Despite living 30 minutes away we had yet to give this place a try. Located on Paint Street near Yoktangee Park, parking can be an issue. During the day it's metered - after 5 no charge but still rather limited spots for the number of stores in the area. We found one across the street. We got there about 30 minutes before closing but service was courteous and we were seated and had our food within 20 minutes. We weren't the only late arrivals. Another couple came in behind us. We felt bad about being there after closing but many tables still had people eating when we left. We asked for the pizza they are known for and got a 16" NY style cheese pizza brought to us in minutes. Super hot! Overall, we were underwhelmed with the pizza. Sauce was good and not acidic. Pizza could have used more cheese. It seemed like the sauce to cheese ratio favored sauce. The star was the crust. Nice and crunchy. Edge was cooked nicely but I would have liked it to have give a little longer so the middle had more structure. Next time we'd definitely order it topped. They use cupped pepperoni so my husband was happy. I generally eat cheese pizza but even I said it could benefit from a topping or at least more cheese. I'd give the place 7/10 but we're willing to try other things on the menu to see if the cheese pizza just wasn't for us.

Bruno's Spotted Hare is fantastic…read more I stopped by recently with a family member while visiting, having heard good initial things about this restaurant. The space is gorgeous; it has the dark coziness of a lodge with beautiful, wild-inspired accents. We were seated in a booth near the window: the booth was comfortable but may be a tight squeeze if two larger adults are sitting on the same side (I'd recommend asking for a table in that case). I started off with an American Trilogy cocktail and loved it; it was surprisingly smooth and easy to drink while being flavorful. We debated appetizer options but went with the sourdough bread and butters. The butters were rosemary, garlic, and sorghum, and while all were great, the sorghum was a favorite. The bread was flavorful and nicely chewy. I'm always happy to see a vegetarian-friendly soup on a menu, so I ordered the beans and greens soup and loved it. It has a very deep flavor, yet the beans weren't overly mushy. The server (who was amazing) recommended some Tabasco for adding heat, which I enjoyed. For entrées, my dining partner got the fried chicken on the server's recommendation, and I got the mushroom pasta. The fried chicken was described by my relative as a crunchy coating with a moist meat; they called it "the best fried chicken" they've had. I tasted the mashed potatoes and can happily vouch for them, as they were creamy and perfectly seasoned. My dining partner raved about the home-style green beans, too. My mushroom pasta was fantastic. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were flavorful without being slimy or mushy. The pasta was hearty and cooked al dente. As a pleasant surprise. I got a couple slices of bread with my pasta, too; this time topped with some cheese and seasoning. It was perfect for soaking up the last bits of pasta sauce, as I cleaned my plate. I got dessert to go; it was the cornmeal pound cake and packaged conveniently (with the ice cream separate). It was delicious even at home; the cake itself wasn't too sweet, meaning that the combination of it, the ice cream, and the honey had a perfect balance of flavor. I will try to make a special trip here whenever I'm in the area. It's a beautiful, special addition to the local dining scene.

It was around 4:30 and wasn't busy yet. I sat at the bar in front of the giant screen showing a golf tourney (don't mind at all). Derek was one amazing bartender. I had the Clockwork Orange cocktail that had coconut on the rim, with the Burrata starter. Perfection. I asked Derek about the Farmer's Salad and the Green Goddess Salad. One is more fruity and the other is green with peas. Both sounded delicious. I chose the Farmer's with added salmon. I'll get the Goddess next time. I added a glass of the House Red, which is a light Cab. I loved my meal and my visit. It's very pretty and the service was excellent. Can't wait to return. I just read it was voted Best New Restaurant in 614's Best of 2026.

The downstairs was closed when we arrived (Monday evening). Both the downstairs and the upstairs are very spacious with the downstairs having a large bar too. We had a great staff supporting our event - kept our drinks and bellies full. For appetizers we had a beautiful charcuterie board with a great selection of meats, cheeses, fruit, olives, artichokes, hummus and Gluten Free crackers and crostinis that were delicious!! You wouldn't have even known they were gluten free. Also had bacon wrapped dates and baked feta bites. The bacon wrapped dates were so good! For dinner we had chicken piccata, mahi, veggies, strawberry spinach salad, scalloped potatoes and a spaghetti squash dish that was vegetarian and vegan. Very clear signs on allergies that is much appreciated! Dessert we had flourless chocolate cake, mini cheesecakes, and one of my favorites - buckeyes! The space we had was great - mingling area for appetizers, buffet of food in the center of the room that separated the appetizer area and the seated dinner part. Plenty of room. Having a few more high top tables would have been great in the mingling area as holding your beverage and enjoying appetizers can be tricky with no table. Believe we had 40-50 people. I didn't get to take any photos, but a great space for what we needed - lots of windows and lights upstairs as well.
