I had seen all of his 5 star reviews and he was actually the lowest price quoted by all of the Yelp referrals. Jose arrived promptly on time and first inspected my chimney. He took a photo to show me exactly what we were looking at. After explaining the cleaning process, Jose set to work. He had all the tools he needed in his kit to include a powerful vacuum and a protective tarp and fireplace cover, so as to contain the cleaning byproducts. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I had to constantly hound them down! Every time I called it was like they completely forgot they already spoke to me. Before expecting my first visit from them, an older gentleman told me he had to cancel because he had COVID. I get that, it's ok. So he rescheduled and never showed up. Then after I called, they rescheduled again. They didn't show up that time either. Then this whole cycle AGAIN, the next week. I missed about 4days of work because I was expecting them. So I called, AGAIN, they showed up 2hrs late and just looked at my chimney without touching it, and said they "needed to order a part". They never got the part. I had to call about 4 more times only to hear excuses and delays and promises. I gave up and stopped calling. They never ever showed up or contacted me ever again. So strange! This was all during the course of December-February. Now it's hot as hell outside and I'm just indoors staring at my dirty chimney. When a guy shows up on time, that's always a big thing. When a guy shows up on time without getting lost on the windy, narrow roads of Crestline, California; it's stellar! Jose was the dude who worked on the vents and ducts in my house. He got started immediately, and showed me how much nasty dirt was in my heating ducts (there was a ton!). Then he commenced on the dryer duct. I clean my dryer filter every other time, at most. Still there was a bunch of lint billowing out of the vent as Jose was working like a mad man to clean it up. Then he went ballistic on the chimney! Soot rained down into the fireplace like snow as he cleaned that chimney out. He noticed a crack in my fireplace, and fixed it. Called this company out to check out my chimney before I used it for the first time. Turns out the fireplace has only burned gas all these years so was very clean and there was no need to have it serviced. The good thing was the serviceman was honest with me. As it turns out, my neighbor saw the truck, talked to the serviceman, and was able to get a flashing replaced while the serviceman was here. Another great thing the serviceman did was rescue a mother cat and her litter of kittens off their roof that had been chased up there by a pack of coyotes roaming the neighborhood.
