The service was good but I feel like they can be more informative, especially to someone new in town. If you're not aware, the burgers do not come with fries. You must order them separately. One thing the server did not mention. All she asked was, fries or onion rings? Now, I do understand we could read the menu, which we did, but most hamburger joints come with a side of fries especially at these prices!!! You're paying between $13-18 a burger, it should come with a side of fries! Now what she also failed to tell us was the amount of French fries that come when you order them. It's a large basket that could be shared between 2-3 people. We ordered three fries plus 1 onion ring. We paid $16.50 for three fries and barely ate through one whole basket! The fries seemed fresh cut but seemed like they had this weird film on the outside. Not sure if it's their oil, or if they didn't fry it at a high enough temperature. What we ordered: - bison burger (medium) : it came out burnt to a crisp. The initial bite wasn't bad but eating it more felt like you had a mouth full of ash. While I can appreciate a good charbroiled or grilled hamburger, it was overly done. Not to mention it was over cooked. There was no seasoning on top of the burnt flavor. It wasn't really edible. - old timer w/cheese (medium): add an additional charge for cheese! This too came out burnt! My daughter could only eat a little as it was too charbroiled/grilled. It too was over cooked and no where near medium. - green chili burger (medium): I had high hopes of this burger as it came with cheese and their infamous New Mexico Green chili! While my patty was not burnt, it was over cooked and it had zero to no seasoning! It came with a green chili mayo which was really good but it still didn't help with the seasoning! The burgers here seem fresh and the beef seems a good quality, but I still believe it's overpriced for what you get! I also understand times are hard and our economy is struggling with prices, but then they need to find other ways to cut prices down without sacrificing quality.

The food was fine, but the service was lacking…read more We have prior take out experience with Angel Fired Pizza and each time have been satisfied with the food quality. This night was no exception. Pizza, salads, beer and wine all were good quality. The service had a litany of issues: Guests waiting at the door for 10 minutes or more waiting to be seated. No one apparently assigned or dedicated to busing tables. Only one person to run the bar who was also preoccupied with waiting on some tables and delivering food. No order control despite handheld electronics (What salads did you order the kitchen lost the ticket? Supreme without bell pepper? No. Well that's what the ticket said.) No one apparently in charge to monitor and direct activities despite overhearing the young lady waiting tables say this was her first day. I'm not in the food service business, but it seems to me that most of this is easily solved. Hire another person and make them host/bus person. Keep the bartender behind the bar and focus him on filling all drink orders. Put someone in charge. Yelp is telling me I haven't mentioned ambiance. It was appropriately fine. Two large screen TVs with season appropriate shows running (in this case Red Bull mountain biking). The upstairs location gives a decent view through large windows. The decor fits the mountain vibe. I would go again, but will give them some time to work on the service. Take out is always an option.

I instantly knew something was off. Turn the light on, inspect it, it's sausage. I don't eat pork. My husband calls and they deny it. They said no it was beef. He was hung up on. I call, was extremely polite, explained who I was and how my husband had been hung up on. I got the manager who says oh it was written down wrong. So he puts me on hold, talks to the owner who says they won't refund or do anything to fix it. I will never eat here again. Last December I spent $300 on a major pre order for a big graduation party. $50 of which was a tip. They have gotten so much money from me over the years. Never again. Shame on you chalupps. It was incredibly busy so we were hoping for some good Chinese food. The ambiance is an old Chinese restaurant that used to have a buffet, but it was clean. What we ordered: - kung pao chicken: I thought the flavors were good, the right amount of heat and I absolutely love Chinese broccoli so this was good for me! It has peanuts and your typical celery so this didn't disappoint. - spicy chicken garlic: nice spice, but it was drenched in sauce. There were more vegetables than meat, so paying $12-16 for something with minimum meat seems a bit of a rip off. - spicy shrimp garlic: it was the same but with shrimp. I asked for extra shrimp and they charged $3, which is fine but I would think it would be heaping with shrimp, but it was the same as the chicken. - orange chicken: perfectly fried and the sauce was not overpowering of orange. My daughter enjoyed it, it was spicy but had a nice heat to it. - chicken lo mein: my daughter loved it. It was good and the noodles were mushy. - cheese Rangoon: a bit disappointing as I wanted some flavor other than cream cheese. It had a sweetness to it but a little green onions:chives would have made it better. - pork fried rice: didn't have a lot of soy flavor. It was mild and lack luster. While I wouldn't say don't eat here, it was one of the better eats of Taos in our opinion. If you're looking for Chinese food around the area, I'd try them out if you can't find anything else to eat.

The standard favorites will taste different everywhere you go. We ordered Peking Duck 1/2 and Hunan Lamb mid afternoon and warmed it up a few hours later in the oven. It was very good. The duck tasted great though a little on the small side for 1/2 a duck. The Hunan Lamb was mildly spicy and moist, not in a thick sauce, just light sautees to give it moisture, yes there were a few peppers and onion and that baby corn that so divides opinions. Just say no if you dont want it. We got a great dinner for $41.00. The service was very polite - my husband was Mr Paul, and a thank you for waiting. You can choose to eat in the restaurant but it is self service from your styrofoam containers and you clean up. These boys know about Lamb and we were very happy.
