Not one to complain, particularly because I do typically like Wendy's, but right now I'm an unhappy customer at the Wendy's at The Topsham Fair Mall. In this case, at the drive-thru. We just placed a large order, big enough that it took a while and I could feel the cars behind me getting impatient. After paying we received several bags of food (kids meals, drinks, fries, several burgers plus...), yet I was still suspicious as to whether or not we had gotten the entire order, something I typically check. ut it was fairly large and that would have taken a while as well, so I said to the clerk, "...so did we get it all? Just checking because it's a long drive back if not". His reply: "You got it all sir. Thanks and have a great night". So off we drove home to enjoy a take-out dinner from Wendy's. Wouldn't you know when we got home, the two large burgers were missing!! Grrrr, a couple of unhappy guys went without while the women and kids did get theirs. Lesson learned, ALWAYS check the food against the receipt. So I called, asked for the manager and without anger explained the scenario that had played out only 30 minutes or so earlier. After listening he offered to send a coupon for two burgers. That's coupons for the two burgers that I payed-for and didn't get. As in most cases, fair exchange is no bargain, and this neither a bargain nor recompense for the inconvenience afforded me and my family. Certainly not even close to the aggravation of driving 14 miles round-trip. So I declined and said I would be in in-person to discuss next trip to the TFM rather than having them mail the coupons and perhaps get a more fair settlement. Yea, it's a small battle and hardly worth it, but I'll challenge the offer. I'm not asking for the world, but not settling for a poor compromise, nor compromising on and offer for a poor settlement. nuggets were overcooked & cold, fries were cold 2 out of 3 sandwiches were made wrong and we waited 40 minutes. This was the third time to this Wendy's, the first 2 were disappointing but I know that restaurants have bad days so I like to give them the benefit of the doubt. I would have selected a negative rating. We don't go out to eat often but choose the Wendy's in Auburn, Maine. What a BIG mistake! We waited in line for ten minutes then got to the register but had to wait another five more minutes to be served. While waiting we noticed the employee were fulfilling driveline and online orders first while making their customers inside the lobby wait. We went there last night for dinner after seeing JP concert and the experience was AWFUL, we waited like 20 mins at the drive thru and window, we told Jaff that we're doing $8 BIGGIE meal and he did NOT listen to a word we said, we get to the window, he gave us the WRONG size of the brownie batter vanilla frosty, we asked for a LARGE which is on the receipt and he did a SMALL, like seriously??!!!! He didn't seem happy which is NOT our fault he didn't listen to what we said, so he gave it to us for free and said to us which REALLY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL " don't expect it to happen again. " That is really UNCALLED FOR, DISRESPECTFUL, BAD customer service and none of them were wearing their uniforms, and he shut the window in our face not giving us a chance to say thank you ! The hours aren't updated on the website cause it say they don't open dining room till 10am instead of 6:30am, plus we called them 3 times few minutes ago and NO ONE IS PICKING UP! THESE WORKERS ARE TERRIBLE!! They are so so rude, they don't know costumer service and it shows. They argue with each other in front of costumers as well. They messed up almost my entire order. Don't go here unless you want to wait, and hear arguing while you wait for them to mess up your food. They yelled at me and my classmates and were saying "There's a bus here! Clearly I am an idiot as I have gone back to this place. I ordered online. Then sat in the drivethru to pick up my meal. I get up to the speaker finally and told I have to go inside. I ordered drive thru as I was having trouble walking. So I go in. I have to wait for the cashier to finish talking with staff. THEN I have to basically order again. I wait and wait. I'm given cups to get my drinks. They don't have what I ordered. I got Diet Coke instead. Then my burgers are put in a bag. During this they have helped three other people. What seems like countless people through the drive thru too. And I wait. And then I wait more so the cashier can get other people their drinks. Eventually he gets my fries. I did ask why I had to come inside for an online order that allowed me to select Drive Thru. I was told "that's the way it is". Horrible answer. No ketchup inside. Terrible service. Fries were cold. This was a terrible experience. This store needs to be taken off DoorDash. They couldn't make a menu item, didn't have bacon, forgot eggs on a Breakfast burrito and made the poor dasher wait almost 20 minutes. The food was so bad we literally just threw it out. This restaurant has continually proved it's a waste of real estate. It gets worse when talking with the "manager" she knew they had sent us food of this quality and allowed it. The inside is closed, so we were stuck in the drive through for an hour, when we asked if my autistic son could use the restroom she said "my 93 year old mother is in there so no. If you're not a Door Dasher you can't come inside". Awesome. So the inside isn't open on the weekend and they didn't think to put a sign anywhere? Manager on duty (?) said that price must have been changed in the system and they weren't notified or some such nonsense, and he refused to give me the 30 cent difference back! I am not a person that typically looks for take-out restaurants but when an attractive promotional flyer came in my mail I decided to give the Topsham Wendy's a try. So, I have already returned for an encore meal! The taco salad is far better and a higher quality than other take-out restaurants prepare, exceeding expectations and the price is very reasonable. So, thinking, maybe my one experience was just a fluke, I returned to try the Ceasar salad and it also exceeded my expectations. Love the sandwich offerings, the bread is delicious. Give this particular Topsham Maine Wendy's a try. Yes, I will return for a third time and soon. read more

The drive through was crowded; so we went inside to order. Service was prompt and the guy taking our order seemed nice. However, we got to our table only to find out that he mistook my "baconator meal with fries" for a "baconator and baconator fries." Easy enough mistake, though a little annoying. However, halfway through our meal we were kicked out of the dining area of the restaurant because it was supposedly closed. There has been no signs specifying this, and the employee who said it seemed to be judgmental and impatient. Of course we understood why this was, but their execution of the matter was very disappointing. We got to the car only to find out they had also forgotten to give us any silverware or napkins. As far as Wendy's goes, this one, was another one. The staff was friendly, they had one of those digital Coca Cola machines, which is still strange to me. I guess I'm old fashioned. If I am going to eat fast food, I prefer Wendy's. I had a Cesar side salad which was fresh and crisp. I also had a few things off the cheap-o menu.
