Andrew was so great! Very friendly and very informative. We hadn't cleaned our chimney in 7 years since we bought our new home. ( I don't know how often to get it cleaned) we definitely were very overdue as he told me that it should be cleaned once a year if used a lot and every other year if you use the fireplace less. Worker: Grant Smith I would not recommend this company. Horrible service. I wouldn't even rate them with a star if I didn't have too -5 Stars. 1. They did not replace the screws and left them on my roof. the chimney cap was almost off. 2. Ash every where on my roof and was blowing into my pool. 3. He swept the chimney and vacuumed the insert. I noticed my home getting smokey and the flow of smoke was not coming out like before. I removed my insert and had to personally remove 3 buckets or ash. They had smoke test checked off on their form, but never did one. 4. We purchased a bottle of creosote that was filthy and used. 5. Basically took advantage of my wife not knowing what to check. read more

I ran across the Chimney Sweep Guy at the San Bernardino County Fair in Victorville. They were super nice and seemed very capable. I hired them to clean my chimney . A very personable trainee showed up on time and went right to work cleaning my chimney. While he was cleaning the pipe I could hear his brush binding but thought nothing of it. As he was working on the stove the owner, Andy arrived to show him some tips and tricks. They finished the job, cleaned their work area, collected their fee and left. All seemed well until my first fire, my home filled with smoke. I called the company and spoke with Andy and he kindly sent out someone to take another look. This person also seemed new, he tried a few things and had to leave for another appointment without fixing the issue. I called to complain and Andy came out a few days later and said my pipe was rusted through causing my home to fill with smoke. We schedule a day for him to replace my pipe. The day my pipe was to be replaced no one showed up. I called to complain and Andy schedule another day to replace the pipe and said this time he would personally make the repair. A few hours before Andy was scheduled to fix the pipe Andy called to cancel as he hurt his leg or knee on a previous job. There was another issue but this review is long enough. A few months went by and I had not heard a peep from the Chimney Sweep Guy. I ended up calling another company who was able to reconnect a disconnected elbow from my stove to the chimney pipe that caused my home to fill with smoke. Gladly, no rusted pipe was found, however, the pipe just above the stove flu area was also clogged and full of soot and debris. I can provide pictures and documentation if anyone disputes this review. I wish this company the best as they seem like very nice people. But I would not recommend anyone use their service without looking closely over their shoulder. Godspeed. read more

They were just at my house cleaning my dryer vents!!! They come out on a regular basis to check my pellet stove/clean it and take care of my dryer vents! Can't tell you all how important that is when the threat of fires is all around us!! All my friends should get dryer vents as well as chimneys checked and cleaned!! They have also cleaned and repair my pellet stove. Last November 2016 Andy came out and repaired and replace the motor on the pellet stove that was not working on my 22 year old pellet stove. These guys are great and have serviced my stove and dryer vents for years now...they are awesome..They clean up after themselves, are courteous, polite and quick...I highly recommend them! read more

I was very impressed with Andy. Excellent work, professional introduction, friendly, explained what work he was doing on both the chimney and the wood stove inside. He talked about some very minor issues we might want to look into next season along with an explanation as to why our wood stove was not working at optimum levels. Before leaving he cleaned all work spaces and CLEANED out the inside of the wood stove itself. He was right on about the optimum heating we were not getting from our stove, because we had not had it cleaned properly in a while, our home was TOASTY warm last night with the fire in a newly cleaned stove....ended up opening an extra window to regulate the heat in our house. Clowns. I scheduled a cleaning and inspection with these guys, they were scheduled to come out on a Wednesday and called me the Tuesday before to reschedule to the next Tuesday. Tech shows up Tuesday and cleans, inspects and replaces a few fire bricks. He then informs me my insulator and gasket need replaced before using, telling me it's very important. He informs me the office will be in touch with me to schedule the installation of said parts. The next Monday comes without hearing from them so I called the office. They had no idea so they said they would call the tech then call me back. Well they never called so I called them the following day, they said a tech could be out the following Tuesday at 5:30pm to install. Tuesday comes and about 3pm they call me to inform me the parts are not in, they will be in Wednesday and the tech will be out Thursday to install. Yup you guessed it, no call no show in Thursday at 5:30. No answer when I call them. So now I begin to study how to do it myself. I discover the entire baffle is installed incorrectly and the insulator is of a special ceramic type that cost 100$, they quoted me much less leading me to believe they were going to install a much lesser quality insulator. It's not very hard to shove a broom down the chimney and vacuum out the pit, if you have any real work that needs done to your fireplace I would suggest not using these guys. They have showed extreme incompetence! read more
