The practices used my so many dealers, both new-car and used, is not an enviable one and the well-deserved reputation brought upon this profession is an unfortunate and difficult thing to deal with for the few decent individuals and companies that do exist. And now the good news! Florence, Oregon is honored to have one of the very best of these few decent companies that I've ever come across. I've only been lucky enough to have lived here since 2017, but have done business with Johnston Motor Company a few times now regarding my trusty 2004 Ranger. And then last week, I found the exact used car I've been looking for now for a few months, and every one of the folks I talked to in the process of "making the deal" have been just amazing. My well-tuned built-in BS Sensor still works very well, and the needle didn't even wiggle the whole time! These folks are my friends and neighbors here and I was treated as one of them. On this particular car, a like-new 2016 Ford Edge, my out the door cost was nearly identical to the figure I had in mind would be my offer, so no haggling was involved. The whole transaction was a pleasant interchange. The staff (that I met there, about five of them) all live here on the beautiful Oregon Coast, some all their lives, they seem to know everybody in town, and when I left there with my new ride I felt more like I'd just shared a get-together with neighbors than having survived a car purchase. I've received the same level of performance from the service department, plus having my Ranger repaired there was the same kind of experience. So any of you folks, neighbors or visitors, Johnston Motor Company has my recommendation - in case I haven't made that clear yet! Skip Thomsen Florence

Plus they charged me $200.00 to disable it when fixing it the correct why would have cost $350.00. It still needs to be fixed the correct way. When I called to ask what the heck. The head guy at the service counter told me it was what ford said to do. I looked that up on the ford's website. It clearly states that it is a temporary fix. I did not ask for a temporary fix. They are refusing to fix it the the proper way. How I asked for it to be fixed. They simply state that is ford's recommended fix. Funny I did not know that ford owned my f150. Needless I will be going else where. I would have thought being a small town service center, they would try to please the customers not drive them away. Thanks for the help serenely Dave A

He said he makes sure that the car is back within factory tolerances on the body and he even blends the paint on both sides so it doesn't look like a repair. The color was a great match and nothing stands out between original and repaired. Jennifer was great with coordinating with insurance to make sure that we received new quality original parts on our low mileage and garaged vehicle, rather than settling for older salvaged parts that were unacceptable for the condition of our car. Our VW looks new again! The VW dealership even said it looks as if it was never in an accident, and they see a LOT of body and paint work come through their shop. They even immaculately cleaned our car inside and out. Thank you Matt and Jennifer! So pleased with the level of quality!

I have been using Yelp for years, and up until now I have never written a review. I feel compelled…read moreto write a review about Kustom Auto Body due to the fact that Matt, the owner, and his team did a stellar job replacing the bumper on my 2008 BMW 335i. I take great pride in maintaining and ensuring that my car stays and looks as clean as possible. Coming home from work one day, a truck blew its tire which smashed into the front of my car, leaving behind the remnants of what had once been my beautiful bumper. I got in touch with my insurance who informed me that I could get it repaired, and that I could choose my own shop. After looking through some reviews on Yelp, as well as a friend referral, I decided to check out Kustom Auto Body. I stopped by the shop after making an appointment to see what my options were. Matt was professional, friendly, and down to earth. He certainly knew his stuff, and after looking at my bumper recommended that it should be replaced. I ended up going with a bumper which required a bit of "kustom" work to get it to fit, and Matt along with his team did an excellent job. Not only did Matt do an amazing job installing my aftermarket bumper, but he even spot painted my rear bumper and deck lid which had peeling paint. After seeing the finished product, I can assure you that Matt has an eye for detail and takes great pride in his work. I would highly recommend checking out Kustom Auto Body in Eugene. Even though my insurance paid for everything, Matt's pricing for labor and paint were more than fair, and were far less than what other places would have charged. I would trust Matt with any job I could think of, and I know I'll be back in the future.
