They have a very large menu and after sifting through it a bit, I chose "The Big Top" which is a pastrami Reuben. I, personally love Reubens and was excited to try a variation that was the namesake. I was ultimately dissapointed that the sandwich wasn't served on Rye bread and was considerably smaller than the sandwiches my coworkers got. The sandwich itself was tasty but the juices from the sauce made the bread soggy by the time we made it back to the office (short drive). I'm not sure if I made a bad decision or if my review accurately reflects the quality - I won't be going back unless I'm sitting down to eat the sandwich right away and I won't be getting the "The Big Top" again.

The place was absolutely mobbed with people and I was not quite sure how we were going to have time to eat prior to bowling. Our waitress (and it kills me that I can't remember her name) was fantastic. She recognized the urgency of our situation and worked at lightning speed to get us our meal and then followed up with us numerous times as we moved to the bowling event. She was absolutely perfect! The food was excellent. Bowling was a blast..... candle pin bowling is so much more difficult than it looks, though! About half way through our game, our lane experienced a fatal mechanical problem. This bowling alley is an historic gem and the machinery that runs the lanes is definitely "old school". Ownership was very accommodating and gave us a gift certificate to come back and bowl again another time. We just placed a large order, big enough that it took a while and I could feel the cars behind me getting impatient. After paying we received several bags of food (kids meals, drinks, fries, several burgers plus...), yet I was still suspicious as to whether or not we had gotten the entire order, something I typically check. ut it was fairly large and that would have taken a while as well, so I said to the clerk, "...so did we get it all? Just checking because it's a long drive back if not". His reply: "You got it all sir. Thanks and have a great night". So off we drove home to enjoy a take-out dinner from Wendy's. Wouldn't you know when we got home, the two large burgers were missing!! Grrrr, a couple of unhappy guys went without while the women and kids did get theirs. The staff sometimes surprises me by going above and beyond, doing things like holding onto my wallet that I dropped inside and handing it back on my next visit when they recognized me, and bringing a hot order of fries to my table because they thought the ones they gave me were old. I can't remember the last time I left here irritated.
