I've always had male doctors (pediatrician and PCP) so I had mixed feelings on this but decided to not make any changes. COVID came along so many physicians offered telehealth rather than in-person meetings. To be frank, I was also skeptical with a telehealth appointment but at that time this was the only option. My first impression of Dr. Kim: upbeat and personable. Dr. Kim had gone through my history and focused on my current health condition where I needed to make changes. Since that initial telehealth appointment, my appointments with Dr. Kim have gone back in-person and I do like the convenient location of Hale Pawa'a. She shares the office with 3 other female physicians representing Queen's Health Care Center. Currently, all Queen's Health Care facilities still require all (patients and visitors) to wear hospital approved masks. I was in a rush as I didn't want to be late for my appointment and forgot my mask in my car, however, fortunately the receptionist provided me with a disposable one to save me a trip to my car. On my last appointment, in addition to my continued health condition, she also listened to recent concerns where she provided options and solutions. It is reassuring when a professional listens to your concerns and provides solutions with its pros and cons. Dr. Kim's staff are very pleasant to work with. I was pleased that Joanne, one of Dr. Marsh's longtime staff, is still on board as she recently assisted me. I appreciate how the staff follow-up with you and make the proper arrangements to have my prescriptions picked up at a location that's convenient for me. Overall, I am pleased with Dr. Kim and the smooth transition of her taking over the patients of Dr. Marsh. She listens to you and prioritizes the patient's health.

There's a reason he's booked out for months (I waited nearly a year and a half for my first appointment, but it was absolutely worth it). The practical details are great too: free parking (seriously, what doctor's office has free AND available parking?), excellent location, and the building itself is clean and professional - not sketchy at all.
