when it came to time speak with the teacher she WAS AWARE of the incident but FAILED to INFORM ME ! I am not only concerned about my child but I am also concerned about the other student as well as that parent should be aware and informed of the information ! The teacher made it a point to MESSAGED ME AND INFORM ME OF OTHER THINGS but not mention what was MOST IMPORTANT. NOT ONLY did these terrible incidents happen but my son had been here in this school for 6 months & his main teacher still DID NOT know his name but would address him as someone else . FINALLY each time I would address my issues of concern the teacher and both principal and assistant principal were VERY CALLOUS . NO apology NO concern NO EMPATHY ... NOTHING !! Not to MENTION ALL INCIDENTS THIS SCHOOL IS VERY PREJUDICE!!!!!!
