First off, I called in my order for pick up. when I got to the store, it took them about 5 minutes to find the order in their system. When they finally found it, she told me it was out for delivery. Even though i never provided an address. It was going to some random address nowhere near me. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the delivery driver to return. By the time i got home the food was cold. The food itself was alright, but nothing special. The wonton soup is bland. The seafood eggrolls are very tiny conpared to the regular ones. Okay, my wife is from Brooklyn and I'm from an hour outside Philadelphia. We could get pretty good Chinese, not to mention other asian cuisines with relative ease. We moved to the Houston area, here in Conroe and have been thrilled that we did so but it's hard to find a real Philly Style Cheesesteak, New York Style Pizza, or tastey Oriental food. Weng's Wok is good. The sauces on our General Tso's Chicken and our Beef with Broccoli were the highlight of the meal. I asked for both to be made extra Spicy and wasn't disappointed. Now, the downsides. The chicken egg rolls were bland though full of chicken. Most disappointing was the Chicken Lo Mein. Overly heavy noodles with almost no flavor in the sauce. It's sad. I had high hopes. We'll eat here again until there is something better in the area to come along. read more

I called and tried to order for delivery and these people were SO RUDE. I called an hour before close. A whole hour. So they told me since its so late, theyre gonna charge me an extra $10 on top of the delivery fee. So whatever, Im hungry. Then, I give this dude my order and the entire time, hes having half a conversation in a different language with someone else. When Im done, I ask him to repeat my order just to make sure he got it right and he very rudely repeated it back to me, like Im messing up his whole week or something. So I then go to give him my card number and once that is done with, he proceeds to tell me that its late (again) and asks me if im going to tip the driver on my card? I said no. And he starts rambling on about how late it is and all this so I eventually hung up on him. Now I have the biggest headache and Im still hungry. Never trying to order here again. read more

We are from Michigan and was so hungry for Chinese food! The egg drop was very good, just like our restaurants at home. But you have your taste buds ready for the food you know and it's nothing like home. The egg roll was just ok, we have what they call plum sauce for the egg rolls, which I love, what they didn't have it, gave me the red sauce they use for the sweet and sour receipts, not the same. Ordered orange chicken, chicken taste wasn't chicken, to me and the fried rice, it was white rice that was lightly brown not at all fried rice. And at home we get the best yeast baked rolls, yum yum!!! So I'm still hungry for Chinese , but I will wait till I get back home in May. read more

I guess most Chinese restaurants set up for the day pretty much the same: selection of meat morsels to toss with a variety/combo of veggies etc. All those ingredients here are well- prepped and fresh. What holds this at 3 stars for me is that the sauces seem not too unique/distinct and a little too dominant, too heavy. Ordered the Orange Chicken on the lunch menu. Egg roll and egg drop soup were good, but the wasabi sauce was strong for my liking. There were only 5 pieces of chicken for the lunch option, but they are large and if cut up, about the same portion you'd get for another restaurant's dinner size. Very clean tasting, and they use white meat instead of dark, fatty meat that some places use (I prefer the white meat). Restaurant is clean and orderly. They just delivered $60 worth of food to our HOTEL ROOM with NO FREAKING PLASTIC WARE TO EAT IT WITH. When we called to let them know that we had no way to eat the food they first said they were out of plastic utensils. When I pressed them they said we did not request any Needless to say there was a lot of cussing from my end. My sister ate Pad Thai with her fingers. I most definitely will NOT be back. The food was not good in any way. I had lunch from here and got the sautéed veggies with hot and sour soup and an egg roll. The soup tastes like a spoonful of grease; it was so bad I literally took one bit and spit back out into the bowl and threw it away. The veggies were nowhere near fresh and they were swimming in brown gravy that took every bit of rice to sop it up. When I bit into my egg roll, grease came oozing out of all sides. No thank you. My friend got the egg drop soup and she said it didn't have any flavor at all; it also went in the trash. Her Mongolian chicken wasn't very good either. They were fast on getting it ready though. I recently started working on he Conroe area and was wanting some Chinese food today. Pulled up Yelp to see what was in the area. Up came Weng's so off I went at about 1pm on a Friday. Was greeted as soon as I walked in, seated immediately, drink order taken and when that was brought out I placed my order. I ordered the lunch size General Tso's chicken which comes with choice of rice (I prefer steamed with this dish) an egg roll and soup (I chose Won Ton soup). Quickly the soup and egg roll were brought to my table and as I was finishing my soup the entree was brought to me. It was all excellent. Nice size lunch portion. White meat chicken that was fried with a light batter. Egg roll came with a couple of dipping sauces (1 sweet and 1 spicy). I like my egg roll plain due to the flavor they have but I tried both sauces and each was good. Cup of soup was well flavored too. Will definitely be coming back. read more

My mother and I are disabled so we always order delivery. Weng's is one of only two places, both Chinese, that will deliver to our home. The food at the other is slightly better but the prices are much higher, so we order from Weng's. It takes about an hour but the food always comes very hot. I get enough to last for three or four meals. I make fried rice for the last one. We enjoy the Thai curry, General Tao's chicken, egg drop and hot and sour soups and several other dishes. I wish spicy dishes were a little spicier but otherwise, we enjoy all the food and will continue to order here! read more

Weng's Wok has the best General Tso's Chicken in the Conroe area. The meat is actually white meat, unlike other places that use cheaper dark meat. The fried rice is also fantastic. Every time I order over the phone it's ready in 5 minutes for pickup. read more

Weng's delivers so whoo hoooo! The menu is interesting with items listed like Sweet and Sour, then you can make it chicken, beef, shrimp, scallop or combo, and that applies to a lot of different dishes. Sweet and sour is good because there is not tons of breading. Lettuce wraps are good too. We like a lot of the dishes, Sesame Shrimp, Sweet and Sour, (sweet and sour shrimp is like fried fantail shrimp and you dip it into their sweet and sour sauce). The Triple Delight Sizzling Platter has brown sauce, but Triple Delight hot pot has white sauce. Broccoli needs a tad more cooking in alot of the dishes. Love it when there are bean sprouts in a dish, wish there were more of them. Not crazy about the regular egg rolls, pretty flavorless. We like General Tso's except the chicken chunks are HUGE and would be better if they were smaller. Their Moo Shu was not a hit, cabbage is way to finely shredded for our taste, I know it sounds weird, but it was just not good that way. Seafood egg rolls are unusual, they appear to be a thin wrapper, rice or wonton, with whole shrimp and slices of green onions, open ended; good, but greasy. Crab puffs are very good, usually crispy, but sometimes not, like the oil is old or something. Family members say Mongolian Beef was very good with bean sprouts and onions in a thin teryaki sauce. Anyway, we don't live far, and delivery has been really fast. Orders are always right. Oh yeah, they have this combo fried rice that is really good, it has the usual onions, rice, egg, BUT it has a lot of thin strips of meat, chicken, beef, pork pieces and a few large shrimp. It is very good :-) We'd love to see mix and match dinner specials though, sometimes it's a little pricey to get the 2 apps we love and two entrees and rice.
