Rib eye with Mac n cheese, mash and mushrooms
Teddy N.

I've been coming here a few times a year with my friends for the last 7 years and each time we are never disappointed. The staff is amazing and friendly, the food is delicious. Always gotta get the ribeye with a side of mash and mushrooms.

This wasn't as bad as Fox News playing on the tv. I'm certain a man like Huckabee would allow the channel to be changed.

If you're looking for a great steakhouse, keep looking--this is not the place. The food is terrible, poorly cooked, and absolutely not worth the price. The service? Just as bad--slow, inattentive, and indifferent. But the real kicker is the owner, who seems to thrive on personal attacks rather than addressing legitimate concerns. Instead of hospitality, you get hostility. (Read his replies) Save yourself the disappointment--there are plenty of better steakhouses that actually care about quality and customer experience. The ambiance is the worst part, unless you like propaganda with your steak!

What an amazing place. Our server was very attentive and polite. This is a charming little place with a great vibe. Definitely a good date night spot. (My dinner date was my daughter) We both had filet. Cooked perfectly. Quality is everything. The mules were great too. I had the baked potato. She had steak fries. We also had asparagus (best I've had) and broccoli. I definitely recommend Thai spot

Slab Bacon. And Beefsteak Tomatoes & Georgia Onion

So there is a caveat here. This is probably not the best steakhouse in NYC. However i had a 5 star experience here. And a pretty good steak. Came on a Saturday night. It was busy. But not crazy. Super friendly service. Had an espresso martini. Delicious. Slab bacon and tomato and onion. Bacon was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Braised pork shank with risotto. Not my go to. But it was very tasty. My friend got the Ny strip steak. Which was cooked properly. Could have used some finishing salt. But it was also pretty good. $200 with tip. And that was three martinis. Like i said. They were good. Good value for what you are getting. Recommended!

All I can say is wow! What a gem came on a Wednesday with some friends, and it was great from the food/drinks to the service. Our server, Nicholas, was wonderful, very kind, and professional. We ordered our drinks (aperol spritz, cosmopolitan, Russian mule, and negroni. We started with the shishito peppers, caesar salad, and a spinach salad with a bacon vinegarette. We shared a porterhouse (medium), mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, asparagus, and mushrooms. Everything was delightful . Serving size with all of us was perfect for 4 people. We wrapped up with the pecan pie (outstanding), key lime pie, chocolate martini, and frangelico. The decor was ok, I was a bit surprised based on the location. It was small and intimate, and I enjoyed that.

Food was lovely and reasonably priced - service was great too. Unfortunately we had to leave early as my partner wasn't well but they kindly wrapped the steak up for us

Grilled Baby Loin Lamb Chops

I was looking for a nice place for a birthday dinner and found this place. Ambiance was great, the lamb appetizer was amazing, the felt mignon was really good! And the mushroom risotto was incredible. My seat however was right in the path of the ventilation and was blowing on me the entire time. It wasn't a concern for me, but it did cause the food to cool quicker than I would have liked

Sautéed Onions

I visited on Christmas Eve, and must say this place was ran like well oiled machine. From start to finish, the service was incredible and the food came out in a very timely manner. The New York strip was exceptionally great, and honestly a very good price for NYC. We also got the sautéed onions and macaroni and cheese which were both great compliments to the main entree. The decor was very festive and made the experience even better. Despite it being busy, our waiter was very attentive and the staff really knocked it out of the park. The cocktails were also another highlight. If you're looking to get a steak in the Hell's Kitchen, this is certainly the place to do so!

We showed up and the place was buzzing with a line out the door. I checked in at the podium and hostess said table will be ready in 5 minutes. 2 minutes later, we the hostess to our table. Looking around everything was the old classic/stereotypical ideas of a what a great steakhouse should be and it did not disappoint. Sal was our waiter, he was friendly, professional and one look we could tell we were in the more than capable hands and nothing would be amiss. He told us about the specials, lunch or dinner menu options. The other wait staff worked like a team that has been together for years, checking on everyone in our section, delivering our orders, refilling our glasses, answering questions, bussing our table everyone with smooth and practiced motions. 2 Caesar salads, 1 8 oz filet w/baked potato, 1 surf and turf w/broccoli everything cooked and presented to perfection. For dessert, the legendary cheesecake with coffee and the baked Alaska. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. In this restaurant the waiters make everyone feel important and special and maybe it's a little pricey but it's New York and they have been around for a really long time so they knew what they are doing and are doing it GREAT.

Then it got more delicious the more I ate. But the "pièce de résistance" occurred when my daughter, who doesn't like steak tasted a bite a said, "I never knew steak could taste like that ". The crab cake and stuffed shrimp were very good also but not quite as good as the steak. The ambiance of the whole vibe reminds me of an old movie, where important people from all walks of life go to have a good meal. Our servers where top notch also, If I had to nitpick, I would confess the Mac & Cheese was a little dry and lacked flavor. Also the fries were a little over done but I came for the stake and I left a happy man.

The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok (dry-aged, bone-in ribeye was tough and gristly with a lot of sinew in my cut - unexpected for a good cut of what should be well-marbled meat). Asparagus on the greasy side. Lavender creme brulée was good, though, really could taste the lavender hint over the creamy custard with just the right hint of a crunchy sugar melted on top. Overall, a good service experience, just a bit tough that my steak didn't meet expectations. My dining companion had a great grilled branzino, though - that looked amazing. Will have to try that next time or the bolognese (next table over had that, also smelled amazing)!

He helped us make the right selection of steak, and appetizer. We were seated with a nice view of the outside promenade. At first glance the dining room didn't seem large but on the trip to the restroom I learned that they can accommodate large groups and have private rooms as well. Restroom was clean and equipped. We ordered the crab cake, 12 oz. filet mignon and lamb chops, and the lemon cake. The crab cake was chocked full of delicious crab meat, not a lot of breading. The steak was flavorful and arrived hot. The double-bone lamb chop entree was enormous, and delicious. It was accompanied by parsnip puree and a mint-pistachio chimichurri, scrumptious!! For my pre-birthday dessert I chose the lemon cake and was delighted to see Gerard had also brought [ME ;) ] us the strawberry Hibiscus cheesecake and I was so happy he did!!! The fried calamari was some of the best I've had tho it was observed with a little bit of cocktail sauce and a huge thing of tartar sauce. I'm sure I could have gotten more cocktail sauce, since I don't like tartar sauce, but it wasn't necessary. The calamari was so good. The lobster bisque was delicious and the picture can't show you that it was full of lobster. There was a LOT more lobster than a lobster bisque normally contains and the price was about normal for a lobster bisque with one tiny piece of lobster. The iced tea was a bit out of control. If I'm going to be charged $5 per glass of iced tea, that glass should be larger than the ones they use AND not 90% ice. That much for a glass of ice with a splash of iced tea is extreme. This place is quite packed every night so it was the way to go. I came here for dinner post showtime and my son and I over ordered but happily enjoyed everything. I think our eyes are way bigger than our stomachs. Starters: - French onion soup, au gratin, was perfect. Great onion profile and lots of it. Not overly salty so that was good. - Beef tartare, classic French bistro staple, must order this. The portion was quite generous and it was delicious. We couldn't stop eating it. The petite toasts were a nice accompaniment as well as the raddiccio salad - cheese board, IYKYK, I never met a cheese I didn't like. This board was matched with nice pairings. Think grapes, fig jam, and marcona almonds. The cheese were a classic French variety - bleu, comte and brie. For our entrees, my son opted for a sandwich and I got the steak. His croque Madame was really delicious. The bread, the ham, the baked cheese and the fried egg was so savory. Yummy. My steak was a sizeable portion but I purposely ordered the bigger ounces since I know we'd share. Fries are nice and skinny, perfectly seasoned. Our waiter was attentive and I asked for the table next to us given all the food I know we were getting. He was not sure if he could accommodate but I insisted he check with management. They came over and put it together for me. I appreciated that given a table for two, for how much we ordered, it'd never fit. Totally would return. If you like French food, this is a solid spot to try.
